Big Match Set For WWE TLC

A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE TLC PPV.

WWE confirmed on this week’s episode of RAW that Braun Strowman would battle Baron Corbin at this show. There are some stipulations that go along with this contest. If Corbin wins, he’ll be the permanent GM of Raw, but if he loses, he’ll lose all authority. If Strowman wins, he’ll face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble. This will also be a TLC Match.

If you recall, a few weeks ago, local ads featured Strowman versus Drew McIntyre taking place at this year’s TLC event. However, that has changed and it all started at WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Fahd International Stadium on the WWE Network once Corbin attacked Strowman before he faced off with  Lesnar for the Universal Title. Since then, WWE continued this storyline on their flagship show, RAW.

[live id=”ta52jb” data-sort-time=”1542673523064″]The November 19th edition of WWE RAW took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, and was the first episode after Survivor Series 2018.

– Baron Corbin is in the ring to kick off tonight’s show. He talks about RAW beating SmackDown at Survivor Series, and then he introduces his boss, Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie comes out and gets in the ring, and she’s got a mic. Stephanie talks about the “RAW family” decimating SmackDown last night. Corbin brings up that Stephanie said she’d consider making him the permanent RAW GM after Survivor Series. Braun Strowman comes out to interrupt. Strowman wants his shot at Corbin, and Stephanie books a match between the two for TLC. Stephanie says if Corbin wins he will become permanent RAW GM, but if he loses then he also loses all authority on RAW. If Strowman wins, he’ll get a shot at the Universal Title. Strowman picks the stipulation for this match with Corbin, and he decides that their match at TLC will be Tables, Ladders, Chairs match. Stephanie ends up booking a six-man tag match for tonight: Braun, Finn Balor and Elias vs. Corbin, Lashley and Drew McIntyre — and that match starts right now.

– Finn Balor, Braun Strowman & Elias vs. Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, & Drew McIntyre: Elias does a song on the stage before the match. This one is an elimination match. Corbin and McIntyre start this one off with a collar and elbow tie up. Strowman overpowers McIntyre and drops him, then Finn tags in and Braun slams him on to McIntyre. Finn and Drew brawl out to ringside and Drew slams Finn on the fan barricade. Back in the ring, Lashley tags in and hits some suplexes on Balor. Corbin tags in now and hits the Deep Six on Finn for a two count. Finn starts to fire up and hits a suicide dive on Lashley and Corbin at ringside. Back in the ring, McIntyre tags in and drops Balor for the three count. Balor is now eliminated. Elias comes in and goes at it with Drew now. Elias starts to fight back with right hands, but Elias puts him back down with a shot in the corner. Corbin keeps Elias grounded in the mat, while Braun brawls with Drew and Bobby at ringside. Elias fights off Corbin, then he gets into it with Lio Rush on the apron, which leads to Lashley spearing Elias. Braun and Drew come in and Drew gets the upper hand this time. Lashley comes in now and continues the offense on Braun. Corbin tags back in and applies a chin lock to Braun. Braun finally throws Corbin off of him and then tackles him down. Braun knocks Lashley and Drew off the apron, and then he hits a splash on Corbin in the corner. Braun runs around the ring and tackles Lashley and McIntyre, then he gets back in the ring and hits the powerslam on Corbin for the three count. Corbin is eliminated now. Drew and Lashley get in the ring now and lay into Braun with a steel chair. The ref calls for the bell.

Rollins talks about fighting Ambrose at TLC, but says he doesn’t want to wait until TLC, because he’s feeling aggressive right now. Ambrose appears on the big screen and says he’s not going to give Rollins what he wants. Ambrose says the people didn’t know what The Shield was like when the cameras were off, and now they’re all going to get what they deserve. Ambrose says that because of what Roman Reigns did in the Shield, he has to answer to the man upstairs. And because of what Rollins did, he has to answer to Ambrose. Ambrose tells Rollins to come get him, and Rollins exits the ring and runs up the ramp. Rollins runs to the back and looks for Ambrose, but can’t find him. Ronda says she’s never backed down from a fight before, and she wants a fight right now. Baron Corbin comes out and tries to calm down Ronda, but Ronda demands that he goes back and finds her a challenge right now. UFC & WWE Hall Of Famers Backstage For Survivor Series (Photos)

3

Last night WWE held its Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) event from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The card featured several big match-ups between Monday Night RAW and Smackdown Live’s champions.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar faced WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, Charlotte Flair of SDL faced RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, and the traditional RAW vs. SDL Elimination Tag Team matches also took place. RAW emerged victorious on the night with a 6-0 clean sweep over SDL. It wasn’t only a big night in the ring, however, as some notable stars were backstage for the show as well.

