Does Big Cass Keep In Contact With Enzo?

6

2018 was an eventful year for the men formerly known as Big Cass and Enzo Amore. Once rising stars in WWE, both were released from the company in recent months. With his legal issues behind him, Enzo Amore has stated he will never wrestle again and is pursuing a music career as Real 1.  Meanwhile, Big Cass has been taking booking on the independent scene and is waiting for his 90-days no-compete clause to expire.

Big Cass appeared on Booker T’s Heated Conversations podcast over the weekend. Cass spoke about his future in the wrestling business and commented on his current relationship (or lack thereof) with Enzo.

No Contact With Enzo

Cass revealed that he has not contacted Enzo in a long time and they’re not even friends. He would even go as far to say that he had no idea that Enzo was even rapping. While Cass has no intention of reuniting the team, he wouldn’t rule it out if the money was right.

“We’re not friends, so I just don’t think that’ll be a possibility. I mean—let me tell you something, Booker, if the money is right, yeah, I’ll definitely do it.”

You can listen to the entire conversation below on Booker T’s Heated Conversations podcast with Brad Gilmore:

Smackdown & 205 Live 9/4 Preview

0

Smackdown and 205 Live will take place inside Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit, Michigan tonight. Only one match has been announced for tonight between the two shows.

In fact, the General Manager for 205 Live seems to be preoccupied with something else entirely other than the cruiserweight division.

Smackdown 9/4 Preview

Sanity vs Rusev Day vs The Usos

The winner of this match will move on to face the Bar in the finals of another mini-tournament to declare the next team to challenge for the Smackdown tag-team championships. The Bar defeated the Club and the Colons last week.

Aiden English and Rusev will be working as a team again tonight. English had seemed to be on a cold streak not long ago, as he cost Lana and Rusev multiple matches. Things appear to be patched up between the two now, however.

New Day will no doubt be watching this match closely, as will the Bar.

Samoa Joe To Visit AJ Styles’ Home?

Last week, Samoa Joe called AJ Styles’ wife while the WWE Champion was forced to watch in the ring. This week, Joe claims he’s going to visit Styles’ home.

How far will Samoa Joe go to bring Style’s personal life into their rivalry?

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella Segment

Daniel Bryan defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas last week but suffered a beatdown at the hands of Miz and Almas after. Maryse and Selina Vega also targetted Brie.

After suffering a 4-on-2 beatdown last week, how will Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan respond tonight?

Miz and Maryse will take on Bryan and Brie at Hell in a Cell. Fortunately, Brie competed on Raw last night to help shake off the ring rust.

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch Segment

The storyline everyone is talking about (for various reasons) could just take center stage tonight. Flair and Lynch have been going back and forth on social media throughout the weekend.

It seems as though these two want to face each other inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

205 Live 9/4

Last week on 205 Live, Buddy Murphy defeated Kalisto in the main event. Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa also came away with wins.

As of this writing, however, nothing has been officially confirmed for tonight’s episode of 205 Live. It’s possible that 205 Live General Manager, Drake Maverick, has been spending all of his time with his new tag-team, the Authors of Pain, rather than booking matches for the cruiserweight division.

Ring of Honor Television Results 9/3

0

Ring of Honor was back on television this week. The promotion’s television episodes air throughout the weekend and then on their Honor Club streaming service on Mondays.

Last night’s show featured a Women of Honor Championship match as well as the Best Friends taking on Silas Young and Bully Ray in the main event.

ROH TV 9/3

Women of Honor Championship
Sumai Sakai (c) defeated Madison Rayne

Madison Rayne has had an eventful summer. She challenged for the Impact World Championship at Slammiversary, wrestled in the Mae Young Classic, and challenged for the Women of Honor Championship here.

Unfortunately for Rayne, she lost this match via “Smashmouth”, which is a move similar to the Cross Rhodes or Tongan Twist.

Sakai will next defend her title against Tenille Dashwood on September 28th at Death Before Dishonor.

Shane Taylor defeated Josh Woods

Woods has been saying he never felt anything like when he was punched by Shane Taylor in their last match. There was speculation that perhaps Taylor loaded up his MMA-styled fighting glove.

During the match, Woods pulled off Taylor’s glove and discovered some type of foreign object. The ref went to throw the match out but Woods begged him not to. Then just as the ref agreed to keep the match going, Taylor hit “Greetings from the 216” for the win.

Heading into this match the two were tied 2-2 in their all-time series. Taylor picked up the win here to pull ahead by 3 wins to 2, however.

Jeff Cobb Broke Up A Future Of Honor Match

A Future of Honor tournament match was thrown out after interference from Jeff Cobb. On commentary, they referred to Cobb as the top free agent in wrestling today. He took out both prospects as well as another Future of Honor prospect who came out from the back.

The crowd popped huge for Cobb.

Main Event
The Best Friends defeated Bully Ray & Silas Young

What looked to be the beginning of a tag-team has already turned into a rivalry. Young and Bully Ray lost this match after Bully refused to tag in Silas and let him take the Dudebuster from the Best Friends for the finish.

