TKO knows what they want.

WWE has announced that Quavo will be performing an unreleased track from his upcoming album QROMELIFE at this week’s Sunday Night’s Main Event.

This news came after reports that WWE nixed a similar segment featuring Lil Yachty after backlash faced during the last SNME show for too much celebrity involvement.

Now Fightful Select has provided an update on the link between the two stories. According to the site, the Quavo performance was added because TKO was set on having some sort of musical performance taking place at the event.

The officials are testing the waters for live performances at bigger WWE shows with this segment, viewing it as a soft launch for the idea while also enhancing the overall experience for fans in attendance.

The idea is to develop it along the lines of halftime performances at major sporting events, as a spectacle that can become another attraction for shows when the city and atmosphere align.

Lil Yachty has instead been announced to face US Champion Baron Corbin in a match with a 5-minute time limit. Trick Williams will get his rematch for the US Title if Yachty is able to survive the bout.