UFC Hall Of Famer Tito Ortiz and his family were backstage at Survivor Series. Also, WWE Hall Of Famers Mark Henry, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Rikishi, and Ric Flair were at the show. And former WWE stars Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, Darren Young, Candice Michelle, and former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia were all backstage.

AJ Styles Negotiating New Deal With WWE, Looking For Reduced Schedule

5

AJ Styles is believed to be negotiating a new deal with WWE. According to a report from Fightful, Styles is looking for a reduced schedule on a new 3-year deal.

Styles is said to have pushed for his losing of the WWE title recently as a result of the amount of time being champion was causing him to be on the road. The deal he is looking for is said to be similar to Randy Orton’s, where he would work television but a limited amount of house shows.

There have been rumors as of late that NJPW has sent feelers to WWE talent about possibly jumping ship. Styles could potentially be someone NJPW is interested in bringing back. Speculation is NJPW reached out to Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Shinsuke Nakamura, who all also signed 3-year deals with NJPW in 2016 at the same time as Styles did.

AJ Styles WWE Negotiations

Styles first signed with WWE in 2016, following a negotiation session with NJPW, WWE, and the former management of TNA Wrestling. Before he left NJPW, he was kicked out of Bullet Club and lost at Wrestle Kingdom to Shinsuke Nakamura.

He debuted in WWE at the Royal Rumble in 2016. Styles would win his first WWE Championship that September. He defeated Dean Ambrose for the belt at Backlash that year. Style’s first run as WWE Champion lasted until the Royall Rumble when he lost the belt to John Cena. It would take him over 10 months to win the title back, defeating Jinder Mahal in Manchester in November of 2017.

Ronda Rousey Releases Statement, Scheduled to Appear on Monday Night Raw

4

Ronda Rousey left Survivor Series on Sunday night covered in blood and bruises but that won’t stop her from making an appearance on Monday Night Raw this week.

The reigning Raw women’s champion engaged in a brutal match against Charlotte Flair at Survivor series that ended in a disqualification.

During the match, Flair hit Rousey with a kendo stick and then continued the assault inside the ring. When the match was finally over, Rousey made her way backstage but the injuries she suffered during the showdown with Flair looked all too real.

Early in the match, Rousey was seen bleeding from the mouth and once it was over, she was covered in scratches, bumps and bruises.

Rousey then released a photo on her website showing some of the injuries she suffered while promising that she would be appearing on Monday Night Raw to address what happened.Ronda Rousey Injuries

“I refused to let the doctor see me until they promised to clear me for RAW today, I said I would go home and glue it shut if I had to,” Rousey said. “They took a quick look and said I can either stitch it shut or glue it so I decided to glue it and I will be on RAW tonight!”

Rousey was originally scheduled to meet Becky Lynch in a crossover match between Raw and Smackdown Live but that was scrapped just days ahead of Survivor Series.

Lynch also suffered some very real injuries including a broken nose and a concussion after she caught a punch from Nia Jax during an angle on Monday Night Raw last week.

The highly anticipated showdown between Rousey and Lynch was postponed with Flair stepping into replace the Smackdown women’s champion.

It definitely seems like WWE is building towards an epic rematch between Rousey and Flair somewhere down the road. Rumors have been swirling for days that Rousey may not end up encountering Lynch until WrestleMania for what could be a potential headlining match.

Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch Feud Likely To Continue

2

On last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, it looked as though WWE laid the feud between SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to bed. Instead, the feud will likely continue after recent social media action from both women. Lynch was initially scheduled to face Ronda Rousey at last night’s Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV).

However, Lynch suffered a broken nose on Monday Night Raw during a brawl segment and was not fit to compete. On SDL, the decision was made to replace Lynch with Flair. In a segment, Lynch hand-selected Flair to serve as her replacement against Rousey, before hugging. After that, many believed the feud between the former best friends was over.

At Survivor Series, Flair lost her match to Rousey after getting herself disqualified. Flair attacked Rousey with a kendo stick, before crushing her neck with a steel chair. “The Queen” then took to Twitter and made some adjustments to her Twitter bio. It looks like Flair is now dubbing herself as “The Baddest Bitch on the Planet.”:

Lynch responded by making a change to her Twitter bio, seemingly taking a shot at Flair for her own bio change:

Do you think Lynch and Flair’s feud should continue?

Shayna Baszler Comments On “Fickle” WWE Fans Booing Ronda Rousey At Survivor Series

5

WWE NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler kept a close eye on WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey battling former SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in the co-headliner of this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network.

