Who Is Replacing Braun Strowman At Mixed Match Challenge?

3

The team of Braun Strowman and Ember Moon was going strong at the Mixed Match Challenge with winning all four of their matches and they surely seemed like the favourites of this season.

But since Braun has been injured on last week’s Raw, Ember needed a new partner to continue competing in the event.

WWE announced that Curt Hawkins will be replacing Braun Strowman as Ember Moon’s partner at the Mixed Match Challenge. Hawkins, known for his losing streak, has lost 236 matches without a single win.

Moon had a singles match against Alicia Fox on this week’s Raw where Fox was accompanied by her Mixed Match partner Jinder Mahal as well as The Singh Brothers. Curt Hawkins was at ringside for Moon and she ended up winning the match.

“Mahalicia” and the team of Ember Moon and Curt Hawkins will face each other on tonight’s episode of the Mixed Match Challenge following SmackDown Live.

On the other hand, there is no information on when Braun Strowman will return, as he was attacked by Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin last week, shattering his elbow in the process.

Rey Mysterio Shares Thoughts On Retirement, Comments On Son Continuing Tradition

0

We recently wrote about Rey Mysterio revealing that wrestling his son, Dominic would be a dream match he wants before he retires from in-ring competition.

Speaking with Lilian Garcia on her ‘Chasing Glory’ podcast on the subject of leaving the squared circle, Mysterio shared his thoughts process on retirement, what that might look like, and when he predicts it could happen.

“I’m definitely getting close to shutting down sometimes in the next couple of years,” he admitted, before adding, “I definitely don’t see myself going past five years. That’s without a doubt, you know, and I just wouldn’t wanna do it for the sake of my body and what I’ve gone through.”

“I Don’t Want To Have To Keep Doing This Because I Have To”

Allowing a unique insight into how he views his career at this stage, Mysterio hinted that he felt comfortable if he were to leave because of the decisions he and his wife have made over the years.

“You know I think I’ve done the work at home and I’ve brought the money in and my wife has been very smart to administrate everything at home,” said Rey. “She’s been a wife, a mother, a friend, and she’s been my accountant all these years and my administrator and she’s known how to handle the money and how to invest and how to move it around in the right direction.”

“I don’t want to have to keep doing this because I have to. I wanna keep doing it because I love it and you know I still feel like I have a little bit more to give to the audience.”

A Mysterious Tradition

Another subject discussed was the idea of Dominic continuing the Mysterio tradition, donning a mask when he debuts.

Rey confessed that he doesn’t believe his son will. This would bring an end to the masked tradition within the Mysterio lineage. It is worth noting, however, that Rey recently trademarked the name, Principe Mysterio. Principe translates to Prince, which would be a fitting title for Rey’s son.

“I don’t think he wants to [wear a mask],” Rey said. “He has something special to do with the mask just to represent and to pretty much honor his father,” he added, “but I think since he was known already when doing this as a kid and we post pictures together it is kind of hard.”

Dominic technically made his WWE television debut back in 2005 when he became embroiled in an on-screen battle over who his biological father was, Rey Mysterio or Eddie Guerrero.

He has since been training with Lance Storm in Canada and apparently has plans to move to Houston, Texas to continue his education under Booker T at Booker’s Reality of Wrestling school.

Matt Hardy Teases Raw Return? Becky Lynch Returning To SmackDown This Week

0

Matt Hardy Teases Raw Return?

This week’s episode of Raw saw the appointment of yet another authority figure as Baron Corbin asked Alexa Bliss to be his assistant and oversee the Raw Women’s Division.

After the show, ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy made the following tweet teasing a return to the brand saying that only he can fix the broken Raw:

It’s worth mentioning here that reports suggested that Alexa Bliss could replace Corbin as the GM of the Red Branded Show after TLC and the latest events on Raw seem to be supporting these rumors.

Becky Lynch Returning To SmackDown This Week

We noted before how WWE confirmed that AJ Styles will be returning to SmackDown Live this week, for the first time since losing his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan.

Though now it has been revealed that he is not the only star who will return during the show as the company has announced that Becky Lynch will also make her return tonight.

Lynch has been away from the Blue Branded show since the go-home episode of Survivor Series PPV where it was revealed that the SmackDown Women’s Champion was not medically cleared for the PPV and Charlotte Flair was announced as her replacement.

