Tye Dillinger Defends His Tweets About Wrestle Kingdom 12

6

The talk of the professional wrestling world early this morning was New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 12, which featured a highly-anticipated bout for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho. Wrestling fans from around the world stayed up until the late hours of the night yesterday to witness the spectacular event, and one of those fans was none other than WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger.

Dillinger took to Twitter to comment on former NXT star Liger being at the event, and a fan responded to him by telling him his Tweets of another company’s product will push him further down the card on SmackDown Live. You can check out Dillinger’s response, followed by a few more Tweets on the matter, here below:

Chris Jericho Responds To Criticism For Dedicating NJPW Match To Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero

20

Yesterday Chris Jericho took to Instagram to post a picture of some fan art that showed himself, WWE Hall Of Famer Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit – who he called his “fallen brothers,” and dedicated his Wrestling Kingdom 12 match against Kenny Omega this morning in Japan to the pair.

Jericho caught some heat for this from various fans and media personalities alike. One such media personality was Ryan Satin, who sent out the following sarcastic Tweet on the matter:

“Y2J” made a Facebook video to comment on his sharing of the fan art and his dedication to Guerrero and Benoit, calling out Satin specifically during the video as well. Check it out here:

Shane Douglas On Possible Bam Bam Bigelow HOF Induction

11

On the latest episode of The Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast “The Franchise” Shane Douglas commented on several professional wrestling topics. Douglas discussed the possibility of seeing Bam Bam Bigelow into the WWE Hall Of Fame, if he’d induct Bigelow, his thoughts on if Vince McMahon would set his feelings aside and extend him an invite, and more. Here are the highlights:

If he’d induct former Triple Threat stablemate Bam Bam Bigelow into the WWE Hall Of Fame if he were selected:

“Out of the uber respect that I have for Scott (Bam Bam) and certainly his family I’d be honored to induct him into the Hall of Fame. I am certainly capable of putting aside my feelings and it wouldn’t be about the WWE or the Hall of Fame it would be about my friend Scott. That said, I don’t believe that is ever going to happen. I think there is a better chance that the proverbial snowball could survive hell before that could happen but if that call did come I would certainly be honored to induct Scott into the Hall of Fame and my personal feelings about the “Hall” are irrelevant at that point and would have nothing to do with it.

“Bam Bam Bigelow truly deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and if that call would come I’d be honored to do it but I don’t think it is going to come. I think there is a much greater likelihood that Vince would look elsewhere but I am honored that the fans would want to consider that I should be the one to induct him.”

How he thinks Bam Bam would feel about the way people are selected for the WWE Hall Of Fame:

“I think on the surface of that question that Scott would be much along the lines that I am. But I also think that Scott and if I can be so bold as to take a stab at this and that is if Scott is sitting someplace and looking down and seeing where it is today that he would be honored and humbled to let his kids see him be inducted into the Hall of Fame and I’d have to honor that.

“Bam Bam because of his sheer size and being a little bit older than me was kind of like my big brother and Chris Candido was like my little brother. The three of us were literally like three brothers and I think he would be honored by the fact to be recognized and to have achieved that level that I don’t think that Scott ever saw himself in that way as a top tier guy. I think that is why we all got along so well. None of us ever counted ourselves as being in the class with those guys above us because those guys were great and were legends and were draws and we were just trying to learn and come up behind them. So I think Scott would be eternally humbled by being inducted into the Hall of Fame.”

If he thinks Vince McMahon would set his feelings aside and extend an invite to “The Franchise”:

“I think it is wishful thinking in the fan’s heads that Vince would do that. Vince and I don’t get along very well in case anyone doesn’t know that or hasn’t realized that by now. I am just hopeful that the rumors we are hearing are valid and that Scott is inducted and if for nothing else for his kids (Shane, Colton and Ricci) to see their father be inducted into that Hall of Fame because he adored his kids and as much as I love my boys, he adored his kids. After all these years of not having their father I would love for them to be able to experience what Bam Bam Bigelow brought to the ring and what their father brought to the ring and that is probably the best way I can put it.”

