Road Dogg Says He Was Wronged By WWE


Road Dogg has explained leaving WWE.

The Attitude Era star had worked with the company in a behind-the-scenes capacity for a long time and he was appointed the co-lead writer of SmackDown back in February last year. It was reported in early March this year, however, that the wrestling veteran had resigned from the position.

The former WWE star discussed his decision during a recent appearance on a live Busted Open show. Road Dogg first claimed that anyone who watched WWE Unreal knows why he left:

Did any of you watch [Unreal]? I know you're not a fan of the show. I’m old, so I’m not a fan either. it’s a little behind the scenes. I feel like I don’t need to tell you what happened. I feel like if you watched that show, you saw what happened, and so here I sit with you tonight. and I’m happy man because of it,

I Was Done A Little Wrong: Road Dogg

Road Dogg did not explain the exact scenes he is talking about. Though clips from Unreal showing the wrestling veteran butting heads with other creative team members over the plans for Chelsea Green have drawn attention on social media.

The former DX member noted that he still has friends in the company. He then claimed that at this point in his life, he wants to work at a place where he can make a difference:

I feel like I was done a little wrong, and I feel like I was receiving a paycheck, and I didn’t have any purpose. I was making a dollar, but I wasn’t making any decisions. I think I can make a difference somewhere, where maybe I don’t make as many dollars. In this phase in my life, that’s what I’m thinking of,