Ronda Rousey Wrestles After Raw

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey didn’t wrestle during the broadcast of Raw and instead, she was involved in a segment with her TLC opponent Nia Jax during the show.

Though she wrestled after the show went off air and the Women’s Champion teamed up with Sasha Banks, Bayley, Natalya and Ember Moon for a 10 women tag team match.

This group went against the team of Tamina Snuka, Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan and the faces won the bout to try to send the crowd home happy.

Seth Rollins Comments On His Victory

We noted before how Seth Rollins announced that he will be holding an Intercontinental Championship open challenge during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

We saw Seth holding the challenge during the final hour of the show and it was answered by Dolph Ziggler. The match was won by Rollins and he retained the title via a Falcon Arrow.

After the show, the IC Champion was interviewed backstage where he talked about his victory during the episode and how he is the true best in the world. You can check out Seth Rollins’ interview in the video below:

Rey Mysterio Reveals The One Dream Match He Wants To Have Before Retirement

0

Rey Mysterio has accomplished a lot of things in the wrestling business but as a father of an aspiring wrestler, he still has one more dream match left, before he calls it a career.

During his recent appearance on Lillian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, Mysterio talked about a number of things including how he has accomplished a lot more than he ever thought he would.

Talking about his retirement, The Former World Champion said that he is definitely getting close to shutting down and hinted that he could retire within the next two years.

Though before that, Mysterio said that his final dream come true as a father and a wrestler would be to perform with his son in the ring so he can say ‘Ok. Now I’ve done it all. Now, this is it.’

For those who don’t know, Rey’s son Dominic has been training for a wrestling career for a while now and he originally started his training with Jay Lethal

He then moved to Lance Storm’s Wrestling Academy in Calgary and is currently looking to enter the next phase of his training by either joining Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling in Houston or going to Mexico for lucha lessons.

‘Being The Elite’ Episode 127: The Exorcism of Cody Rhodes

0

The Young Bucks dropped the latest episode of Being The Elite yesterday and it features some of the most ridiculous yet entertaining minutes in the history of the series.

The episode dubbed ‘The Exorcism of Cody Rhodes’ starts with a segment featuring all the Elite members in a locker room where there is a hammer lying in the middle of the room.

In the next segment, ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll continues his efforts to invite his friends to his New Year’s party but finally loses control when his offer is declined by Adam Page. After the refusal, Scurll decides that he will go to the party all by himself.

We then see another SCU segment and the following segment features Hangman Page trying to talk to the Bucks about the strange things that have been happening with all the members.

Though he is interrupted by Flip Gordon who mentions how Cody Rhodes has been acting strange lately and doubts that he has been possessed.

After listening to Gordon, The Young Bucks decide to call in an old friend and we see the return of an old gimmick on the 127th episode of Being The Elite.

Finally, we see an extremely ridiculous but fun segment which features ‘The Exorcism Of Cody Rhodes’. You can check out the full episode below:

6 Takeaways From WWE RAW (11/26)

5

The November 26th, 2018 episode of WWE RAW aired live from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI. Here are 6 takeaways from this week’s show:

Braun Strowman Addressed His Injury & Vowed To Get Revenge

Braun Strowman RAW 11 26

RAW GM Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Lio Rush kicked off RAW in the ring. They claimed that Braun Strowman deserved to get beaten down last week and showed footage of the brutal attack.

Strowman was then shown right before his surgery and vowed to return at 100%. Strowman told Lashley, Corbin, and McIntyre that all three of them were going to “get these hands” when he returns to RAW. It was later announced that Curt Hawkins will replace Braun Strowman as Ember Moon’s teammate in the Mixed Match Challenge.

Corbin noted that there was no way that Strowman will be medically cleared before their match at WWE TLC. Baron stated that the match was still on and that he will just win by forfeit and become the permanent GM of RAW. Corbin warned the Superstars in the locker room to start treating him with some respect or he will make their lives difficult on RAW.

The RAW Women’s Championship Match At TLC Has No Momentum

Ronda Rousey RAW 11 26

Ronda Rousey will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax at WWE TLC. On tonight’s episode of RAW, Nia Jax came down to the ring alongside Tamina to a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Jax boasted about leading Team RAW to victory at Survivor Series and breaking Becky Lynch’s face two weeks ago. She claimed that “The Man” was no match for “The Facebreaker” and vowed to take the RAW Women’s Championship from Rousey at TLC.

