Sammy Guevara may be on his way out of AEW.
The 32-year-old was considered one of the pillars of the promotion during its initial years. He was seen as a future world champion by many after being recruited by Chris Jericho into his Inner Circle, and later feuding with the likes of Cody Rhodes over the TNT Title during his early run with the company.
After a number of controversies leading to multiple suspensions, however, his career seems to have stalled. Guevara has largely been relegated to ROH the past couple of years, having wrestled only three matches under the AEW banner so far this year.
Sammy Guevara Leaving AEW?
The former TNT Champion got people talking about his future when he drew attention to his new social media bio with a post recently. Fans have noted that Sammy Guevara has made no mention of AEW or ROH in his new bio, only referring to himself as a Professional Wrestler:
Not a lot is known about Guevara’s current contract. Being an AEW original who signed with the promotion even before their first wrestling event, it’s possible that he has a long-term deal with the company. He is still featured on the company’s roster page, which suggests that Sammy remains under contract at least for now.
