Ric Flair Needs Another Surgery After Fall

Ric Flair says he needs one more surgery and possibly a skin graft after injuring his eye in a fall in Tampa last week, and then he'll be good to go again.

Ric Flair has a little more work to do before he’s fully healed.

The WWE Hall of Famer posted an update on X on Wednesday about his recovery from last week’s fall.

One More Surgery And One More Possible Skin Graft, And Then I Will Be Good To Go! Thank You @USFHealth Eye Institute!

Flair fell while crossing the street outside a restaurant in Tampa on Friday, Oct. 23, and suffered cuts to his head and eye. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he stayed until about 4:30 a.m. the next morning.

He posted a photo of himself wearing an eye patch the next day and told fans, “I will be okay!” His daughter, Charlotte Flair, also shared a positive update.

The fall came hours after Flair revealed he had a blood clot in his leg. He canceled a convention appearance in Seattle because his doctors limited his travel.

Flair, 77, has dealt with several health issues over the years, including skin cancer, and he has been open about each of them with fans.
