ByAnutosh BajpaiProfessional Wrestling Journalist

A positive sign towards CM Punk’s WWE return.

The former World Heavyweight Champion has kept people guessing about his status in the last couple of months. Despite promising that he was not going on a vacation, the wrestling veteran has not appeared on WWE programming since Raw after WrestleMania 42.

The unexplained absence has given rise to much wild speculation. This even includes talks about a potential AEW return for the Straight Edge Star, with his old rivals in the Elite promotion also reacting to the reports.

CM Punk Appearance Announced

The official WWE account recently posted a video, confirming that CM Punk will be a part of the upcoming Fanatics Fest. The Best In The World will be appearing on the event on Sunday, July 19:

While the latest announcement is not an exact confirmation of Punk’s return to WWE programming itself, it does show that the promotion is confident about the former WWE Champion making an appearance when scheduled.

It also supports the report about plans being in place for Punk and suggests that the former AEW star will be back on WWE TV around the time for the 2026 SummerSlam event, which will be taking place a couple of weeks after the Fanatics Fest.