Bully Ray told Silas he had to learn a lesson although it is not altogether clear what he meant.

Next Week’s Episode:

On next week’s episode of Ring of Honor, Jay Lethal will defend his ROH World Championship. Jonathan Gresham will challenge Lethal in a 30-minute Iron Man match.

Lanny Poffo Addresses Randy Savage – Stephanie McMahon Rumor

7

One of the longest-running unsubstantiated claims in pro-wrestling history is the infamous “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Stephanie McMahon rumor. Savage’s brother Lanny Poffo recently addressed the rumor on the first episode of his new podcast, The Genius Cast.

Longtime fans have probably heard the urban legend that Randy Savage had a liason of sorts with an underaged Stephanie. The rumor has been discounted by countless wrestlers over the years, but it persists to this day. Some fans still believe it’s the reason Savage was never brought back to WWE after his departure in 1994 and why the company waited so long to induct him into the Hall of Fame. According to Poffo, he doesn’t know if there is any truth to the rumor. Even if he did know, however, he wouldn’t tell. Poffo did offer up a theory as to why the rumor has persisted as strongly as it has over the years, however.

Lanny Poffo On Randy Savage Stephanie McMahon Rumor

“I don’t know and if I knew I wouldn’t tell you because Randy was very very private and I have absolutely no idea if that happened,” Poffo said “I’ll tell you what did happen. Triple H did an interview on a magazine and they said ‘what do you think of Hulk Hogan and the Macho Man’ and he says ‘well they’re great but they are dinosaurs.’ Well, evidently Hulk Hogan didn’t mind being called a dinosaur.”

So Poffo’s theory is that Savage mentioned Stephanie on his diss-track to Triple H just to get even with Hunter calling him a dinosaur.

“I have absolutely no idea if the urban legend is true. Like I said if I knew I wouldn’t tell you. It’s none of anybody’s business. There’s only one person who knows for sure and that is Stephanie. Randy is not here and she’s not talking,” Poffo continued.

Pro Wrestling Tees Brings In Half A Million Dollars In Sales Over All In Weekend

0

The Pro Wrestling Tees store in Chicago is happy with how All In and Starrcast weekend went. The retail outlet for the popular T-shirt company is reported to have brought in a half a million dollars in sales over the weekend. In total, they estimate over 20,000 products were sold.

Normally, the store says their retail outlet is not that busy as most customers order online. Under normal circumstances, the store might see 50 customers a weekend. This was not a normal weekend, however.

Pro Wrestling Tees Chicago

Pro Wrestling Tees owner, Ryan Barkan, spoke to Sports Illustrated after the event.

“I was really excited Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks were bringing All In to Chicago,” Barkan said. “This was a huge event and I knew how big it could be for us, so I wanted some of the biggest events of the weekend to be at the store.”

Several Starrcast or All In related events took place at the store. Not the least of which was CM Punk’s marathon autograph signing the day before. Barkan said fans began lining up for Punk’s appearance as early as 4 AM for the 9 AM signing.

“There may not be another WrestleMania in Chicago, so this was the ideal wrestling weekend to have fans meet Punk. There were people in line locally and ones from all over the world.”

Becky Lynch Wants Charlotte Flair Inside Hell In A Cell, Flair Responds

3

It looks as though not only will Charlotte Flair be defending the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch at HIAC but the match itself will take place inside the cell structure. At least that is what has been building between the two Superstars online.

Lynch posted the following message over the weekend:

https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1036351080236503041

The idea of the match taking place inside the Hell in a Cell appealed to Flair. She sent the following message in response:

Lynch seemed fine with Flair’s comments. She offered up the following in response:

https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1036752665211035651

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch

Lynch and Flair have wrestled two single’s matches against one another on WWE programming. The first match took place July 18th, 2017 and the second was on June 5th, 2018. Lynch won both matches.

They’ve wrestled in 4 multi-person matches where they were on opposing sides. Of those 4 matches, Flair has won twice (including the title match at Summerslam), Lynch has won once, and Natalya the other. Additionally, Lynch and Flair have both been in all three Women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches, with the first two having been won by Carmella and the latest being won by Alexa Bliss.

They have been on opposing sides of just one tag-team match to take place on WWE programming. Charlotte Flair and Team Smackdown beat Becky Lynch and Team Raw at the Survivor Series in 2016.

Goldust Posts Emotional Message To Cody Regarding All In (Video)

2

Dustin Runnels could not be any prouder of his little brother, Cody. According to a video the wrestler known as Goldust posted to Instagram, he’s already watched All In and Cody’s match with Nick Aldis multiple times.

“Hey little brother, it’s big brother here,” Dustin begins. “I love you. Congratulations on an incredible match with Nick Aldis to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Unbelievable.”

Dustin and Cody Rhodes

After winning the ROH World Championship last year, Cody spoke about how supportive his older brother was.

“I love my big brother. I absolutely do. And if the shoe was on the other foot and he became World Champion or becomes World Champion, I’ll be there,” Cody said in a media conference call in 2017.

