An update on Dragon Lee?
The WWE star’s status has been subject to rumors recently after Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer reported that his contract with the company is set to expire ‘fairly soon.’ With Lee’s brothers Dralístico and Rush both being AEW regulars, there has been speculation about his future with the company.
WWE has continued featuring Lee in prominent matches despite the reports, however. He challenged Chad Gable for the IC Title on last week’s Raw from Mexico City and was involved in the Money In The Bank qualifier that main evented this week’s episode of the Red Branded Show.
What Triple H Told Dragon Lee
Dragon Lee was also featured in the latest WWE YouTube vlog, which followed Triple H around for the company’s trip to Mexico. The video shows The Game talking to the masked star after his match with Gable, telling him that he is needed here long term:
Dude, fucking badass. Hey, do me a favor though? That table bump? Keep that shit special…that’s a now and then one. I need you here long term, not short term.
Whether the inclusion of the clip is a coincidence or an intentional hint from the company regarding Lee’s future will be revealed in time. For now, it does give fans something to talk about.
