In a moment that surprised everyone, Je’Von Evans went crashing through the roof of an ambulance after being pushed off a ladder by Bron Breakker at WWE Money in the Bank.
For Evans, the move effectively left him down and out of the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. For the fans, it left an audible crunch ringing in their ears.
During an interview with Busted Open Radio, Evans declared that his plunge through the ambulance, while seemingly scary, would be remembered for decades to come.
It’s going to be remembered for decades,” he said. “I’m grateful that I can be part of such a soon-to-be iconic moment. I wouldn’t say it’s iconic yet, but we’ll see next year when they play it back and everybody’s like, ‘Oh, that was crazy!’ Until then, I feel like it’s just been wild. Who can say they’ve been part of a Money In The Bank ladder spot, which is insane, at 22? Not a lot of people can say that.
Penta went on to win the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match after ascending another ladder and unhooking the coveted briefcase hanging above. With it, the luchador now has a guaranteed title opportunity of his choosing for up to one year.
Evans, while briefcase-less, still has a chance to claim championship gold as he and Penta challenge Breakker and Austin Theory for the WWE Tag Team Titles at Crown Jewel on November 7.