As a team, the brothers are 2x former WWE tag-team champions and won the Slammy award for tag-team of the year in 2013. Earlier that year, Cody had eliminated his brother from the Royal Rumble, the second such time he had done so.

Earlier this summer, Dustin commemorated the 3-year anniversary of Dusty Rhodes’ death.

“Been an especially hard year for me,” Dustin Tweeted on June 11th. “3 yrs. ago we lost our dad. Every damn day, I wish I could see you, or pick up the phone and call you. God, I miss you, Dad. You are the strongest, greatest man I ever knew. I love you pops.”

9 Takeaways From WWE RAW (9/3)

8

The September 3rd episode of WWE RAW aired live from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, OH. In addition to the takeaways below, Authors of Pain were accompanied by 205 Live GM Drake Maverick tonight on RAW. Drake announced himself as the manager of AOP and said that he was going to make them RAW Tag Team Champions. Akam and Rezar then beat the hell out of a couple of jobbers for a quick victory.

Here are 9 takeaways from this week’s show:

Braun Strowman Vowed To Dismantle Roman Reigns At HIAC

Braun RAW 9 3

Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre kicked off this week’s episode of RAW. Strowman said that he tried to do this face to face with Roman but he had his brothers come down and save him. Braun added that without Ambrose and Rollins saving him, that Universal Championship would belong to him.

Strowman said that he doesn’t give a damn if the crowd likes it or not because he has a pack of his own. Braun added that he is going to show Reigns that this is his yard and dismantle him at WWE Hell in a Cell.

McIntyre chimed in and claimed that The Shield has had their time but now that is over. Ziggler stated that they will be the most dominant force in WWE history and started naming factions of the past. Dolph noted that The Shield started this and that they will end it.

The Shield interrupted and made their way through the crowd. Several Superstars rushed the ring to try and prevent the brawn but The Shield fought them off. More Superstars from the locker room rushed the ring but once again The Shield beat them down.

The brawl started in the ring before even more Superstars came down to the ring and separated The Shield from Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, The Shield was shown getting arrested backstage.

The Bellas Returned To RAW & Picked Up A Win

The Bella Twins
Nikki & Brie Bella

Nikki & Brie Bella returned to action and battled Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan tonight on RAW.

https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/1036771126041616384

Nikki and Liv Morgan started off the match. Liv mocked Nikki with the “you can’t see me” taunt and then tagged Sarah Logan in. Logan and Nikki locked up and Sarah drove Nikki to the ropes. Logan connected with a punch to the face but Nikki shrugged it off and took Logan to the canvas for a two count.

Brie tagged in and hit Logan with a knee to the face for a near fall. Morgan tagged in as Brie was trying to roll-up Logan. Liv booted Brie in the back of the head for a two count and then applied a Headlock in the middle of the ring.

Liv ducked under a Clothesline and whipped Brie to the canvas by her hair for a near fall. Logan tagged in and slammed Brie to the canvas. Brie battled back with a Dropkick and followed it up with a series of Yes Kicks.

Liv tagged in and Brie greeted her with a Clothesline. Brie then delivered knees to the face of both Morgan and Logan. Brie went for a Suicide Dive onto Logan outside the ring but she got hung up in the ropes and Logan hit her with a forearm to the face as RAW went to a break.

Logan had Brie trapped in a Headlock when RAW returned. Brie quickly battled to her feet and broke the hold with an Arm Drag. Logan prevented Brie from tagging out and brought her back to the corner of the ring. Sarah stomped on Brie several times but Brie battled back with a Dropkick off the second rope.

Morgan tagged in as Brie dove across the ring to tag in Nikki. Nikki decked Liv with a Clothesline and followed it up with a Dropkick to her face. Logan hopped into the ring to break up a pinfall but Nikki quickly tossed her to the outside. Nikki then bashed Ruby Riott of the ring apron. Brie Bella once again screwed up a Suicide Dive and her foot got caught in the ropes and she came up short outside the ring. Nikki then hit the Rack Attack on Liv for the pinfall victory.

The Ascension battled the new tag team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Gable started off the match by Suplexing Viktor a few times. Konnor got into the ring and Gable hit him with a German Suplex as well as the crowd cheered.

Gable then tagged in Roode and Bobby bounced Viktor’s face off the turnbuckle. Roode planted Viktor with a Suplex for a two count. Viktor battled back and threw Roode to the corner of the ring. The Ascension took turns beating down Bobby Roode for a minute before Viktor tapped Roode in a Headlock.

Gable tagged in and hit Viktor with another Suplex. Chad followed it up with a Cannonball onto Konnor outside the ring and then a Dropkick off the top rope to Viktor. Gable hit an awesome German Suplex to Viktor for the pinfall victory. Roode and Gable then celebrated in the ring after the match.

Alexa Bliss Tapped Out Natalya With An Arm Bar

Bliss Arm Bar

Elias came down to the ring to perform a song but was interrupted by Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, and Alicia Fox. Alexa is from Columbus and said that she graduated high school in this very building. Bliss called her hometown crowd idiots and stated that she could not get out of this dump quick enough.

