Zilla Fatu got a win in San Antonio, and his mom made sure of it.
Fatu posted a clip to his social media from an independent show in San Antonio, Texas, where his mother, L.T. Fatu, jumped into the match to bail her son out. She drilled his opponent with the Samoan Spike, and Zilla climbed up top and finished it with a splash for the victory.
MAMA ZILLA WITH THE SAVE IN SAN ANTONIO!!!!!! ITS A FATU THANG!!!!
There’s real weight behind the moment. L.T. is the widow of the late Umaga, the two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion who made the Samoan Spike famous before his death in December 2009. Watching Zilla’s mother deliver her late husband’s signature finisher to set up her son’s win turned a fun indie spot into a genuine family tribute.
Zilla, the son of Umaga and a member of the legendary Anoa’i family, has been steadily building his name on the independent circuit since debuting in 2023. Trained by Booker T, the third-generation star carries his father’s finisher forward as his own, and this weekend, he got to share it with the woman who raised him.