Jim Ross Explains How He Thinks WWE Should Bring Back CM Punk

25

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross was recently a guest on The Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Ross discussed who he’d hire if he was head of WWE Talent Relations now, how he’d get CM Punk to come back to WWE, getting Shawn Michaels to return several years ago, and much more. You can check out the highlights here below:

Who he’d hire today if he was head of WWE Talent Relations:

“Well, I’m certainly going to try to find another way to bring Chris Jericho back at some point, maybe at a WrestleMania, not [2018], but [2019]. Looking ahead. I’m probably going to try to get Kenny Omega signed. I’m going to find out the interest [level] from Kazuchika Okada because I think he’s one of the best in the whole world. He’s a good looking young man. He’s 29 [years old], I think. He’s 6’3″ or [6’4″], 6’3”, I think. He’s really, really good. I had his three matches with Omega this year on AXS TV on the Friday night show I do for [Mark] Cuban’s network, so he’d be a guy.

“I would certainly welcome Cody Rhodes back with open arms. Yeah, and The Young Bucks, I would try to get under contract because I like those kids. I like their entrepreneurial ability. I like the fact that they have a little bit of an attitude. Hell, I don’t care. I don’t know if they like me or if they don’t like me. I don’t have any idea. That’s their prerogative I like them and I love their work. But I think as many shirts as they think they’re selling now at that Topic place, what’s that place? Hot Topic. Get under that WWE umbrella and see how [many] shirts you sell. Oh, brother. It’s just the footprint is so much bigger. Hot Topic’s not going to stop buying shirts because they’re WWE shirts.”

Figuring out a way to get CM Punk back:

“I would try to figure out a way if there’s one more run in CM Punk. And ‘one more run’ to me means this: a WrestleMania, not 10, not two, not three, a WrestleMania. Start with let’s build to the right build and the crescendo is WrestleMania. And the only other way I’d do him is have him return at WrestleMania and not be on television. Sign, train, vignettes, vignettes, little angle, boom. His first match is WrestleMania. Yeah, that way there’s no pressure on anybody.”

When he got Shawn Michaels to come back to WWE:

“When I talked to Shawn Michaels about coming back to WWE and wrestling, he had been out four years. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Attitude Era time. I flew out from Stamford [Connecticut], LaGuardia specifically, to San Antonio [Texas] to visit with him and his lawyer, agent, whatever.” Ross recalled, “but I talked to him about coming back and I said, ‘many people, including myself, consider you one of the top one or two performers, in-ring performers, of all time, of all time. Unfortunately, there’s going to be a whole generation that don’t know you for that.

“They know you for the guy who lost his smile and the guy that hurt his back and had to take a four-year break. I’m just suggesting that that’s not the image, legacy, you want to leave. You have too [many] good things going on. And if nothing else, I’d like you to come back and have one match if you can. If not, let’s figure out a role for you. We would like for you to be able to share what to do, what not to do, and help these young guys who look up to you as their favorite.’ So I thought we’d get him back for one more match and he had several! And all of them were badass.”

Not having seen the best of Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE yet:

“I broadcast Wrestle Kingdom 9 live at ringside in Tokyo [Japan],” Ross continued, “and I thought he was one of the most fascinating personalities I had ever seen in my career and when I got back from that I did the old texting and let the appropriate folks know that I saw a guy that [they] might really want to take a look at because the influences for his game are derived from what’s the guy’s name that sang for Queen? Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. And I never heard of a professional wrestler saying that their influences are Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson and he has that great MMA background.

“He’s physical. I’ll just say this because I don’t know what the answer is other than I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Shinsuke Nakamura yet. There’s much more there. The question is will it be revealed, discovered, or utilized. I don’t know those answers and I don’t believe anyone does. But I find him fascinating, but I want to see some of that more physical, more snug. What we know is there, we are not getting. And I don’t know if that’s him. I don’t know if he’s injured. I don’t know what it is. But I’d love to see him be turned loose.”