The finish of the match saw Flair being DQ after using a kendo stick on Ronda then turned heel after the match by attacking her. During the match, the crowd was interested in and voiced several chants throughout it. However, following the attack, fans were chanting “Thank You Charlotte” and booing Rousey while she walked up the ramp to make her way to the backstage area.

Ronda’s fellow Four Horsewoman, Baszler, took to Twitter to react to the crowd booing the RAW Women’s Champion.

She wrote, “Fans are fickle. Always have been, always will be.” “If there’s one thing we all learned from MMA: fans are fickle. Eff them. #4HW.” “Sure, WWE fans are fickle. But trust me when I say this, UFC fans are worse. We came into this used to fickle. #LoyaltyIsEverything.”

Baszler beat Kairi Sane in a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames II event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center. It’s likely that this feud is over and that this is the blowoff to this feud.

Enzo Amore Comments On Being Ejected From Survivor Series

Enzo Amore was forcibly removed by security at the Staples Center last night. The former Cruiserweight Champion crashed Survivor Series and caused a distraction during the AOP vs the Bar match before being removed. The Staples Center has since announced he is banned from all future events.

Enzo sent out the following after his ejection from the arena:

Earlier this year, Enzo told TMZ he’ll never wrestle again. “There ain’t nobody who’s got enough money to put me back in the ring, kid,” Amore said. “Not unless it’s ‘Creed 3’ dog and I’m fighting [Adonis Creed].”

He also told TMZ he is working on “a ton of television content right now” and is “sitting on a lot of interesting things right now.”

Kota Ibushi vs Hirooki Goto Announced for World Tag League

0

Kota Ibushi WILL be challenging for the NEVER Openweight Championship.

New Japan’s World Tag League tour is now underway. Two shows in Korakuen Hall and Kanagawa have already taken place and you can check out the results here.

Kota Ibushi took part in yesterday’s Korakuen Hall event in a featured six man bout. Ibushi’s team were successful when Yujiro Takahashi hit the Pimp Juice on Chuckie T. During the bout NEVER Openweight Champion Hirooki Goto appeared to once again challenge Ibushi.

The match is now confirmed. Kota Ibushi will be taking on Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship on December 9th as part of World Tag League. Ibushi finally took the bout after claiming in a backstage interview that he was angling for the bout. Goto also spoke to NJPW in a backstage interview and stated that “I guess when you can’t go right, you gotta go left. I didn’t expect that it would work that easily.” Ibushi also made the following comments; “Was it a trap? Did I fall for Goto’s trap?…actually, I wanted to face him.”

Will Ospreay was originally scheduled to face Taichi for the Openweight belt. Ospreay’s recent rib injury forced him to pull out of the match and Goto took the spot and won the Championship. If New Japan are looking to promote a blockbuster Ospreay vs Ibushi bout then the NEVER title could actually change hands BEFORE January, it all depends on if Ospreay is going to be ready in time for Wrestle Kingdom.

Will Ospreay Roasts Enzo Amore on Twitter

4

Enzo Amore caused quite a scene at Survivor Series this past Sunday. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion appeared in the crowd and was quickly ejected by security.

Enzo was spotted ringside during the event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. He was attempting to disguise himself but WWE fans on Facebook and Twitter quickly realised it was Real1. During the Authors of Pain versus The Bar tag team match, the former NXT and WWE Superstar removed his hoodie, stood on his chair and started to make a scene.

Several stars on the independent scene have given their take but Will Ospreay may have summed it up perfectly. The British born NJPW star mused on Twitter; “Imagine you use to work at Tesco. Then you got fired from Tesco. Then you show up embarrassing yourself at Tesco. Then being kicked out of Tesco by its security team. I genuinely can’t think of anything more tragic. Maybe if you did it in front of 13,000 people on live TV.”

For context Tesco is a supermarket in the UK, along the lines of Walmart.

Braun Strowman had an impressive performance at the latest pay-per-view event presented by the WWE.

Team RAW (Finn Balor, Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler) beat Team SmackDown (Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio, The Miz & Shane McMahon) in a Men’s Elimination Tag Team Match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network.

Strowman tied the record for most eliminations in a traditional Survivor Series match at this year’s Survivor Series event by picking up four eliminations in the contest. He pinned Jeff Hardy, Shane McMahon, The Miz and Rey Mysterio. As a result, he ties former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns (2013) and Aja Kong (1993) for the record.

For those who may not know, this isn’t the only record he has while under the WWE banner. He also scored thirteen eliminations in the Greatest Royal Royal Rumble match and five in the seven-man Elimination Chamber match that took place back in February.

