– WWE Diva Tamina Snuka made her in-ring return during the company’s recent European tour. Most recently, Snuka has been working as a bodyguard for Naomi during non-televised WWE live events. There is no definitive word yet as to whether or not they will be using Snuka and Naomi as a pair on television, however WWE generally tends to try matches and angles out on live events before bringing them to television, so it’s definitely a possibility.

– WWE performer and movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently took to Instagram to extend some praise for WWE Diva Eva Marie. “The Great One” wrote the following:

“Thank you to my homegirl Eva Marie for this very cool birthday message. What impresses me most about her is that she has a certain drive and determination that can only come from someone who knows what it’s like to have been down and to have struggled. Eva’s struggle has clearly created a fierce focus in her which is so cool to see and here’s the best part… she’s willin’ to put in the daily hard ass work to achieve and accomplish all of her goals in — and outside of the ring. It’s a real pleasure working with and mentoring this woman. Road is long and we’re just gettin’ started.. Plus I gave my word to our agent @bslater9 that I’ll make sure she always handles her business like a straight up G. #FutureWWEDivaChamp #OD #LetsGetToWork”

Bret Hart Talks About The Status Of The Hart Dungeon, His Father Training Stars

7

Joey Styles interviewed WWE Hall Of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart on what would have been the 100th birthday of his father, the legendary Stu Hart. During the interview, Hart commented on the status of the legendary Hart Dungeon.

When asked who some of the first competitors that his father trained were, Hart said, “Nikolai Volkoff was one of the first guys who came out of The Dungeon. He was a teenager when he got here. He was just a big, strong, heavy kid. I remember talking to Nikolai many times in the basement and watching my dad stretch him. [Former AWA World Heavyweight Champion] Gene Kiniski was also trained by my dad.”

Hart also spoke about the status of The Dungeon itself.

“The house is occupied by three different families,” said Hart. “There are three condominiums in the one dwelling. It’s quite an upscale area. It’s cozy, but I have no desire to see it. It’s not the same house that I remember. The Dungeon doesn’t exist anymore. It’s just a room.”

Chris Jericho & Lance Storm Review Extreme Rules, Jericho Says WWE’s PPV Strategy Is Changing

3

Chris Jericho had Lance Storm as a guest on his latest Talk is Jericho podcast, with the former tag team partners discussing last weekend’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Both of them thought the best match on the card was the New Day vs. Kidd & Cesaro tag title match, followed by Big Show vs. Roman Reigns’ Last Man Standing Match.

Storm said the WWE World Heavyweight Title Match was a joke, since the stipulations didn’t deliver and nobody (including the referee) followed the rules of the RKO being banned.

Jericho said that he thinks WWE’s approach to pay-per-view main events is changing, since the WWE Network doesn’t require them to sell fans on a $60 show each month.

Undertaker’s WWE Deal Expiring Soon, Update On His Future

56

The Undertaker’s current WWE contract expires soon, according to a report at f4wonline.com.

WWE is already advertising the Dead Man for WrestleMania 32, so it looks like we’ll be seeing him at least one more time at WWE’s biggest show of the year. Of course, with WrestleMania 32 taking place from The Undertaker’s home state of Texas, a retirement match and WWE Hall of Fame induction would be fitting for the legendary performer.

WrestleMania 32 takes place on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The assumption is that when his contract expires, he will sign a new deal that is beyond the “Legends” contract that most retired vererans sign.

Roman Reigns ‘WWE 24’ Tonight After RAW, E:60’s ‘WWE: Behind The Curtain’ Preview

4

– ESPN’s E:60 will premiere their “WWE: Behind The Curtain” documentary on ESPN this Tuesday night at 8pm EST. E:60 producer Ben Houser recently spoke with Mike Mooneyham of The Post & Courier about the project:

“Our goal was to tell a story that hadn’t been told about the WWE and their talent development system, NXT. Who are the real-life people behind the characters? How does the WWE create characters? Evaluate performances? At our first behind-the-scenes NXT shoot in Orlando, Fla., at Full Sail University, we got resistance from some of the WWE television folks. No one had ever before been allowed to film rehearsals, backstage during an event, in the locker rooms, or interactions between agents and performers before and after matches.”

