Solo Sikoa’s babyface run was supposed to be temporary. That may be changing.
WrestleVotes Radio reports the switch was originally expected to be a short-term deal, and that there is now internal speculation those plans could be reconsidered based on how well Sikoa has been received in recent weeks.
The outlet spoke with a source in WWE creative who had significant praise for Sikoa’s recent work, pointing to the natural charisma he has shown backstage for years. One talent called him one of the funniest people behind the scenes and said they are thrilled he is finally getting to show that side on television.
The turn landed on the July 13 Raw. Sikoa teased rejoining The Bloodline, then spiked Jimmy Uso and stood with Royce Keys against the rest of the group. It was his first run as a babyface since he reached the main roster in 2022.
The reaction has been loud since. He christened himself “Solo Dolo Sikoa” on the July 24 SmackDown, and a “pew pew” retort aimed at The Usos on Monday’s Raw spread across social media within hours.
WrestleVotes is not alone in the read. WRKD Wrestling reported on July 26 that the backstage response to Sikoa’s growth had been very positive, with plans to keep building his character on weekly television.
Sikoa teams with LA Knight and Royce Keys against The Usos and Jacob Fatu at SummerSlam on August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis.