It’s expected that Strowman’s next feud and match will come against Acting Monday Night RAW General Manager Baron Corbin at the TLC pay-per-view event on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 in San Jose, California at the SAP Center. After that, it’s the road to WrestleMania. WWE has yet to announce this contest but is expected to do so shortly.

Becky Lynch Roasts Chris Jericho On Twitter

7

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has shown once again you don’t want to tangle with her on social media.

At Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair had a stellar match that solidified once again that women are more than capable of headlining WrestleMania. Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho has taken notice of the Women’s Revolution. He congratulated the company for making women’s wrestling the hottest thing around, but Becky Lynch replied that she is the one that deserves that credit.

https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1064529989440339969

Jericho gave Lynch credit for contributing to the success of WWE’s women’s divisions, but in a backhanded way. He mentioned that Nia Jax also deserves some credit for breaking Lynch’s face. The Irish Superstar did not take kindly to that remark and took a dig at Jericho’s metal band, Fozzy.

https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1064570639342886912

As we noted last week, Jericho’s band Fozzy will be opening for Iron Maiden next summer in Los Angeles.

The replies to Becky Lynch’s burn indicate Jericho should probably just move on and reconsider taking another dig at the Irish Superstar.

John Cena Returns To China With New Tattoo (Photos)

13

16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has returned to Beijing, China to continue filming his upcoming movie, “Project X.” Cena posts on  China’s “Weibo” social media platform regularly. He usually posts small clips documenting his day. However, in recent videos, it was noticed that Cena had an apparent tattoo on his right forearm.

Throughout several clips, the entirety of the tattoo can’t be fully made out, however, the word “Ghost” can clearly be seen spelled out. Check out the clips here:

https://twitter.com/JohnCenaCrews/status/1060742899011325953

https://www.instagram.com/p/BqBqzjHAF7a/?utm_source=ig_embed

It’s possible Cena’s tattoo is simply a fake for the film. Cena has had to make a lot of changes to his appearance for the project. He has lost a significant amount of weight and grew out his hair a bit. Cena has been on a hiatus from WWE for the past several months as a result.

During his time away, he has continued to film “Project X,” as well as having released a children’s book, “Elbow Grease.” Cena also has several film projects lined up after he finishes up his “Project X” obligations. Cena plans on wrestling at WrestleMania this April, however, he likely won’t return until it’s time to build up the match.

What do you think of Cena’s new ink?

Cole took to Twitter to comment on losing the match by writing the following:

“Yes we are sore. Yes we didn’t win #WarGames. Yes we are still the best thing that has ever graced @WWENXT. #UndisputedERA forever.”

Jim Ross Suffering From Concussion And Two Black Eyes After Fall

4

Jim Ross is sporting two black eyes at the moment. Ross suffered a fall recently, missing a step and hitting his face on the concrete while at a friend’s house. The WWE Hall of Famer posted the following on Saturday before also adding he would still be at the OU football game that day:

The swelling on Ross’ face then further developed or he suffered another fall as he is now sporting a black eye on the right side of his face too.

Ross would later state on Saturday that his OU team won a “bowling shoe ugly” football game, perhaps fitting for the day he was having:

JR also said he currently has a concussion but will still be at WrestleCade next Saturday:

Yesterday, Ross uploaded another pic which shows the swelling on his face has gotten worse. He also said his headaches are getting better, however.

Jim Ross WWE/NJPW/AXS TV Contract Status

Ross’ contractual status has made headlines recently. He said he’ll be finishing up with AXS TV calling NJPW at the end of the year. He is currently under contract with WWE until the spring and has said he is currently unable to legally negotiate a new deal with AXS TV.

JR addressed his contract status on his podcast last week.

“It’s a tough week for me with AXS TV,” Ross said. “I’m here (in Los Angeles), going to do my last three shows for them (yesterday). That will take us through the end of the year on our Friday night slot on Mark Cuban’s network.”

Xavier Woods: “Respect The Tag Team Divisions”

3

Team Smackdown defeated Team Raw in the tag-team Survivor Series match last night. The match took place on the pre-show, however, and so didn’t count towards the storyline of Raw sweeping Smackdown on the main PPV.

New Day’s Xavier Woods was not happy with the tag-team match not being included in the storyline Raw vs Smackdown score last night. He sent out the following on Twitter after the show ended:

The Usos, who were the sole survivors in the match, re-tweeted Woods’ comments.

WWE Tag Team Divisions

Only Heath Slater and Rhyno didn’t participate in the Survivor Series tag-team match last night. The Revival and the Usos were the two final teams remaining. The Usos are likely in line for a tag team title match after last night. They also defeated former champions the New Day to earn the team captaincy for Smackdown. Smackdown tag-team champions, the Bar, lost to the Raw Champions Authors of Pain on the main PPV.