Nia showed highlights of her dominating Ronda Rousey this past June’s MITB PPV. She claimed that is where Ronda’s career went on a downfall and showed footage of Charlotte Flair brutally attacking Rousey at Survivor Series.

Jax mocked Rousey for believing that she is a true champion and went right back to bragging about her recent accomplishments. Nia grinned and said, “the top of the mountain belongs to me”.

Rousey interrupted and came down to the ring as the crowd chanted her name. Ronda complimented Nia on winning the Battle Royal at Evolution to earn a shot at the title. Rousey then vowed to rip Nia’s arm off at TLC and slap Charlotte Flair across the face with it.

Ronda challenged Nia Jax to a match tonight but Nia declined. Tamina and Nia circled Rousey but Natalya sprinted to the ring to make the save. The Riott Squad attacked Natalya from the crowd but Rousey fought them off to end the segment.

At Survivor Series, Ronda Rousey was booed out of the building after being on the receiving end of a vicious attack from Charlotte Flair. On tonight’s show, she was back to being a fan favorite. Jax got some legitimate heat from the crowd for punching Becky in the face and depriving them of the anticipated Lynch vs. Rousey match at Survivor Series.

However, that heat already seems to be fading and Jax is back to getting painfully silent reactions from the crowd. I would have preferred to see Nia Jax attack Rousey from behind tonight rather than this promo. The most notable thing from this segment was Rousey mentioning Charlotte Flair’s name and the RAW Women’s Championship match at TLC already feels like an afterthought.

The Tag Team Division Continues To Be Booked Terribly

AOP RAW 11 26

The Authors of Pain defended their RAW Tag Team Championships tonight against Bobby Roode & Chad Gable. Drake Maverick took Bobby Roode’s robe from the ringside area and draped it around his shoulder right when the match started.

Maverick then put Roode’s robe on and walked up the entrance ramp. Drake mocked Roode’s pose before jogging backstage. Maverick was then shown on the jumbotron with Roode’s robe in the bathroom. Drake put Roode’s robe in the toilet and urinated on it. AOP capitalized on the distraction and hit the Last Chapter on Roode for the pinfall victory.

In addition to The Revival getting squashed by Lucha House Party tonight, Akam and Rezar retained their titles because of Drake Maverick urinating on Roode’s robe. Long gone are the days of AOP being a dominant force with their manager Paul Ellering leading the way in NXT.

Instead of getting that version of the team, we see Akam and Rezar grunting behind Drake Maverick as he makes pee jokes before a title match. On last week’s SmackDown, The Bar was also made to look like a joke in a throwaway Thanksgiving Feast Fight match. WWE has talented teams on both RAW and SmackDown but they refuse to do anything with them on the main roster.

Seth Rollins Retained In Another Match Against Dolph Ziggler

Seth Rollins 11 26

Seth Rollins issued an open challenge for the Intercontinental Championship tonight on RAW. Rollins claimed that he was done chasing Dean Ambrose around in an effort to find answers. Earlier on RAW, Dean Ambrose said that he was not going to be on RAW tonight because he was getting a series of injections to protect him from the WWE Universe.

Dolph Ziggler accepted Rollins’ challenge and vowed to take his title back. The match went back and forth as the crowd chanted “this is awesome!”. Ziggler set up for the Superkick but Seth didn’t get up off the canvas. Dolph shouted that Rollins didn’t have it anymore and planted him with a DDT. Rollins battled back and connected with the Superplex into the Falcon Arrow for the pinfall victory to retain his Intercontinental Championship.

Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler are both tremendous in the ring, so it was no surprise that they put on an entertaining match. The issue is that we have seen this match far too much lately. It was billed as an IC Title match but in reality, it was just a way to kill 30 minutes and get the crowd to chant “this is awesome!”. The only thing that was new here was Rollins picking up a win with the Falcon Arrow.

Alexa Bliss Now Oversees The RAW Women’s Division

Alexa Bliss RAW 11 26

Baron Corbin informed Alexa Bliss that she was now in charge of the entire RAW women’s division during tonight’s show.

Bliss then held an open forum so that the WWE Universe could ask Sasha Banks and Bayley whatever questions they want. The first fan asked what they would do change the RAW women’s division going forward.