Bliss stated that she was the biggest star to come out of Columbus and then blasted Trish Stratus for her actions last week. Alexa then said she wanted to walk with Elias and asked him to sing the song he was about to sing. RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey joined the party and interrupted Elias once again. Natalya then made her way to the ring for a match against Alexa Bliss.

Natalya connected with a Dropkick for a near fall to start off the match. Bliss battled back with a punch to the face that knocked Natalya to the mat. Alexa stomped on Natalya in the corner of the ring and then distracted the referee as Mickie and Alicia attacked her. Bliss then planted Natalya with a DDT and locked in an Arm Bar on Natalya to taunt Rousey. Natalya had no choice but to tap out.

Bliss then tried to attack Rousey from behind but Ronda saw it coming. Fox got into the ring and fell victim to a few Arm Drags from Rousey. Alexa shoved Rousey into the ring post and tried to attack her again but Rousey fought her off again. Fox, Mickie James, and Alexa then retreated up the entrance ramp as Ronda helped Natalya up.

Ziggler & McIntyre Are The New Tag Team Champs

Ziggler McIntyre RAW 9 3

The Revival was set to face The B-Team tonight for the RAW Tag Team Championships. McIntyre and Ziggler attacked them backstage and RAW GM Baron Corbin put Ziggler and McIntyre in the match instead.

McIntyre started off the match with a Belly to Belly Throw that sent Axel flying across the ring. Dolph tagged in as Bo Dallas knocked McIntyre out of the ring. Curtis rolled up Dolph for a two count and then Bo tagged into the match.

Ziggler went for a Splash in the corner but Bo got out of the way and Clotheslined Dolph out of the ring. Axel and Bo then Clotheslined McIntyre to the outside as RAW went to a commercial break.

Ziggler and McIntyre were back in control when RAW returned from the break. Bo fought back for a moment but Dolph sent him back to the mat with a Dropkick. Bo finally was able to escape and tag in Axel. Curtis planted Ziggler with a Neckbreaker and followed it up with a Perfect-Plex. Axel went for the cover but Drew got into the ring and broke it up. McIntyre slammed Bo into the turnbuckle and Dallas fell to the floor outside the ring.

The Undertaker Confronted Shawn Michaels

Taker

Shawn Michaels came down to the ring to promote Undertaker vs. Triple H at WWE Super Show-Down. Shawn stated that he wanted to be in the arena and see that match personally.

Michaels noted that he was surprised that several WWE HOFers picked Undertaker to win the match. He said he would have agreed with them if The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak was still intact. Michaels picked Triple H to win the match because he is still The Game and has more left in the tank than Undertaker.

The Undertaker’s music hit and the lights went out in the arena. Undertaker made his way to the ring and said that he has already taken the best that Triple H and Michaels had and put them down. The Undertaker claimed that Michaels chose Triple H to win the match because Undertaker took his career from him.

Shawn stated that he was a man of his word and that he has stayed true to his retirement out of respect for The Undertaker. The crowd chanted “one more match!” and Michaels said he hears that chant every time he steps into an arena but will stay retired out of respect for The Undertaker.

The crowd chanted “one more match” once again as Undertaker stared at Michaels. Undertaker asked Michaels if it was respect of fear that is keeping him retired. The Undertaker said that if Michaels came out of retirement for a match he would put him down once again. Undertaker added that he is going to put Triple H down again at Super Show-Down.

Bayley & Sasha Banks battled Dana Brooke & Ember Moon tonight on RAW. Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews were ringside for the match. Banks and Bayley started off the match in control as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Banks connected with a kick that knocked Brooke to the corner of the ring. Dana battled back and hit Banks with an Enziguri. Brooke got distracted with Crews and O’Neil shouting instructions to her.

Brooke told them to shut up and went for a Splash but Sasha got out of the way. Banks then rolled up Dana for the pinfall victory. After the match, Dana Brooke told Crews and Titus that she has enough with both of them and walked away.

Kevin Owens Attacked Lashley

Kevin Owens attack Lashley

RAW GM Corbin gave Bobby Lashley a performance review and instructed him to head to the ring for a “meditation intervention” with Jinder Mahal.

Jinder claimed to sense a great deal of anger within Lashley and offered to help him harness that power to achieve inner peace. Mahal and Sunil took a seat and asked Lashley to join him.

Bobby took a seat and kept calling everyone “my man”. Kevin Owens mercifully ended the terrible promo by attacking Lashley from behind. Lashley tried to fight back but Jinder Mahal attacked him as well.

Owens then delivered a Superkick to Lashley’s face that knocked him out of the ring. Owens went after Bobby and Powerbombed him on the ring apron to end the segment.

Strowman, McIntyre, Ziggler, & Others Attacked The Shield

mcintyre ziggler strowman raw 9 3

Finn Balor faced Braun Strowman in the main event of this week’s RAW. Balor challenged RAW GM Corbin to a rematch earlier in the night and Corbin accepted. However, Corbin then opted out of the match and told Finn that he would have to face Braun Strowman instead. Right before the match, Corey Graves announced that The Shield posted bail and are no longer in jail. Ziggler and McIntyre accompanied Braun down to the ring for the match.

