WWE is continuing the march to Money In The Bank with tonight’s SmackDown on the USA Network. The show will air live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
WWE previously announced that Trick Williams will defend the United States Championship against Baron Corbin later tonight. The bout will take place inside a Steel Cage, and will serve as the rematch to Trick’s title win over Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
Two Money In The Bank Ladder Match qualifiers were also announced for SmackDown. Women’s division action will feature Charlotte Flair vs. Giulia vs. Lash Legend, while the men will be represented by CM Punk vs. Gunther vs. Finn Balor.
WWE has since announced a new six-woman match for SmackDown. Women’s Champion Chelsea Green will team with Paige and Tiffany Stratton to take on Fatal Influence, made up of Women’s United States Champion Jacy Jayne and the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.
WWE is set to open SmackDown with the Steel Cage match, according to ViperReports. This was the opening match listed on an early run sheet. The main event is scheduled to be Punk vs. Gunther vs. Balor for a spot in the Men’s MITB Ladder Match.
Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes will continue their war on tonight’s SmackDown. The generational Superstars are both listed for their own segments, according to Viper, but no other details were provided.