Bayley said that she is proud of the division and hopes that as Superstars they continue to get opportunities. Sasha Banks told Alexa that she would ship her back to SmackDown. Bliss tried to create a divide between Banks and Bayley but they weren’t having it. Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke, and Mickie James then attacked Banks and Bayley from behind. Bayley and Banks fought back and stood tall to end the segment.

Alexa Bliss is entertaining and a great heel, so it makes sense that she still is a part of RAW despite not being medically cleared to compete. However, this segment didn’t go well at all and was just awkward. I’m also confused as to when Dana Brooke turned heel again.

Baron Corbin Abused His Power To Beatdown Elias & Finn Balor

Baron Corbin McIntyre Lashley RAW 11 26

In the first hour of RAW, Elias was set to face Bobby Lashley in a singles match. Elias had the match won but Lio Rush pulled the official out of the ring. RAW GM Baron Corbin announced that the match was no disqualifications. Corbin, McIntyre, and Lashley then beatdown Elias and it resulted in an easy victory for Lashley.

Baron Corbin battled Finn Balor in the main event of this week’s episode of RAW. Baron grabbed the microphone during the match and announced that this match was now a 2 on 1 Handicap Match and that his partner is Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre quickly hit Balor with the Claymore Kick for the victory. Bobby Lashley joined the party and slammed Balor the canvas. Corbin followed it up with End of Days. McIntyre shouted that Balor was nothing but a boy in a man’s world and hit him with another Claymore Kick.

https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/1067266919563231233

Corbin versuse Balor is another match that we have seen far too much of RAW. I was expecting someone to come out and help Balor out but that was not the case. WWE is trying to make the trio of Corbin, McIntyre, and Lashley seem like an unstoppable force but the crowd really didn’t react when they posed at the end of the show. Time will tell if this leads to anything interesting going forward but tonight was just another forgettable episode of WWE RAW.

Randy Orton Travels With Rey Mysterio’s Mask

It appears that the feud between former WWE World Champions Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio will continue on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center on the USA Network.

Orton beat Mysterio on last week’s show which ended with Orton removing Rey’s mask. In a recent post on Instagram, Orton teased Mysterio with the mask by writing the following, “Packing for #smackdownlive hmm let’s see I miss anything.”

The Women’s Evolution right now in WWE– it’s on fire,” she said. “Women have never been involved as they are right now in the company, and we’re doing things every single day to show that women are at the forefront.”

Edge Discusses Second Season Of His WWE Network Series Being Different

0

WWE Hall of Famer Edge recently spoke with Gamespot to promote the second season of his WWE Network series, The Edge and Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness, that is set to premiere on Monday night. The former World Champion stated that this season will feature more than 100 special cameos and how it will be much different than the first season.

“This one is a lot different than Season 1,” he said. “To me, in a much better way. We added in some elements, we had some graphic artist and do some amazing things that we wouldn’t have been able to, some of our visions just wouldn’t have been possible without this guy coming in and putting his magic touch on it. When you see it, you’ll be able to tell because it’s just, you know, the farting unicorns going by Hillbilly Jim while he’s moon farming.”

The WWE Legend continued by stating that the very first episode will feature a farting unicorn and how one scene will have the screen filled with special guests in front of a green screen as they try to recreate a “classic moment” from wrestling history.

Edge was last seen on WWE television during a Cutting Edge segment with SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch on SmackDown 1000 in Washington, DC at the Capital One Arena. The former WWE World Champion has posted the following clips, which are quite entertaining, of the new season that you can see here:

– Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush are in the ring to kick off this week’s show. Corbin talks about the fans enjoying their Thanksgiving holiday, but he doesn’t eat that junk food, and that’s why he’s in the ring and the fans are watching. Lashley says he’s thankful for the beta males sitting on their couches while he accomplishes his goals. Drew talks about his Thanksgiving, and then Corbin throws us to a highlight reel of them beating up Braun Strowman last week. Corbin says that after their attack, you won’t be seeing Strowman on RAW for a long, long time. Corbin says he sent a camera crew to Birmingham, AL, where Braun is being prepped for surgery. We see a pre-recorded message from Braun, saying he’s there for surgery, but he surgeons say they’ve never seen an injury like that or worked on an arm as big as his. Braun says when he’s back, he’s going to rip apart Lashley, Corbin, and McIntyre. Braun says he hopes they have a happy holiday, and when he’s back all three of them are going to get these hands. Corbin says Strowman won’t be cleared to compete at TLC, but their singles match is still on. Corbin says when Strowman doesn’t show up, Corbin will win by default to become the permanent RAW GM. The lights then go out, and Elias appears on the stage with his guitar. Elias says Corbin, Lashley and McIntyre need to get one thing through their heads – WWE stands for Walk With Elias. He says having Lio Rush being there must be breaking some child labour laws, then he sings a song about “Bobby Trashley.” It looks like they’ll be facing off in a singles match next.