Shane McMahon commented on Raw’s “clean sweep” over Smackdown last night. He is saying there will be changes to his brand as a result.

“Tomorrow is a new day, but something is going to have to change come Tuesday.”

Sounds as though Shane McMahon will have some comments Tuesday night.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura battled it out at Survivor Series with Rollins coming out on top in their match at the pay-per-view event. Following their match, they went to Twitter to give their reactions, which you can see here:

Nakamura: “I have let you down, your Majesty. @WWERollins is a worthy competitor, I will be prepared for another battle. #SurvivorSeries.”

Chicago Will Host Survivor Series In 2019

2

Next year’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view will take place from Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. WWE will hold shows on four consecutive nights, including:

  • SmackDown Live (Friday, Nov. 22)
  • NXT Takeover (Saturday, Nov. 23)
  • Survivor Series: (Sunday, Nov. 24)
  • Monday Night Raw: (Monday, Nov. 25)

The news was first reported by the Chicago Tribune. John Saboor, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Special Events, was quoted in the announcement.

“WWE is so proud of our relationship with our fans in Chicago,” said Saboor. “Allstate Arena, going back to when it was known as Rosemont Horizon, has been such an important partner of WWE, dating back to the ’80s. I think the entire WWE family and universe is looking forward with great anticipation to the move from Tuesdays to Friday nights. What an exciting springboard.”

Saboor continued, “Chicago consistently has an electric atmosphere and audience. It’s really something. Our superstars, with great frequency, mention that Allstate is one of their very favorite venues in the country to compete.”

Next year will be the 33rd installment of WWE’s signature fall event. It will be the first time Chicago has hosted Survivor Series.

Shane McMahon Reacts To Raw’s Clean Sweep At Survivor Series, The Miz On Their Loss

Shane McMahon Reacts To Raw’s Clean Sweep At Survivor Series

It’s been rumored recently that WWE is planning to turn the SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon heel and it appears that Survivor Series could be the start of this storyline.

The PPV saw Raw winning matches in dominant fashion and since the company isn’t counting the pre-show tag team elimination bout, the Red Brand got a clean sweep.

After the show got over, Shane reacted to his brand’s loss via the following tweet, saying that something is going to have to change come Tuesday:

The Miz On Their Loss

SmackDown’s men’s Survivor Series team was originally led by both Daniel Bryan and The Miz, however, things were shuffled later on and Bryan ended up being removed from this match, leaving Miz to be the captain.

However, the Miz couldn’t lead his team to the victory. After the show, the A-lister was interviewed backstage and he still managed to blame Daniel for the loss.

Miz blamed the likes of Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy for their loss and mentioned how they were picked by Daniel Bryan before he was removed from the match. You can check out the full interview of Miz below:

What Happened After Survivor Series Went Off Air, Favorite Match Of The Night

1

What Happened After Survivor Series Went Off Air

The final match of Survivor Series saw the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan facing the Beast Brock Lesnar in a one on one match and not very surprisingly, Lesnar won this bout.

However, what’s interesting is that similar to AJ Styles last year; Bryan actually showed some offense in the bout and even taunted the Universal Champion in the opening moments of the match.

After the show got over, WWE posted the following video of Daniel Bryan making his way back to the locker room, and even though he lost the bout, the WWE Champion could be seen smiling in the released footage:

Which Is Your Favorite Match Of The Night

The Survivor Series PPV featured some good matches and after the show, WWE made the following poll post asking fans which was their favorite bout of the night:

Surprisingly out of the 32,270 votes so far, 64% of the people have chosen the match between Charlotte Flair and Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey as their favorite fight of the night.

This is followed by the main event of the show and the match between Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar has a total of 25% vote share.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar proved that he was the most dominant top champion in the WWE. As seen at Sunday’s (November 18, 2018) Survivor Series pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network, Lesnar was able to beat WWE Champion Daniel Bryan in a champion vs. champion match.

Lesnar won the WWE Universal Championship by defeating Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Fahd International Stadium. The pair of men were competing for the vacant strap that was forfeited by Roman Reigns.

It’s been reported that Lesnar has two more matches on his current WWE deal. The first being a match with Styles at Survivor Series, and the second being another match with Braun Strowman.

Lesnar agreed secretly to the new deal with the WWE that sees him working multiple shows, but its length of time has been kept secretive. It was added that Lesnar is scheduled as late as April of next year for WrestleMania. It will be interesting to see when Lesnar works his next match under the WWE banner.