Nakamura and A.J. Styles’ rivalry compared to Omega vs. Okada:

“I understand Kenny Omega, who WWE, I’m sure, would love to sign someday, I would think. He’s proven to have an ability to connect with an audience. He’s very talented [and] fundamentally sound. But he’ll want to move there someday because the older you get you can’t wrestle that crazy multiple bump, big bump style per match. And they do a lot of bumps on the apron, which is very dangerous and more jarring. And I understand their willingness to provide entertainment and all that good stuff. But Omega and Okada had three great matches this year, obviously. I called all three of them at some point with Josh Barnett, but I thought that the Nakamura/A.J. matches that I called were right there with them.”

Maria Kanellis Comments On Nude Photo Leak

32

WWE Superstar Maria Kanellis was one of several female professional wrestlers to be victims of private photo and video leaks online. The former Playboy cover girl took to Facebook to issue her thoughts on the entire situation, entitling it “What will you tell your child about being in Playboy? “Playboy, Leaked Photos, and Being Sexy””:

#DivaLadyWifeMom

What will you tell your child about being in Playboy?

“Playboy, Leaked Photos, and Being Sexy”

I have never thought about not being me. I have never been afraid to show off my body. I have never been scared of being sexy. And I don’t want my son or daughter to be afraid of their body. I want my children to be confident. In a world so full of hate and unknown, Mike and I do not want our children to feel like love is a foreign concept. I have been asked on numerous occasions about Playboy, my leaked photos, and about being sexy. My answers may surprise you and hopefully give you some insight into what it means to me to be able to be sexy and still be a great mother.

What will you tell your child about being in Playboy? I will tell them that mommy bought a house by capitalizing on a huge opportunity. I will tell them that mommy believes that the human body should be celebrated not shammed. I will tell them that Playboy is an iconic magazine and the decision to pose was something I discussed with my family and friends before making a well informed choice. I don’t believe sex is the enemy I think ignorance is. If my children, are well informed about the meaning and value of a person’s virtue, I think that is the best a parent can do.

Leaked Photos…. So, I guess I probably should make a statement about this at some point. Haha… I guess first you should know, every photo that I have seen leaked was something for my husband of over three years, who I have been with for 6 and a half. They were sent to or taken by Mike. So, you aren’t seeing anything salacious or forbidden. You are seeing our personal photos. It doesn’t bother me that I’m naked. I have been naked. Boobs, butt, etc… everyone has them. If my children asks about those photos, I will say mommy and daddy have a healthy relationship. We love each other. Daddy thinks Mommy is sexy. AND, there is nothing wrong with that. The problem is the intrusion of privacy. The sad, sad humans that can not make a happy, healthy life of their own. I would tell my child to feel sorry for the people that do not have enough love of their own and have to steal it from others. Mommy and daddy, pity the people that have enough time on their hands to fish through our photos but no time to make a life of their own. To those people, I say get some help, try online dating, and stop breaking the law.

I’m too sexy for small mindedness. Sex. Woah. How could you? NO, I can and I will never be afraid of it. Being sexy doesn’t end for pregnant people, married people, curvy people, skinny people, any people… Sex is beautiful. It creates life and draws humans together. War, is ever present on TV, in movies, and on video games and no one blinks an eye but you see a little boob and OMG!! Mark 10:6-9 “But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” One flesh sounds fun. If God wanted me to wear clothes, I would have been born with them. I wasn’t, so I’ll continue being sexy and enjoying my body. The body that was created by this universe.

Let’s talk about the things I am afraid of talking about with my child, war, sexual harassment, economic inequality, sexism, racism, homophobia, genocide, and the current political climate. There are much bigger problems in this world then, my sexuality. I have built my life around being a good person and being a good role model for my little sister when she was still little and now my nieces and nephew and soon for my child. In this country, we should focus less on the way people love and more on the way people hate. That is what I will teach my child. Hold hands not hate. Be the change you want to see in this world. Love Yourself. #PowerofLove
Love,
The Crazy Pregnant Lady

Daniel Bryan Sets Timeline For His Future In WWE

11

SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated while at a Springfield Thunderbirds hockey game over the weekend. During the discussion, he revealed a timeline for his future with the sports entertainment company.

“I assume that if I don’t wrestle by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all,” said Bryan. “That’s my assumption.”

