The WWE SmackDown brand is currently in Corpus Christi, TX for the next stop on the road to Money In The Bank: New Orleans. Tonight’s episode will air from the Hilliard Center, live on the USA Network.
WWE has announced the first blue brand MITB qualifiers for the big Premium Live Event on October 10. SmackDown will see Jade Cargill, Alexa Bliss, and Jacy Jayne tangle to fill a spot in the Women’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match, while Randy Orton vs. Trick Williams vs. Rey Fenix was announced as the men’s MITB qualifier.
Coming out of Monday’s Raw, Bron Breakker and Je’Von Evans have been confirmed for the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match, with four open spots. Lola Vice and Sol Ruca are the confirmed women’s competitors after this week’s Raw.
Speaking of The Viper, WWE has announced that Cody Rhodes will be on tonight’s SmackDown to discuss his recent SNME loss to Orton. Cody will be interviewed by Michael Cole.
In tag team action, officials have booked a non-title bout with WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga taking on Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki. An update on the program with Damian Priest and R-Truth is also being teased by WWE, with an update to the Money In The Bank card expected as well.
WWE previously announced that new Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn will be on tonight’s SmackDown. In addition to the announced names, other Superstars advertised locally include CM Punk, Tiffany Stratton, and Gunther. RAW Superstars Penta and Dominik Mysterio are booked for a dark match.