Strowman started off the match in control and threw Balor around like he was nothing. Balor battled back and delivered a Double Stomp to Braun outside the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Strowman was back in control and started clubbing Finn across the chest. Strowman launched Finn out of the ring and chased after him but Balor planted Strowman with a Slingblade.

Back in the ring, Strowman hit Finn with a Splash and went for another one but Balor countered with a Dropkick. Finn locked in a Sleeper Hold but Braun escaped by bashing Finn into the turnbuckle. Strowman charged at Finn in the corner but Balor hopped out of the way and Braun crashed into the ring post. Balor then flipped onto Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre outside the ring.

Braun quickly got up and rolled Finn inside the ring. Balor hit him with an Enziguri and made his way to the top rope. Strowman got up and brought him down but Balor was able to lock in a Triangle submission in the middle of the ring. Strowman broke the hold with a Powerbomb and followed it up with the Running Powerslam for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Ziggler, McIntyre, and Strowman attacked Balor and threw him out of the ring. McIntyre and Ziggler lifted Balor up and Strowman set up for a Powerbomb but The Shield interrupted by showing up in a police van. Roman Reigns was the driver and Ambrose and Rollins were in the back.

The Shield marched towards the ring but were attacked from behind by a bunch of heel Superstars. Strowman grabbed the steel steps and bounced them off Reigns’ face. Rollins was launched into the police van and smashed the window. McIntyre booted Ambrose in the face as Braun planted Reigns with a Powerslam. The heels then dragged The Shield down the ramp as McIntyre, Ziggler, and Braun posed in the ring.

Two Big Names & Match Advertised For Next Week’s RAW

8

WWE is loading up next week’s episode of RAW as they will have to go up against stiff competition.

The company has announced that Triple H and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will appear on the show to promote the upcoming contest that will see “The Game” battle The Undertaker in a singles match at the WWE Super Show-Down pay-per-view event that takes place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia.

Foley was last seen on WWE television when he was fired as the RAW General Manager by Stephanie McMahon during the March 20, 2017 episode of the flagship show of the company.

Also announced is Ronda Rousey & Natalya vs. Alicia Fox & Alexa Bliss in a tag team match.

The company has already announced that Rousey would defend the RAW Women’s Title against Bliss at the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the AT&T Center on the WWE Network. This is a rematch from SummerSlam where Rousey won the title from Bliss.

WWE holds next week’s show in New Orleans, LA at the Smoothie King Center. As of this writing, no other matches for RAW have been announced. WWE will go head-to-head with two NFL regular season games on ESPN next Monday.

WWE Evolution: Lita vs. Mickie James Announced

9

WWE Hall of Famer Lita will return to the ring next month at WWE Evolution. WWE announced on Monday night that former WWE Women’s Champion Lita will take on Mickie James at the historic event. Like Trish Stratus, Lita was a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match back in January.

Lita vs. Mickie James is now the third match confirmed for Evolution. WWE has stated that every women’s championship will be defended at the show. As a result, we should soon learn who will be challenging for the RAW, SmackDown, NXT and NXT UK Women’s Championships.

WWE Evolution Card

As of this writing, two matches have been confirmed for WWE’s first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view:

  • Trish Stratus vs. Alexa Bliss
  • Lita vs. Mickie James
  • Mae Young Classic Finals

WWE previously stated that every women’s championship will be defended, so we should also get match announcements for the following titles:

  • RAW Women’s Championship (held by Ronda Rousey)
  • SmackDown Women’s Championship (held by Charlotte)
  • NXT Women’s Championship (held by Kairi Sane)
  • NXT UK Women’s Championship (held by Spoiler)

WWE Evolution takes place on Sunday, October 28th from Long Island, New York at the Nassau Coliseum. The show will stream live on the WWE Network.

What are your thoughts on this latest match announcement?

The Undertaker Returns On WWE Monday Night RAW

9

The Undertaker made his return to the flagship show of the WWE, Monday Night RAW, which marked his first appearance on the TV series since RAW 25 back in January.

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW in Columbus, OH at the Schottenstein Center on the USA Network, Taker interrupted WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels while he was cutting a promo to hype the upcoming match between Taker and Triple H at Superstar Show-Down. They had an exchange of words that involved Michaels explaining why he has stayed retired. Taker questioned Michaels’ explanation of having enough respect for Taker to stay retired and that’s why he hasn’t come back for one more match.

The last time that Taker competed inside of a WWE ring was when he teamed up with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to defeat Elias, Baron Corbin, and Kevin Owens at a WWE live event at MSG in July. Prior to his recent RAW appearance, the Undertaker was last seen on WWE programming once he beat Rusev in a Casket Match in late April at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.

The WWE Super Show-Down pay-per-view event takes place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia. Here is the card:

Triple H vs. The Undertaker

#1 Contender’s Match: Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz

WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe

John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. Elias and Kevin Owens

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre – Six-Man Tag Team Match

Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins vs. The Riott Squad – Six-Woman Tag Team Match

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander vs. Buddy Murphy

Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre Win WWE RAW Tag Team Titles

5

A big title change went down on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Columbus, OH at the Schottenstein Center on the USA Network. The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) were originally scheduled to challenge for the gold.