Bryan has made it very clear to the WWE and to fans that despite what the company’s doctors have said to him in the past, he wants to step back in the ring again and is confident he hasn’t wrestled his last match.

Bryan continued, “It’s not a black and white answer. There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”

While his WWE contract is up in September, overtures have already been made in hopes of luring Bryan back to action. ROH COO Joe Koff has stated on multiple occasions that Ring of Honor would roll out the red carpet for him and welcome back “Bryan Danielson” with open arms.

When Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks announced their plans to promote an “All In” independent show later this year with 10,000 fans in attendance, Cody made it clear he’d like to face Daniel Bryan in the main event.

Whatever the future holds for Daniel Bryan, we’ll find out where things stand in a matter of months.

Chris Jericho Names His 5 Favorite Opponents

14

Ahead of his big match against Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 on January 4th, Chris Jericho penned an article for The Players Tribune website about his five favorite opponents over the course of his career.

Ultimo Dragon, Dean Malenko, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens – you just made the list! Some quick notes on what Jericho said about each man:

  • Ultimo Dragon

After competing in Mexico’s CMLL promotion and later WAR in Japan, “We wrestled at the WAR third anniversary show in July of 1995, and that was the match that got me into ECW and into WCW.”

  • Dean Malenko

Malenko was one of Jericho’s favorite opponents in WCW and their rivalry produced some of the most memorable aspects of Jericho’s early career on the national stage.

“The run with Dean ultimately led to some of the lasting fan-favorite Jericho promos, including “Man of 1,004 holds,” “Conspiracy Victim” and several others.”

  • Shawn Michaels

“A hundred years from now, Shawn will probably still be talked about as one of the greatest performers in the history of wrestling. Being able to work with him in such a big way in 2008 is something I will always be proud of.”

  • Rey Mysterio

“On the surface, it probably wouldn’t seem as though our styles would mesh, but that’s just another component that made working with Rey so great. We both were constantly changing it up in the ring, and I think we both did some of our best wrestling during that four-month span.”

  • Kevin Owens

Jericho and Kevin Owens’ “Best Friends” angle was one of the highlights of WWE programming in 2017. With their bromance in full swing and Jericho feeling untouchable, everything came crashing down at the Festival of Friendship.

“When he finally turned on me, the moment had a great element of surprise — and more importantly, we had people watching who were emotionally invested. A lot of hearts were broken that night — but in a good way. There aren’t a whole lot of guys besides Kevin who would have been able to convincingly pull that off.”

Head over to The Players Tribune to read Jericho’s thoughts on each opponent and how their matches shaped the course of his career.

Jim Ross Confirms He & Jerry Lawler Are Booked For RAW 25

5

WWE’s 25th Anniversary special for Monday Night Raw is fast approaching and several legends will be appearing on the show(s) to mark the occasion. Whoever shows up, it wouldn’t be a true Raw reunion without the two most recognizable voices in the show’s historic run, WWE Hall of Famers Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Both men have been teasing involvement in recent weeks, but JR has since confirmed that he and the King will be on hand – at least for the catering.

WWE is already advertising Brock Lesnar and John Cena for the show, with many more legends rumored to be appearing.

‘RAW 25’ takes place on Monday, January 22nd from both the Manhattan Center and the Brooklyn’s Barclay Center in New York City.

Rusev & Wendys Restaurant Discuss Rusev Day Celebrations

20

Rusev and the popular fast-food chain, Wendys, have been having a bit of a back and forth on social media recently.

The Rusev/Wendys interaction started not long after the restaurant announced plans for January 4th to be “National Roast Day”.

A fan responded to the post by simply wishing them a “Happy Rusev Day”.

Upon finding out about this, Rusev made a special request of Wendys:

Apparently, Rusev is a former Wendys employee.

Rusev Day

The belief is Rusev Day t-shirts are selling well as WWEShop initially ran out of stock not long after announcing the shirt’s release.

Having debuted at the Royal Rumble in 2014, Rusev has been on the main roster for 4 years now and could be in-line for a considerable push given his recent popularity.

Happy Rusev Day!

