The CM Punk Connection

This post comes amid the talks about CM Punk’s unexplained WWE absence and the potential of his AEW return. A report that gained traction on social media specifically mentioned the bridges he burnt on his way out of Tony Khan’s promotion and suggested that his return to the company down the line was not completely out of the question.

The 28-year-old was famously involved in a backstage altercation with Punk at the 2023 All In: London event. The fight resulted in the former AEW champion being fired from the company, while Jack Perry was suspended for 8 months before his return to TV in April 2024.

Though newer reports suggest that there is no truth to the talk of CM Punk having backstage heat in WWE after WrestleMania 42, and a plan is in place for his return to TV.