However, before their match, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre attacked them. This led to Ziggler and McIntyre replacing them where they went onto defeat The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) to win the RAW Tag Team Titles. This marks the first time that they have titles together.

Axel and Dallas held the titles for just over a month and a half as they beat Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy at the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event in Pittsburgh, PA back in June on the WWE Network.

Although the company has yet to officially announce when the B-Team will get their rematch for the gold, it’s likely that Ziggler and McIntyre will defend the titles against the former champions at the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the AT&T Center on the WWE Network.

What are your thoughts on this title change? Was this the right time for the titles to change hands? Sound off in the comment section.

Flip Gordon On His Future Goals With ROH

0

Ring Of Honor (ROH) star Flip Gordon was recently interviewed by Wrestling Epicenter to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Gordon first talked about his quick ascension within ROH, traveling more and getting into the ring with some of the best in the world:

“It has been a fun journey,” he said. “I wanted as much as I could and that is kind of what I did very early on. I started just wrestling in the Northeast. I’ve always wanted to travel more, I always wanted to go further, I always wanted to wrestle new people. I think while doing that, I got to get into the ring with a lot of good guys probably before I should have had the chance to be in the ring with them. But, I did! I was able to learn at a very fast rate and I think that is what caught Ring of Honor’s attention.”

ROH/NJPW Supercard Of Honor

Gordon also offered his thoughts on ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (NJPW) Supercard Of Honor selling out Madison Square Garden. He expressed his excitement for the professional wrestling milestone, as MSG is usually a WWE-dominated venue:

“It is just insane! Not just from a wrestling standpoint but from an entertainer’s standpoint! Anybody from basketball to comedy to music to wrestling to theater, they want to perform in Madison Square Garden!

“That is the World’s Most Famous Arena! Like you said, it is the Mecca! That is a dream of mine coming true. I can’t wait! I wish it was April already! (laughs)

“For Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling to put on a co-show, the G1 Supercard, and to sell it out that quick is a testament to how popular wrestling is right now and how much of a variety there is. Wrestling fans want something different.

“You can have a WWE show across town and have a non-WWE show sell out in the same city! There’s such a variety and it is cool to see how much wrestling is thriving right now!”

Goals With ROH

As far as his future goals with ROH, Gordon wants to get his beef with Bully Ray out of the way. He’s then eying a run with the ROH TV Title:

“Well, I want to get this thing with Bully Ray squashed, get that out of the way. And then, you know, I’ve been with Ring of Honor for over a year now, I have just re-signed… Maybe it is time for a TV title run?”

Teddy Hart On The Ripple Effects The Hart Family Suffered From The Montreal Screwjob

3

Independent wrestling star Teddy Hart was recently a guest on former WWE star Sean “X-Pac” Waltman’s podcast, XPac 12360. During the appearance, Hart discussed the ripple effects felt by The Hart Family after The Montreal Screwjob.

In 1997 Bret Hart was victim to the screwjob by Vince McMahon at the Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV). Hart was told the match was ending in a disqualification. Instead, McMahon instructed referee Earl Hebner to call for the bell once Shawn Michaels locked Hart in the Sharpshooter.

Michaels was awarded the WWE Title and the submission victory despite Hart never tapping out. Hart was preparing to go to WCW later that year and McMahon wanted to ensure he wouldn’t leave with the title.

Teddy Hart described the ripple effect the screwjob had on his family:

“It affected the unity of our family plus the WWE family because Bret [Hart] and Shawn [Michaels] were good friends before that. And it put guys like you [Waltman] in an awkward spot.

“That whole rift thing in WCW, where some of your friends left and went there and Bret going after and hitting Vince [McMahon], I think was one of the worst things that ever happened in wrestling history. That situation caused Owen [Hart] to end up in that situation too.

“Like a ripple effect. Like Davey [Boy Smith] wasn’t in the right headspace after he tried to make his comeback and Jim [Neidhart] suffered definitely from not being in the WWE system because the structure in WWE compared to WCW at the time, you know WCW was pretty wild… the ripple effect of that Montreal screwjob f–ked everybody over.”

Samir Singh Is Looking Jacked (Photo)

Samir Singh will be in great shape when he finally makes his return to WWE action.

One-half of The Singh Brothers was downed in January when he suffered a torn ACL injury. The injury was sustained during a ringside altercation with Bobby Roode on SmackDown Live. Roode and Jinder Mahal were competing in a United States Title Tournament Finals match.

Singh underwent surgery in January with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas in Alabama. He has been rehabbing hard for the past several months, but it appears he has also been working on his physical appearance. Singh took to Twitter and shared a photo of his progression.

Check it out here below:

“7 months is a long time to be on the sidelines, I’ve had a lot of time to think. The rehab process has been long and frustrating but I wanted to get in the best shape of my life.

“The road to recovery is a long one but, I was very happy with my check in results this week.”

