Dana Warrior Thanks Fans For Their Support

10

The Ultimate Warrior’s widow Dana has broken her silence in a heartfelt letter addressed to the WWE Universe.

“It is with an absolutely broken heart I reach out to you. Since the passing of my husband, I have been fortunate enough to insulate my sweet girls and myself from the outside world. In this bubble we have grieved and continue to do so. For a week, I did not allow any television or media to seep through our cocoon. I was told, though, of the outpouring of love for my beloved husband and support for, as he always called us, his Warrior Girls. I can only say thank you.”

She talks about her 20 year relationship with Warrior, the outpour of support from Warrior fan and the WWE family and much more. She also asks that instead of sending flowers to her family, fans  make donations to wounded veterans and their families at Operationfamilyfund.org.

Jim Ross Blog: Heyman & Cesaro, TNA Re-Signing Talent, Ross Report Guests

0

The following are highlights from the latest Jim Ross blog.

On Paul Heyman and Cesaro: “Not sure why as a fan I should dislike Cesaro and it can’t be simply because he’s aligned himself with Paul Heyman. Cesaro simply outwrestles people and is damned impressive while doing it. Some of Cesaro’s matches down in NXT the last year or so were better than anyone on Raw was having at the time.”

On TNA: “Seems like TNA is signing their core talents whose contracts are either up or in need of revising. WWE has seemingly made it clear that they have no interest in Impact talents and will instead reply on their Performance Center for their future stars. However, with Jeff Jarrett preparing to launch another promotion it makes sense for TNA to be proactive.”

On his Ross Report podcast: “Talked to both Cowboy Bill Watts and Tony Schiavone Monday about coming on future Ross Report Podcasts. We’re working on the schedules now. ESPN’s Robert Flores goes live on the Ross Report later today. RoFlo is a life long fan who grew up on Paul Boesch’s Houston Wrestling and has never missed watching a WrestleMania. It’s a great listen and provides a unique prospective from a world class broadcaster especially if any one is interested in that facet of the wrestling biz. You can download my podcasts for free at podcastone.com and via iTunes. I really enjoyed visiting with Robert and think that you will enjoy our conversation.”

Chavo Guerrero Sr. Talks Nancy Grace Controversy, Relationship With Eddie’s Family

    4

The following are highlights of a new Who’s Slamming Who interview with Chavo Guerrero Sr.:

On His Strained Relationship with Eddie’s Family: “We don’t stay in touch that much. They’ve chosen to be like that. Why? I don’t know. I have no idea. Ever since Eddie [Guerrero] passed our relationships have not been there. But I hear [my niece Shaul, aka WWE’s Raquel Diaz] is doing good. I talk to her once in a while. No, I have not been following her career. The main reason being that I didn’t teach her. If you want to be the best [wrestler], you [should] come to a Guerrero. Especially if you’re a Guerrero. But she had that opportunity to go to WWE. I guess she’s doing good. She’s still got a contract. That’s all good. That’s as much as I can say about my niece.”

On the Nancy Grace / Warrior Controversy: “She did not know the facts. It’s not only in wrestling, [but] it’s in a lot of other stuff. I stopped listening to her and never really enjoyed her. She’s just not my type of journalist. Not only in wrestling, [but] many other subjects she speaks out of turn. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Let’s put it this way. She doesn’t research to know what she’s talking about. She just says things out of [context]. She’s an idiot. She’s an imbecile. It’s not because she said something about wrestling. Sure, some of us have dealt with steroids … The point was not about steroids. The point was that all these wrestlers that have not died from steroids were put in the same category. That’s just not fair to the families.”

On TNA, ROH, and Other WWE Competitors: “The only company really out there is WWE. They’re #1. If you don’t want to work for them [then] you’re a fool. We’re still not receiving what we should as professional athletes. As much money as WWE makes, it’s by far the best-paid company out there, unless you’ve got some sort of a deal in Japan. And those are few and far between, and more and more [rare] every day.”

Magnus Talks About Dropping The TNA World Heavyweight Title

    5

Former TNA Champion Magnus was a recent guest on Ring Rust Radio, hosted by Donald Wood. Here’s what he said about dropping the title to Eric Young on last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling:

“It’s a different story once you’ve tasted the success of being Champion. It doesn’t make you want it any less; if anything it just makes you want it even more. I’m looking forward to locking up with EY again. I know a lot of people were surprised at the outcome but it’s nice to be able to surprise people sometimes. I think that the viewing figures all through my reign as champion can kind of point to the fact that people are just interested in what we’re doing now and that it’s fresh and exciting, and if I can be a small part in that as the Champion, then great. Honestly yeah, it’s never fun to lose a championship but, at the same time, this is a business and we’re in this to generate interest in what we’re doing. If we can do some good business then that’s what it’s all about and that’s a very exciting thing and I’m looking forward to doing more.”

“With EY, he’s a great competitor and in a lot of ways he has had to wait his turn and has gotten the crappy end of the stick many, many times over the years and through different regimes in this company. I was glad he was able to be portrayed in the right light and was able to get where he needs to be. I’m sure there has been a lot of criticism against me for many things, like there is against anyone especially when they become a top guy, but I think one thing that no one can deny is that while I’ve been on top anyone who’s been in there with me has come out looking better on the other end.”

Jim Ross Rants About The State Of Heels In WWE

    31

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross went on a rant on Monday about the way heel characters are booked these days:

Photos From Eve Torres & Rener Gracie’s Wedding

    14

Former WWE Diva Eve Torres and Rener Gracie of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy were married on Sunday in Santa-Barbara, California.

Prior to the ceremony, t he 3-time Divas Champion wrote on her official website, that she “cannot even put in to words how excited” she was:

“Can you believe it?! The big day has finally arrived! I’m getting married!

I cannot even put in to words how excited I am! Today, in front of so many wonderful friends and family, I get to face the man of my dreams, and tell everyone how much I love him and at last, marry him. I could not feel more blessed.

But there’s no way I could walk up that aisle without firstly sending my beautiful believers a message of love and gratitude. Thank you so, so much for your unswerving support, without which, I wouldn’t be where I am today… and today of all days, I’m pretty psyched to be standing where I’m standing! I can’t wait to carry on the journey with you all as I start this super exciting new chapter.

A big, big thank you again guys!

See you soon believers, by which point… I will be Mrs. Gracie”