– Bobby Lashley vs. Elias: Lashley takes control of this one early on after throttling Elias into the corner and pummeling on him. Lashley drives his shoulder into Elias’ midsection, then takes him down to the mat with a side headlock. Elias connects with a kick and he dumps Lashley outside, then he hits a baseball slide dropkick on him through the ropes. Shortly after, a distraction from McIntyre at ringside leads to Lashley taking control again. Back in the ring, Elias starts turning things around and he hits a flying knee to the face of Lashley. Elias follows up with a flying elbow drop and covers, but Lio Rush pulls the ref out of the ring to break the pin. The ref calls for the bell for the DQ, but Corbin gets on the mic and says no – he forgot to announce – this is a No DQ match, and this one is still in action. Lashley takes advantage of the distraction to pummel on Elias in the corner. Elias fights back and grab s his guitar, but Corbin attacks Elias from behind and drops him. Lashley stomps on Elias’ guitar to break it, and then Corbin bashes a steel chair over Elias’ back. Lashley takes Elias out to ringside and slams him into the fan barricade a few times, then Corbin and Drew double team him. They continue the beat down on Elias, and Drew hits a reverse Alabama Slam on to the ring steps. They throw Elias back in the ring, and Lashley covers with one foot for the three count.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

– After the match, Lio Rush gets on the mic and announces Lashley as the winner. It sounds like Lashley’s new nickname is “The Almighty.”

All three members of Lucha Underground are in this one, and they triple team Wilder early on. Dawson comes in and turns it around on Kalisto. Wilder tags back in and applies a surfboard stretch on Kalisto. Dawson tags in, but Kalisto escapes the double team, and Dorado and Metalik come in to even the odds. Ronda gets in Nia’s face and says she was born ready, and then she makes a joke about Nia and “muta” Tamina having a date tonight. Ronda says if Nia wants, she can have a shot at her right here and now. It looks like Nia and Tamina are about to jump Ronda, and then Natalya comes out for the save. The Riott Squad comes out of nowhere and they ambush Natalya on the ramp. They beat Natalya down, and then the Riott Squad retreats up the ramp. [/live]

Gable tags in and connects with a missile dropkick off the top. Gable applies an armbar over the rope until the ref breaks it up. Roode tags back in, but Rezar counters into a suplex on the both of them. Drake Maverick puts Roode’s robe on and heads up the ramp, which distracts Roode again. Akam beats on Gable until Roode gets the tag and cleans house, until Akam catches Roode with a fallaway slam. Akam misses a big boot in the corner, and Roode goes to work on him. Drake appears on the big screen with Roode robe on, then he puts the robe over a toilet and stomps it in. Drake then appears to urinate on Bobby Roode’s robe, and Roode is shown in the ring looking distraught. Cody Defends IWGP US Title Against Joey Ryan In Thumb War (Video)

5

Cody Rhodes and Joey Styles didn’t let their respective injuries affect their ability to entertain the World Series Wrestling crowd in Sydney, Australia over the weekend. Cody is currently dealing with a torn meniscus in his knee. He’s rehabbing it at the moment, but will still compete against Jay Lethal for the Ring Of Honor World Title on December 14th. He will also still compete at Wrestle Kingdom 13 this January, before getting surgery later that month.

As for Ryan, he’s dealing with a torn left pectoral muscle that will require surgery. Despite not being able to compete inside the ring for World Series Wrestling, both Ryan and Cody held meet and greets. They also worked together in several segments over the weekend. On Friday, Cody defended his IWGP United States Title against Ryan in a staring contest. However, Brandi Rhodes distracted Ryan and cost him the match.