All In: What Happened After The Show (Video)

0

The main event of Saturday night’s All In pay-per-view saw The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi defeat Rey Mysterio, Bandido, and Rey Fenix in a six-man tag match. After the  broadcast ended, the wrestlers were joined in the ring by new NWA World Champion Cody, Brandi Rhodes, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and family members.

In a post-match celebration that lasted around 15 minutes, The Young Bucks, Cody and Kenny Omega addressed the audience about the show that just ended and what the future holds for all of them. SEScoops was ringside for the show and got exclusive video of everything that happened after All In.

The Young Bucks Ready To Deliver More of ‘Their Vision of Pro Wrestling’

Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks revealed to the crowd that due to time constraints, they had to defeat their opponents even faster than they would have otherwise. The main event was in fact cut short and ended with just seconds to spare before the pay-per-view feed cut out. Things got a bit more serious, however, as the conversation turned to reflect on their collective journey towards ‘All In’.

Matt Jackson recalls, “You know guys, about a year ago – or maybe even longer – this man [Cody] came into our lives. And I liked him right away because I thought to myself ‘man, that guy is as crazy and as ambitious as us, Nick.’ So I said, ‘hey, let’s take this guy, let’s ride with him, let’s dine with him, let’s hang out with him.’”

During the course of their burgeoning friendship, Cody would one day come to them with a proposition. Matt remembers, “Cody came to us with this wild idea. He said, ‘Young Bucks, Bullet Club, I think we can put 10,000 asses in 10,000 seats.’”

A lofty goal that they were able to accomplish, with their event selling every single one of those 10,000+ seats in just under thirty minutes. A fact that isn’t lost on the trio.

“[…] it didn’t take just three men,” Matt claims. “It didn’t take just the Young Bucks and Cody. It took each and every one of the people standing in this ring. This was a group collaboration. All the people in the back. And most importantly, as cheesy as it sounds, all 10,000+ of you. You can feel it. You can feel it. There’s a hunger. There’s a thirst. You guys want good. Pro. Wrestling.”

This was met with huge applause as Matt pressed on.

“You guys want good entertainment. And what we presented to you in those 4 hours and 57 minutes – Oh my God – was our vision of what we think we can do with pro wrestling.”

Before handing the mic over to Cody, Matt had one final thing to admit to the crowd in attendance: “[…] if you guys want it, you want more pro wrestling from the cast of Being The Elite, then my family, my great friends, my cast of bandits, we will give you more of this. Because we couldn’t have done this without you,” he admits, before continuing in an emotional moment, “Chicago, this is was one of my favorite – you know what, this was my favorite night of my career.

Cody: “No Man, No Company, No Entity Owns Pro Wrestling. We Own Pro Wrestling!”

For Cody, however, it seemingly became more than just a pro wrestling event. It became about the importance of the relationships he clearly cares most about.

“‘All In’ is a serendipitous tale of things just falling in line one after the other. And one of those things is – not only did I find colleagues right here, not only did I find peers, these people are my best friends in the entire world.”

With people wondering about what could be coming next, Cody tried to allay any sort of worry by proclaiming, “And that big question of what happens next with this group? We are sticking together. Because no money, no man, no company, no entity owns pro wrestling. We own pro wrestling!”

His last words were particularly poignant, as he declared that “[…] the reality is this: this group [behind ‘All In’] went from undesirable to undeniable!”

At this point, Cody introduced his friend and leader of the Bullet Club, Kenny Omega to close the show.

Kenny Omega Addresses His Future

Kenny admitted that he was “merely a piece of the puzzle” and not a part of original three minds that created the show, before giving “all the credit in the world to Cody and the Young Bucks”. Omega said All In was probably the greatest pro wrestling show and addressed rumors that he could be WWE bound next year.

“You guys know where I come from. You guys know where some people want me to go. But guess freaking what? Guess freaking what? What we did today blew everything out of the water.”

He continued, “Believe it or not, that’s not just talking about the match quality. That’s not talking about this incredible cast of characters. Guess what the most important ingredient is…Did you figure it out yet? Oh, yes. It’s each and every single one of you. You guys believed in the change. You believed in the movement. You believed in the alternative. And thus, we shall continue this journey.”

Omega ended his words with his signature sign-off “But for now, we all must bid you adieu. So, please, with me now, if you will…good-bye and good-night. Bang!”

There was something – to borrow a phrase from Cody – undeniably special about the event, with an electricity coursing through the crowd throughout the entire show, from Zero Hour to ‘All In’ actual. It will be with great interest that the wrestling world watches where the Elite, and those who helped them put together ‘All In’, go from here.

Melina Responds To Naomi Wanting To Face Her At Evolution

3

A lot of fantasy booking is being done in regards to the upcoming WWE Evolution pay-per-view (PPV).

The WWE is getting ready for its first all-female PPV in history. It all goes down on October 28th from Uniondale, New York. Several match-ups have already been announced for the card. Past WWE stars such as Lita, Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix are all scheduled to compete.

One name WWE fans have been throwing out for a possible appearance is former WWE Women’s Champion Melina. She departed WWE in 2011 after winning five titles with the company.