5 Takeaways From WWE SmackDown (1/2)

2

The January 2nd episode of WWE SmackDown aired live from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL. Here are 5 takeaways from this week’s show:

AJ Styles Shared His New Year’s Resolutions

shane daniel aj smackdown 1 2 18

WWE Champion AJ Styles came down to the ring and announced his New Year’s resolutions. Styles stated that he wanted to hold the WWE Championship until WrestleMania and then leave WrestleMania 34 with the title. AJ added that another one of his resolutions was to defeat Sami Zayn tonight.

SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan came down to the ring and joined Styles. Shane McMahon’s music then hit and the SmackDown Commissioner also joined Bryan and Styles in the ring. The crowd then chanted “Shane McMahon!” and “Daniel Bryan!”. Shane stated that he had the best intentions last week when he came down to the ring to remove Sami Zayn. Shane apologized for contributing to AJ’s loss last week to Kevin Owens. AJ accepted the apology.

Shane admitted to having issues with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Shane claimed that Daniel Bryan seems to favor Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for allowing Zayn to be ringside last week on SmackDown. Shane asked Daniel if he was turning the yes movement into the yep movement. Shane added that if Owens going to be ringside for the match, he will be there as well.

Daniel stated that both Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon will be ringside for the main event. Bryan said that if they are both going to be ringside, then he will join them as well. Shane McMahon added that they are going to start the new year off with a bang and Daniel Bryan started a “yes!” chant to end the segment.

Last week on SmackDown, Shane McMahon inadvertently cost AJ Styles his match against Kevin Owens. I’m guessing something similar will happen in tonight’s main event.

The Usos Retained Their Titles

The Usos retain smackdown 1 2 18

The Usos defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. Gable and Benjamin controlled the match early. Gable connected with a Moonsault off the top rope and tried to cover Jimmy but Jey broke it up as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Jimmy hit Gable with a Dropkick and tagged in Jey Uso. Jey knocked Benjamin out of the ring and leaped on top of him. Jey then knocked Gable out of the ring and leaped on to him as well. Benjamin dragged Jey out of the ring and slammed him into the barricade. Benjamin kneed Jey in the face and then teamed up with Gable to slam Jimmy to the mat for the pinfall victory.

Another referee ran down to the ring and said that Jey Uso was the legal man in the match and Jimmy Uso was the one who was pinned. The other referee admitted that he made a mistake and that Gable and Benjamin were not the legal men in the match. The match was then restarted.

Gable took out Jimmy Uso outside the ring. Back in the ring, Benjamin connected with a Spinebuster to Jey Uso. Gable and Benjamin attempted their finisher once again but The Usos were ready for it. The Usos Superkicked both Gable and Benjamin and hit a Splash on Shelton Benjamin for the victory.

This was goofy. The Usos, Gable & Benjamin are perfectly capable of having a great tag match. I would have preferred to have seen that rather than referees conversing and everyone standing around while they figure out if they screwed things up.

Xavier Woods Advanced In The US Title Tournament

New Day was backstage before Aiden English and Rusev interrupted. English said that he wished every day was Rusev Day. English vowed to defeat Woods tonight and advance in the United States Championship tournament.

Rusev accompanied English to the ring and sang him a song in the ring. Big E and Kofi Kingston accompanied Woods to the ring. Woods controlled the match early and threw English out of the ring. Woods connected with a kick and then was distracted by Rusev. English slammed Woods’ face off the steel steps and brought him back into the ring.

Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers were shown backstage watching the match as English applied a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring. Woods broke free and booted English in the face. Woods followed it up with a Backbreaker for a two count. English planted Woods with a Powerbomb and went for the cover but Woods kicked out at two. Woods dropped English off the second rope and then hit an Elbow Drop for the pinfall victory. After the match, New Day celebrated with pancakes and threw a couple of them at Byron Saxton and Corey Graves.

Woods and English had a solid match tonight. Xavier will have a much tougher challenge when he faces Jinder Mahal in the next round.

Charlotte Told Everyone To Believe In Their Dreams

Natalya, Carmella, Lana and Tamina were interviewed backstage. Natalya stated that before the Riott Squad arrived there was the Welcoming Committee. Natalya added that while imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, there really is nothing better than the real thing.