Then, on Saturday, Cody successfully defended the IWGP US Title against Ryan in a rock, paper, scissors match. Finally, yesterday, Cody again defended the US Title against Ryan in a thumb war. Ryan tried everything he could to best “The American Nightmare,” including shoving a lollipop in Rhodes’ mouth. In the end, Rhodes was victorious and retained the strap. Check out the video here:

WWE Signs WALTER

7

WWE has signed top European talent WALTER. According to a report from PW Insider, WWE have signed the heavyweight just hours after news broke regarding new restrictions on NXT UK talents.

It was reported back in September that the two sides were in negotiations but WALTER stated he wasn’t interested in WWE at the time.

“I don’t know if I mentioned this but being a part of the Raw or SmackDown roster is nothing I am interested in. I don’t want to live in the US,” WALTER said.

He did say, however, he enjoys NXT.

“I really like NXT though, I think it’s a great product, filled with the best talent in the world and is focused on competition in the ring, which is something I enjoy.”

“I don’t want to say it will never happen because in wrestling things change so quickly,” he later added.

There were also reports back in March that WWE had offered WALTER a contract. He denied these on Twitter, however.

WWE Signs WALTER

31-year-old WALTER began his pro career in 2007 for WXW in Germany. WALTER later began competing for PROGRESS in 2015 as well. He is a former PWG Champion, 3x WXW Heavyweight Champion, and the current Defiant Internet Champion.

WALTER would certainly make a big impact Wednesday’s on NXT UK.

Becky Lynch Takes Aim At Lesnar, Rousey & Daniel Bryan

3

At WWE Starrcade over the weekend, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins emerged victorious in his Cage match against Dean Ambrose. After the match, “The Architect” took to Twitter to celebrate, by dubbing himself “The Man, The Champ” of WWE. Of course, Rollins did this knowing it’d upset SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. The pair have bickered back and forth before about who is really “The Man” of WWE.

In his Tweet, Rollins took a jab at Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and Daniel Bryan for not being a part of the show. He then declared himself “The Man, The Champ” of WWE:

“Away game? Hostile environment? No Brock? No Bryan? No Ronda? No Becky? ….no problem. THE Man, THE Champ. The hardest working MFer in this business just wrecked Cincinnati.”

Lynch, who has been on top of her Twitter game as of late, of course, had to respond. She also took a shot at Lesnar, Rousey, and Bryan for not being on the show. “The Irish Lass Kicker” reminded everyone she wasn’t competing due to her broken nose and concussion, before asking what everyone else’s excuse was:

“I have a concussion and a broken face, what’s everyone else’s excuse?”

Shawn Michaels Reveals He Helps Write NXT TV

2

WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels recently came out of retirement to return to the squared circle. Michaels teamed up with Triple H to reform D-Generation X at WWE Crown Jewel to defeat The Brothers of Destruction, Kane and The Undertaker. However, after the match, it seems as though Michaels’ return to the ring was only a one-time thing.

He will likely revert back to helping young WWE talent at the WWE Performance Center and help produce matches for NXT. As it turns out, Michaels actually helps do a bit more behind the scenes in NXT. Speaking on the “E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness” podcast recently, Michaels revealed that he actually helps write NXT television as well. Here’s what “HBK” had to say about his duties with the brand:

“To [Triple H] and I, clearly, [NXT] is his baby, but I mean, I’m all in. Yeah, they’ve got me hook, line, and sinker. And it’s funny because he kind of hired me like, ‘just stick your big toe in and see how you like it. Just do a couple of times a week.’

“And then, of course, whatever it is, two years later, I’m full scale helping to write TVs and doing it all!” Michaels said. “I’m so far in, there’s no way I’m getting out and I have no desire to get out because it’s a blast. It really is.”

What do you think about Michaels helping write NXT TV?

Seth Rollins To Issue Open Challenge Tonight, Several Superstars Respond

5

WWE Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins, plans to issue an “Open Challenge” for his title tonight. “Monday Night” Rollins already has plenty of potential opponents lining up for a chance to face him as well.

“Time to refocus heading towards Ambrose and . I learn the most by testing myself…so the Open Challenge returns tomorrow night on . It’s go time.”

Seth Rollins Open Challenge Possible Challengers

Not long after the Intercontinental champion issued the challenge, challengers began making themselves heard.

Ricochet let Rollins know he’s open to challenging him. He’d even put his NXT North American Championship on the line as well.

https://twitter.com/kingricochet/status/1067104751337246720?s=21

Former Cruiserweight Champion, Cedric Alexander, also let Rollins know he’s game for a match.

