John Cena has given his former rival Umaga’s son, Zilla Fatu, one of the biggest opportunities of his wrestling career.
The Last Real Champion appeared live on the star-studded November 4 episode of NXT after revealing major details about The John Cena Classic on RAW days ago. He began by feeling the electric energy of the Black and Gold brand and its passionate audience.
Cena then got down to business and revealed the second invitee of The John Cena Classic after Cody Rhodes. He was none other than Zilla Fatu. The Main One came down to the ring to a huge ovation and greeted Cena.
The Never Seen 17 called himself an Honorary Samoan, citing his rich history with The Bloodline members, including Zilla’s father, Umaga, and was happy to extend him an opportunity to compete in The John Cena Classic. The crowd chanted ‘You Deserve It,’ and Zilla expressed gratitude to Cena for giving him that spot.
The Main One boasted confidence and issued a warning to everyone that he would rise to the occasion on December 14 in The John Cena Classic. This marked a huge turning point in the upcoming unique event set to take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
With Zilla Fatu getting his spot, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the field pans out for The John Cena Classic.
