At SummerSlam 2026 in his hometown of Minneapolis, Chad Gable squared off against Penta for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He delivered an incredible performance and dethroned Penta to win his first major singles WWE title.
During his run as champion, he defended the title multiple times against stars like Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee. Moreover, Gable’s huge upset over CM Punk seems to have given him a major push in his thriving run.
As the reigning Intercontinental Champion continues to build momentum, we will have to wait and see what is next for him.