Lio Rush also wants to face Rollins but he also took issue with Cedric Alexander calling out the champ. The two 205 Liver roster members then went back and forth on Twitter.

“The amount of hot raw garbage that comes out of your face is amazing….. It would almost be impressive if it wasn’t so sad”

Mustafa Ali also believes he would make a good match tonight for Rollins:

A former member of Titus Worldwide, Apollo Crews, also mentioned that he is free tonight in case Rollins is still looking for a title challenger.

Charlotte Flair Takes Shots At 4-Horsewomen Of MMA On Twitter

2

Judging on what is happening on social media right now, we could still get a 4-Horsewomen vs 4-Horsewomen feud sometime soon. A match between the two factions was rumored for much of the year to occur at Survivor Series but never came to pass.

Charlotte Flair posted the following earlier today, insinuating she’d like to do to Baszler, Duke, and Shafir the same thing she did to Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.

Shayna Baszler, Charlotte Flair, and the 6 Other Horsewomen

Flair also responded to a photo Baszler had posted of her faction along with Ric Flair.

Shayna Baszler got involved in the ongoing social media battle yesterday as well. Baszler responded to a Tweet in which she was mentioned by Becky Lynch.

“Don’t try to name drop me in this attention grab, I’m too busy holding down the division you couldn’t.

Baszler has also been quick to point out her 4-Horsewomen are more like the original group than the NXT version:

“The OG 4 horseman weren’t just simply 4 wrestlers that made history, they were friends, a real TEAM. Like us, the only ACTUAL team here. Those others, sure they made history, but they’ve never been a team. They are barely friends half the time.

This is not the first time Baszler has made such claims. She further described her opinions on the two factions earlier this year in an interview with Uproxx.

They’re not in a stable,” Bazler said to Uproxx. “We’re not just four random guys. This is my whole argument about the thing. People are like, ‘Yeah but Charlotte is Ric Flair’s daughter.’ But they weren’t just four guys that made history which the fake Four Horsewomen did. They’re four girls that made history. That’s great, but that’s not what the Four Horsemen did. They were a team. They were a stable. And we’re a team. You don’t see us needing counseling to stay friends and bickering and feuding over … You know what I mean?”

Returning Superstar Backstage For Tonight’s WWE RAW

4

Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt is currently backstage at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI, the site of tonight’s WWE Raw. The news comes courtesy of PWInsider. Wyatt made a surprise return at Saturday night’s Starrcade event (Video).

Wyatt had been paired with Matt Hardy but that tag team was forced to be split up after Hardy had to take some time off due to nagging injuries and learn the ways of being a producer for the company. He has been off television since the August 13th edition of Monday Night RAW, when he and Hardy lost to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

WWE is loading up tonight’s RAW episode as several matches have been announced. Seth Rollins will be issuing an open challenge for his Intercontinental Title, Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin, Elias walks into a showdown with Bobby Lashley, and Bobby Roode & Chad Gable get their RAW Tag Team Title opportunity vs. AOP.

The company will also be continuing to add matches and hype current programs for their next pay-per-view event, TLC, that takes place next month.

Big Show Discusses His WWE Future, Working With Shaq

0

The Big Show recently spoke with TMZ about various topics including his future with the WWE. Show made his return to in-ring action last month when losing to Randy Orton in a world cup qualifying match on an episode of SmackDown Live in Indianapolis, IN. This match marked the first time that they have gone one-on-one in a match in three years. It also marked the first match that Show worked in over a year.

Show brought up how he tweaked a hamstring last week and was a little sore but other than that, he’s having fun. “I signed a new deal last year. I got a couple of years left. I’m having fun. We’ll re-evaluate in a couple of years, absolutely.”

If you recall, back in 2016, Shaq and The Big Show teased a match at WrestleMania 33 in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium. However, the match never became a reality and Big Show ended up competing in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal when the match fell through.

The former WWE Champion brought up working with Shaq by stating that he wouldn’t be surprised if you did see Shaq and him square-off at some point. “Whether it’s a Krispy Kream doughnut eat-off, free throw contest. Somewhere him and I are going to have to draw a line in the sand and figure out what’s what.”