“He [Triple H] even allowed some NXT stars to shoot on our hand-held E:60 mini cameras during practice and at home. In the end, we came away with something both unique and compelling, and of the highest quality. Something we’re very much looking forward to sharing with fans.”

– The latest installment of WWE 24 focusing on Roman Reigns premieres tonight after RAW on the WWE Network:

Hogan posted a photo of the two on Twitter this weekend with the caption, “Back in the day when it was straight up brother.”

A fan replied, saying he met Leslie back in March at a signing and Leslie was selling 8×10 photos of Hogan. Hogan told the fan he never signed any 8×10 photos or gave them to Leslie to sell.

Hogan told another Twitter user that this was a “shoot” and he was not working the fans.

King Barrett To Speak On RAW, Rowan Works Heel, Bella Twins Interview

7

– WWE is teasing that 2015 King of the Ring Bad News Barrett will be addressing the WWE Universe on tonight’s episode of RAW from Montreal.

“We haven’t heard from the new King of the Ring on WWE television since that momentous win. Is King Barrett preparing to make a royal decree? Will one of his foes get clobbered by a regal Bull Hammer? What other King of the Ring Tournament fallout can we expect? WWE’s “Game of Thrones” continues on Raw.”

– Erick Rowan worked as a heel at this weekend’s WWE live events. He lost to Sami Zayn in one match and also teamed with The Ascension to lose to Jimmy Uso and The Prime Time Players in six-man action.

– Title Match Wrestling has published an interview with The Bella Twins from WrestleMania 31 week. The Bellas discuss WWE crowd reactions, their love for wine and more:

Jim Ross Blog: Hogan Wrestling At WM32?, Mayweather/Pacquiao, GFW Announcements

1

Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with thoughts on the top news topics floating around this past week. Below are some highlights:

On Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao: “The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was under whelming to say the least. The post match press conference, yes I watched it until well after 2 a.m. Oklahoma time, was even more of an unhinged circus with excuses, outlandish statements and fighters endangering their health as in breaking their arms patting themselves on the back. Manny hallucinated that he thought he won the fight while Floyd gave us an update on his bank account. The fight itself was pedestrian to say the least and never truly created any fire or passion to engage the rich and famous fans there to be seen and obviously not to be heard. Legit fight fans were priced out of the equation but provided TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, etc with plenty of footage and sound bytes to last a week or more.”

On big GFW announcements this week: “Big announcements are coming this week from Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling group about their upcoming tapings to be held at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas this summer. I think that many wrestling fans will be pleasantly surprised at the GFW talent roster and will embrace the travel packages.”

On Hulk Hogan wrestling at WrestleMania 32: “Read where Hulk Hogan said that he was going to wrestle at WM32 in Arlington, Texas. Don’t know if that’s wishful thinking or something that has been internally confirmed. If Hogan is going to have ‘one more match,” WM32 would be the place to do it. It would be a nice, nostalgic, special attraction type of bout that I’m sure many fans would be curious to see.”

Scott Hall Says His Goal is To Someday Work For NXT

5

WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall recently appeared on The Kevin Gill Show and spoke about his interest in working at a trainer in NXT. Hall, who is known for having an incredible mind for the business, says he’s a huge fan of the brand and is more involved in wrestling today than he’s been in a long time.

“I’m a huge fan of NXT,” Hall said. “Believe me, my goal is to someday have a position there. So I’m throwing it out there to whoever is listening, like Triple H.”

“I watch NXT all the time. I’m more involved in wrestling currently, then I have been in a long, long time. Because I have a son who’s on the scene, so now we gotta watch NXT because those are his peers, those are his competitors, those are his co-workers, and maybe his buddy’s down the line. That’s who he’s gonna be doing business with. We watch stuff from Japan, from the UK, so I am immersed.. I feel more immersed in the wrestling scene than ever before. And it feels really cool because Cody is so excited and so young, and I get to vicariously live through him, and say whenever you have a question, I’m here!”

Hall said he was “so happy” to be a part of WrestleMania 31 and to be there at RAW the next night talking to the young guys. As a veteran of the industry, he understands the importance of passing on knowledge to the next generation of wrestlers.

“Ive always felt like, what we do in our industry is help. The guys who know help the guys who don’t know. I always tell any young guys, particularly my son Cody, I’m his biggest fan… I say listen to everybody, then make up your own mind, Do your own thing!”

