WWE RAW Viewership Down For King Of The Ring Night One

Monday’s edition of WWE RAW from Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena averaged 2.534 million viewers, down from 2.729 million the previous week.

Here is the hourly viewership breakdown, courtesy of ShowbuzzDaily:

  • Hour 1: 2.546 million
  • Hour 2: 2.634 million
  • Hour 3: 2.422 million

The episode was expected to increase in viewership it served as the start of the returning King of the Ring tournament. 

The biggest competition that WWE RAW faced came in the way of the NFL as they held a pre-season game between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos that averaged 3.011 million viewers on ESPN. 

For comparison, the same episode last year drew 3.110 million viewers for hour one, 3.241 in the second hour, and 2.936 in the third hour.

Some of the matches that took place include Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler, Ricochet & The Miz vs. Baron Corbin & Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman vs. WWE United States Champion AJ Styles, Samoa Joe vs. Cesaro, Cedric Alexander vs. Sami Zayn. Both Joe and Alexander advanced in the King of the Ring. 

Also, The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. The Revival, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, and Braun Strowman & Seth Rollins vs. The OC (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) to win the RAW Tag Team Titles.