Natalya, Carmella, Lana and Tamina then battled the Riott Squad on SmackDown. Liv Morgan and Natalya started off the match. Natalya connected with a Clothesline for. a two count and then went for the Sharpshooter but Morgan escaped out of the ring as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Sarah Logan had Carmella in a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring. Carmella broke free with a Jawbreaker and tagged Tamina in. Tamina leveled Logan with a Clothesline and then booted Ruby Riott in the face. Tamina planted Logan with a Samoan Drop and climbed to the top rope. Liv Morgan shoved Tamina off the turnbuckle and Sarah Logan kneed Tamina in the back of the head for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Ruby Riott grabbed a microphone. Ruby said that magic isn’t real just like the people in the crowd. Riott called everyone in the crowd a phony and said that deep down they were all miserable. Ruby stated that the Riott Squad and their success is real. Ruby then announced that the Riott Squad are entering the women’s Royal Rumble match.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte interrupted and came down to the entrance ramp. Charlotte stated that magic is real and that if you find something you are passionate about it can change your life.  Charlotte said that actions have consequences and Naomi and Becky Lynch joined her on the entrance ramp. Charlotte, Becky and Naomi rushed the ring and beatdown the Riott Squad.

I’m used to listening to terrible promos on RAW and SmackDown every week, but this promo was just remarkably bad. Charlotte says everything in one tone and is obviously much better as a heel when it comes to promos. It was as if a robot was telling me to believe in my dreams. Ruby Riott can do a promo, but not when the material is this horrible.

Daniel Bryan Announced The WWE Championship Match For Royal Rumble

shane daniel aj zayn smackdown 1 2 18

Sami Zayn faced AJ Styles in the main event. Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon were all ringside for the match. AJ controlled the match early and connected with a Dropkick that knocked Sami out of the ring. Owens and Shane started arguing and Daniel Bryan got in between them.

Back in the ring, Zayn connected with a kick and followed it up with a Suplex as SmackDown went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, AJ planted Zayn with a Gutbuster for a two count. AJ followed it up with a Neckbreaker and went for the cover but Sami once again kicked out.

Sami battled back and connected with the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Zayn went for the Helluva Kick but AJ reversed it into the Calf Crusher in the middle of the ring. Zayn fought through the pain and reached the bottom rope to break the hold. AJ connected with the Pele Kick and went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Sami got out of the way.

The referee was knocked out of the ring as Styles rolled Zayn up. Owens got in the refs way and prevented the pinfall from taking place. Shane McMahon shoved Owens to the ground and demanded that the referee kick him out. Daniel Bryan then grabbed a microphone and said that if Owens is kicked out, Shane should be kicked out as well.

Owens jumped onto the ring apron and Styles quickly knocked him back down. Zayn then hit the Helluva Kick on the distracted Styles for the pinfall victory. After the match, AJ Styles grabbed a mic and stated that he is tired of Shane and Daniel bickering like children. AJ sarcastically said that he doesn’t care if he had to face Owens and Zayn in a Handicap match. Daniel Bryan then announced that AJ Styles will defend his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Handicap match at Royal Rumble.

Shane McMahon, Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens all arguing outside the ring during the match was annoying. It is hard to complain about a match with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and AJ Styles. However, I’m guessing that there are going to be 14 things going on besides the action in the ring at Royal Rumble and that will take away from the match. The storyline is interesting, but I didn’t enjoy the match at Clash of Champions where Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon kept getting involved. I’m expecting something similar at Royal Rumble now.

Becky Lynch Returns To WWE SmackDown, Superstars React (VIDEOS)

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown saw Becky Lynch return to action after being away to film WWE Studios’ “The Marine 6: Close Quarters” with The Miz and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Becky has been away since November when she was attacked by The Riott Squad making their debuts.

Becky helped Naomi and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair beat down Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott after The Riott Squad defeated Natalya, Carmella and Tamina Snuka in six-woman action.

The former stuntwoman, who did work on movies such as Mindhunter and Dog Eat Dog, had a tryout with WWE back in June of 2014.