Recently, Melina was actually called out by current WWE Superstar Naomi for a match at Evolution. Cathy Kelly interviewed Naomi at the 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards. When she asked Naomi who she’d like to face at Evolution, Melina was the first name that came to mind.

Melina has caught wind of Naomi’s comments and recently replied on Twitter. She said having a match with Naomi would be “insanely magical.” Melina also mentioned she’s very proud of Naomi’s in-ring accomplishments:

“. , I know in my heart having a match with you would be insanely magical. I absolutely adore you! Thank you for always being such an incredible person. Sending you all my love & please know, I’m so proud of you.”

Lana Reveals Desired Partner For WWE Women’s Tag Team Division

1

The WWE’s Women’s Revolution has made some tremendous strides in recent years.

We have seen a ton of firsts for the women of WWE, and it looks like things are just getting started. The company is gearing up for its first-ever all-female pay-per-view (PPV) entitled WWE Evolution.

Women from WWE’s past and present will be competing on the card, including a few Hall Of Famers. SmackDown Live star Lana spoke to Newsweek to promote the October 28th event recently.

During their conversation, a potential WWE Women’s Tag Team Division was discussed. This has been something WWE’s athletes and fans have been speculating on for quite some time.

Lana Reveals Her Desired Partner

In regards to the potential Tag Team Division, Lana is all for it. In fact, “The Ravishing Russian” would like to partner up with former SDL Women’s Champion Naomi:

“Literally, the sky is the limit. We are constantly continuing to shatter glass ceilings and breaking down doors that at one point we were told would never be broken down. It’s really exciting.

“We have less and less firsts now, but I would love to see the women main event WrestleMania. I’ve heard that will never happen, but we will do it.

“I’d love to see a women’s tag team division, and I’d love to be tag champions some day. I think my teammate as of now would be Naomi. We would be Ravishing Glow, we already named ourselves that.

“We would do a little dancing. She’s the best dancer in the world, but don’t tell her that. I tell her I’m better, but that’s our friendship.”

Discussion: What do you think about a potential team of Lana and Naomi? Do you think WWE will implement a Women’s Tag Team Division? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!

Batista Addresses His Decision To Transition From WWE To Acting In 2010

0

Although Batista is no longer a member of the WWE’s roster, he will always be part of the WWE family. In a recent interview with talkSport, Batista discussed what led to him making the decision to transition from the land of WWE to the world of acting and how his movie career would not have happened if he didn’t make the decision to depart from WWE in 2010 to pursue his dream.

Batista noted that his transition “came about out of spite” as it first came from when he learned that he was a horrible actor but it made him want to be a better actor and do it all when he was under contract with the WWE.

However, they would not give him the opportunity within the company. He disagreed with their position but WWE stood their ground on the situation.

Thus, he came to the decision of ‘Well, I’m going to let my contract run out and I’m gonna leave.’ He continued by stating that’s “exactly what I did and I set out to be an actor.”

Batista admitted that changing careers was a brave move as he took him three years of barely working in acting and knew that he had a nice thing going in WWE in terms of money. He added that he could have stayed in WWE but wanted to do something else.

“The Animal” is one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time as he has won six WWE World Titles, a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner (2005 and 2014).

Spoiler: Big Name Backstage At WWE RAW

9

One huge name is backstage for tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW. PWinsider.com is reporting that The Undertaker is in town for the show and will likely appear on the show although that has yet to be confirmed.

The reason that he could appear on the show is due to WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels working the show to do a promo in the ring about the upcoming match between Taker and Triple H at the Super Show-Down event.

The pay-per-view event takes place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia and will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks.

The Undertaker was last seen on WWE programming once he beat Rusev in a Casket Match in late April at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. His last competed inside of a WWE ring once he teamed up with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to defeat Elias, Baron Corbin, and Kevin Owens.

WWE holds tonight’s show in Columbus, OH at the Schottenstein Center. As noted, WWE has already announced that The Bella Twins return to clash with The Riott Squad and The Revival challenge The B-Team for the RAW Tag Team Titles.

The Rock Congratulates Cody On NWA Championship Win

Hollywood megastar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has congratulated Cody on winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Of course, Cody’s big victory came at Saturday night’s big All In pay-per-view from Chicago. Rhodes defeated Nick Aldis in a thrilling contest that delivered one of the most memorable moments of an emotionally charged weekend.

Although we haven’t seen The Rock on WWE television in some time, People’s Champ still follows pro wrestling, as evidenced by his social media activity. The Rock addressed the “real legacy” of the NWA World Championship that Cody is now a part of and told Cody that Dusty is looking down and smiling “BIG!”

Cody thanked The Rock for paving the road for him and his peers. Cody and The Rock have more in common than meets the eye. In addition to having fathers who were wrestling superstars, both men have ventured into acting and both have expressed an interest in political careers.

Check out this video of The Rock and Cody Rhodes having a fun interaction on WWE SmackDown back in January 2013. The Rock gets payback on Team Rhodes Scholars for interrupting The Great One’s homecoming.