WWE Puts NXT UK Superstars on ‘Exclusive’ Contracts

1

WWE appears to have made a huge power-play on the U.K scene. Several promotions in Europe have been hit with the news that NXT UK contracted Superstars will now be ‘exclusive’ to the NXT offshoot. Previously NXT UK Superstars were prohibited from performing on shows within 7 days of an official NXT UK date. This now appears to have been taken further…

It has long been rumored that WWE would be looking to establish the UK as their home for  a second performance center. With PROGRESS, ICW and Fight Club Pro all having strong links to WWE it is reported that they will not be hit with these sanctions. The Wrestling Observer claimed earlier this year that PROGRESS co-owner Jim Smallman would be running the NXT UK brand going forward, giving him a measure of control over how ‘his’ PROGRESS stars could be used. ICW is arguably the biggest promotion in the UK, their upcoming Fear & Loathing XI show is set to top 6,000 fans in the Hydro. Fight Club Pro is also another intriguing part of the equation, the promotion is owned by British Strong Style member Trent Seven.

Several UK promotions have already had to make changes to their upcoming shows. Companies such as Wrestle Gate Pro, Wrestling League and Pro Wrestling: EVE are some of the bigger ‘underground’ companies that could be hit hardest, however all three are open to establishing new stars. Many of the top UK performers are not contracted to WWE, including Jimmy Havoc, Mark Haskins and Chris Brookes, so it may not make as big a mark as initially exoected.

WWE Announces AJ Styles’ Return To SmackDown Live, Total Bellas Season Four Premiere Date

1

WWE Announces AJ Styles’ Return To SmackDown Live

WWE has confirmed when former WWE Champion AJ Styles will make his return to the blue brand. He’s set to be featured in a segment on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center on the USA Network where he’ll address current WWE Champion Daniel Bryan’s actions.

Styles has not been seen in two weeks on television after losing the title to Bryan, who turned heel by hitting a low blow to win the title. WWE has already announced that Styles will challenge Bryan for the WWE Title at the TLC pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 in San Jose, California at the SAP Center.

Total Bellas Season Four Premiere Date

PWInsider.com is reporting that the fourth season of Total Bellas will debut on Sunday 1/20/19. Back in August, it was revealed that Total Bellas had been renewed for a fourth season by the E! Network. It should be noted that Nikki and Brie Bella also serve as Executive Producers of E!’s Total Bellas.

Earlier this month, a new teaser trailer for the return of WWE’s Total Bellas had been released that features Nikki Bella going on a date with Peter Kraus from The Bachelorette. You can see that here.

Cody Rhodes Recovering After Controversial Exorcism

1

Cody is said to be recovering comfortably after enduring a controversial exorcism at the hands of the “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels.

On the latest episode of “Being the Elite”, the group concluded that Cody had become possessed, leading him to recite facts about WWE repeatedly. The Elite then decided to call in Daniels’ former “Fallen Angel” gimmick to give Cody an exorcism.

Matt Jackson provided the following description of the Fallen Angel to others on the show: “He’s the guy who has dealt with far worse evil spirits and demons of this Earth… named Vince Russo and Dixie Carter,” Matt Jackson said. “He’s the only guy who can perform this exorcism to save our friend, Cody.”

Daniels was quick to point out that Cody’s symptoms were some of the worst he’d ever seen. As Cody began to convulse, Daniels explained what was happening to the rest of the faction.

“(Cody’s got) the money-shakes,” Daniels said. “I haven’t seen them this bad since AJ debuted at the Royal Rumble.”

It was also revealed that the old WWF logo had been burned into Cody’s stomach.

Christopher Daniels Performs Exorcism On Cody

“The Power of Crockett compels you!” Daniels shouted as Cody responded with more random WWE facts. Scorpio Sky forcefully made Cody swallow a handful of “Blue Chew”. Unfortunately, Brandi would later confirm the medication was not effective.

Finally, after Daniels read to Cody from the Young Bucks’ recently published children’s book, he declared “this house is clean.”

Cody still has a torn meniscus which will require surgery in early 2019. Daniels didn’t do anything about that.

Although this is just speculation, one could possibly assume Cody’s possession on the show is an analogy relating to WWE’s attempts to sign him and/or other members of the group. There is a sledgehammer/Excalibur analogy going on as well. The mysterious allusions to candy bars which Matt Jackson has been making in recent weeks did not make an appearance in this episode, however.

You can watch the full episode and exorcism in the player below:
