A widely discussed WWE return may finally be happening soon.
Ever since Big Cass made his return to the company in August, people have been expecting his partner Enzo Amore to join him and reunite their famous tag team. Now a new report is suggesting that the much-anticipated return might finally be happening, though with a twist.
According to a latest report from PWinsider, there is belief among some sources in WWE that Enzo has signed a new contract with the company within the past week. Though they claim that if everything comes together, Amore could be headed to NXT instead of returning directly on the main roster like his former partner.
Formed in 2013, Enzo and Cass were one of the most exciting tag teams of their time. Despite not winning any titles in the company, they were one of the most popular acts of early NXT, and their popularity translated to the main roster.
They failed to find a lot of success in singles competition after the breakup of their tag team in 2017; however, and they were both released from the promotion within a year of the end of their run together.
The suggestion of putting Amore on NXT instead of the main roster with Cass is an interesting possibility. We will have to see if this means the company will keep them separate for good or start building towards a reunion soon after Enzo’s return to TV.