Hall remembers greats like his friend Curt Hennig, who was part of a generation where they took pride in putting younger guys over.

“To me, Curt (Hennig) is a magical guy. He was so unselfish, and he was influenced by Pat Patterson who is a genius. So a young Curt was around a young Pat Patterson, and these are guys who all come from the school of helping guys.. especially if the guy has a clue! Teach Em! Team Em! Teach Em! If you’re winning, some guys are like ok, I’m gonna kick out on three. The school of Pat Patterson and Curt Hennig and then later me, Shawn Michaels, Marty Jannetty and all these guys were like NO BRO. If you are going over, its your night. Bro, your gonna make a hell of a comeback on me, then beat me with your finish, and I’m gonna lay there for 20 while you stand there and let your music play. If it’s your night, it’s your night. Let the people get what they want!”

He also spoke about his personal demons and the sacrifices in his personal life that he made while he was on the road.

“I didn’t always make a lot of good decisions, but my kids still talk to me, and my kids still love me, so I couldn’t of been that bad of a dad. I know that the trade off of being on the road and being a pro wrestler is that your entertaining a lot of people’s kids, while your kids are sitting at home. I did what I had to do, I was trying to score while I could, when I was young, and then I could retire.”

Jim Ross Blog: Mayweather-Pacquiao, Rousey vs. McMahon, The Rock, More

2

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with thoughts on a number of big topics. Below are some highlights.

On Mayweather-Pacquiao: “Still going with @FloydMayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao but if it works out that Manny wins a split decision or with a shocking KO, a second fight would be in order meaning even MORE money for all involved. That second fight would be a hit in AT&T Stadium which is the home of WrestleMania 32 and the Dallas Cowboys. The chance to sell 100,000+ tickets is too good to not consider. If there is no controversy tonight in Vegas, I will be shocked.”

On Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon: “For those putting down my idea of @RondaRousey vs. Stephanie McMahon for WM32 your logic is a head scratcher to me. I see it as a no brainer and potentially one of the biggest “attraction matches” ever in WWE. The villain stacks the deck and the heroine overcomes. It’s a 10-15 minute presentation bell to bell and it would sell tickets, WWE Network subscriptions and garner amazing media coverage. Yes, I know that UFC head honcho Dana White as said no but is that merely laying the ground work for an arrangement for UFC to cut a deal with WWE to promote UFC PPV’s on the WWE Network at some point in the future? Lots of things can change between now and early 2016.”

On The Rock: “Happy Birthday to @TheRock who has achieved unparalleled success since we signed him to a WWE Contract back in the day and where he was “discovered” by Hollywood. He told me on day one that he was going to be “your top guy” and he wasn’t being arrogant but merely confident and believing in himself. Rock is living proof that good things happen to good people who refuse to finish second. WWE hasn’t had any two talents with more natural chemistry than Rock and Austin who headlined three, WrestleMania events.”

Michelle Beadle Upset At Triple H For Supporting “Serial Abuser” Floyd Mayweather

60

Longtime WWE fan and ESPN personality Michelle Beadle is not a big Triple H fan these days.

Beadle took to Twitter to take “The Game” to task for his support of Floyd Mayweather, who she describes as a “serial abuser.” Beadle is so upset at HHH that she claims she’s no longer going to be a WWE fan.

Beadle tweeted the following this weekend:

Tyson Kidd On Getting Help From Dusty Rhodes, His Team With Cesaro & More

3

Tyson Kidd recently spoke with The Ottawa Sun to promote this coming Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown television taping in Ottawa. Below are some highlights from the interview.

On making it to WWE: “It’s so bizarre, I can’t tell you why, but in my mind I never had a backup plan. I always knew I would make it to WWE. Maybe that was the mindset I needed to get here. I don’t know who the 15-year-old was that thought this could happen. But I know the 35-year-old is happy that it did.”

On his tag team with Cesaro: “I’m not comparing ourselves to them, but rewind the clock to the New Age Outlaws. It was Rockabilly (later, Bad Ass Billy Gunn) vs. the Real Double J (later, Road Dogg Jesse James) and the next thing you know everything clicks. We had a triple threat match with Dolph Ziggler. Go back and watch that match and you’ll see that foreshadowing and the chemistry developing.”

On getting help from Dusty Rhodes: “He’s been a huge influence. He helped me find my voice and he’d critique my body language. He has a very special eye. It’s a lot of little things together. The speaking part was obviously a huge part, but it was all the little things.”

Dolph Ziggler On Having A Chip On His Shoulder, Current WWE Roster & More

3

Dolph Ziggler spoke with the Chronicle Herald to promote this weekend’s WWE live events in Halifax. Below are some highlights from the interview.

On Sheamus and defeating him at Extreme Rules: “He’s someone who’s bullied some of the smaller guys in the past, and he’s bullied me pretty much my whole career. That really made him extra angry. It’s guys like Sheamus who hit hard and talk a big game that make me step up my game and make it that much better.”

On the current WWE roster: “The talent is so great on the (WWE) roster right now. Everybody wants to out-do everyone else. It’s about putting on a great show and giving it your all.”

On why he has a chip on his shoulder: “Everything I’ve ever done has basically been an uphill battle, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s why there’s a chip on my shoulder. That’s why I prove myself to be the best every single night.”

Ryback On Recent WWE Crowd Reactions, NXT Talent Making Main Roster Work Harder

22

WWE Superstar Ryback recently spoke with Slam! Wrestling to promote next Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Below are some highlights from the interview.

On WWE developmental: “It constantly evolves. We are very fortunate to have that developmental system now, with guys from the past, legends of the WWE. Triple H has gone out and brought some of the best wrestlers in the world to NXT and when you’re bringing great wrestlers like that it does nothing but step-up the competition from everyone around it. It’s a very exciting period for WWE right now because what it does is when these guys will come to the main roster, it makes everybody work harder. When you have a competitive environment like that, everybody wins.”

On crowd reactions and the post-WrestleMania fans: “I’ve learned from John Cena early on that as long as the crowd is making noise, let them make noise. The whole point of this is that this is entertainment, this is WWE, you pay for a ticket, you come out, you want to have a good time. Ultimately, we would like to be the ones that dictate the responses, but sometimes, that’s not the case. And if we have a crowd like that that just want to have fun, who wants to do the wave, who wants to chant, let them chant whatever they want to chant.”

“In my head we’re stupid to try. The best thing to do is to have fun and let go and just soak up the moment and just live the moment. I’m at a point in my career where I’m having so much fun. I don’t want to say being in the ring is getting easy, but everything is like a baseball player who sees the ball really slow and who’s on a hot streak. I feel like my mind is working very efficiently in the ring right now and I’m very confident. The crowd was having the time of their life screaming and so was I. I know sometimes, guys get a little upset when they’re in there wrestling and doing moves and the fans chant whatever they want to chant. Well, my thing is just slow down, take it all in, and quit doing so many moves and just listen to the crowd — because you can get control over them again if you know what you’re doing. I love people having fun here. This is why we all do this for. It was a special night after WrestleMania. I’m not saying that’s what we want all the time, but once or twice a year, it’s a really fun time.”

WWE Addresses Daniel Bryan’s Condition And Return Status

42

The official WWE website has an article up looking at the status of Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan.

As noted earlier this week, WWE is no longer advertising Daniel Bryan for any upcoming live events or TV tapings through the end of June.

The article talks about Bryan’s condition, and while they don’t go into specific details on his injury, they do allude to the fact that they are unsure of how long he will be out of action.

Below is an excerpt from the article:

“Perhaps The Authority should, in fact, step in. Bryan himself has proclaimed that a titleholder needs to be a fighting champion, always ready to give the WWE Universe the show they deserve. If the bearded Superstar can’t provide that level of competition due to injury or otherwise, even he would argue it’s only fair that he should step aside for someone else who can.

It’s very possible that this swell of speculation is all for nothing. Certainly, The Beard could emerge on Raw or SmackDown, this week or the next, to clarify that he’s ready to return — be it after a few more weeks of recoup or, better still, that he is good to go now. In that case, there then would remain one more very important question: Should Bryan come back to defend the title, will he be the same athlete that we have come to know?

The article questions whether Bryan will be forced to change his in-ring style, something that’s been widely suggested by industry analysts. As Steve Austin suggested on a recent podcast, the article teases that Bryan could take on more of a brawling style.
