DDP on WWE’s Stalker Gimmick: ‘I Should Have Walked Away’

0

DDP’s WWE debut was one of the most controversial in wrestling history. Instead of being presented as a top WCW star, he was booked as The Undertaker’s wife’s stalker. Looking back, DDP regrets not fighting it.

“If I had been in WCW, I would have fought it. But I wanted to be a team player in WWE, so I went with it,” he admitted on Six Feet Under.

DDP explained that he had pitched an entirely different idea—The People’s Champion vs. The People’s Champion—where he would challenge The Rock.

“I had this whole vision: lights go out, everyone thinks it’s Jericho, and then boom—‘Who’s the real People’s Champion?’ But I let them talk me out of it,” he said.

Instead, he found himself stuck in a storyline that didn’t make sense.

“I should have said, ‘Are you looking at my wife? She’s one of the most beautiful women in the world. You think I’d stalk Undertaker’s wife?’”

The angle flopped, and DDP’s WWE career never recovered. But he took an important lesson from it.

“That was the first time I let someone talk me out of my gut instinct, and I learned a big lesson from it.”

DDP Reveals Why He Walked Away from Half a Million Dollars

0

When WCW was bought by WWE in 2001, many wrestlers chose to sit out the remainder of their lucrative contracts. But not Diamond Dallas Page. On Six Feet Under, DDP revealed he left $487,000 on the table to jump to WWE early—against the advice of Dusty Rhodes.

“Dusty told me, ‘Don’t do it. Take the money.’ But I was 45, my body was breaking down, and I didn’t have time to sit around,” DDP said.

At the time, top WCW stars like Kevin Nash and Goldberg had contracts that allowed them to be paid in full while staying home. WWE offered them a fraction of that to start working immediately, and most declined.

“I could have sat at home, done nothing, and still made nearly half a million dollars,” he admitted. “But I wasn’t 35 anymore. I wasn’t even 40. If I sat out for another year, my window might’ve closed.”

DDP explained that while money was important, he had a deep love for wrestling that made the decision easy.

“Kevin Nash is one of the smartest businessmen in wrestling history. He told me, ‘Dude, take the money.’ And if I listened to him, I probably would’ve had a couple million more in my account today. But I had to bet on myself.”

Unfortunately, DDP’s WWE run didn’t go as planned. Despite how things unfolded, the master of the Diamond Cutter wouldn’t change a thing.

“Looking back, would I make the same choice? Hell yeah. Because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have learned the lessons that made me who I am today.”

DDP Claims Responsibility For Scott Hall’s Career-Changing Makeover

0

Before Scott Hall became the legendary Razor Ramon, he was struggling to find his place in the wrestling world. But thanks to Diamond Dallas Page, his entire look and career trajectory changed forever.

On Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, DDP shared the untold story of how he helped Hall completely reinvent himself.

“Scott said, ‘I’ve had this mustache since I was 15!’ And I said, ‘Another reason to shave it!’” DDP recalled with a laugh.

Hall had returned from a run in Germany, unsure of his next move. DDP saw potential in him but knew he needed a new look. That’s when inspiration struck.

“I was watching MTV and George Michael came on. He had this patent leather outfit, that brush-cut beard, that five o’clock shadow. I thought, ‘That’s a smaller version of Scott Hall!’”

DDP immediately called Hall at 2 a.m. to pitch the idea.

“I said, ‘Dude, walk outside right now. I got an idea. You gotta shave the mustache.’ He goes, ‘What?!’ I said, ‘You have to shave it and grow out a five o’clock shadow. Trust me, this is gonna work.’”

Reluctantly, Hall agreed. But it wasn’t just the facial hair—DDP had a full makeover planned.

“I dyed his hair jet black, gave him a full-length lambskin coat, baggy pants, tank top, sunglasses—told him not to take them off. When we walked into WCW, nobody recognized him.”

The final piece of the puzzle? The infamous toothpick.

“We were at Waffle House, and I grabbed a toothpick. I said, ‘At the end of every promo, we both flick these into the camera.’ Right in the middle of talking, mine falls out of my mouth. I was pissed, but Scott? He nailed it. And that became his thing.”

Hall later took that entire persona to WWE, where it evolved into Razor Ramon. Looking back, DDP takes pride in seeing how one simple idea changed a career.

“Scott didn’t drink back then, but he sure as hell loved to roll a joint and quote Scarface. That was just him naturally. He was already Razor before WWE even knew it.”

Epic WWE Wedding Entrance: Newlyweds ‘YEET’ Into Married Life

0

A wedding reception recently took an electrifying turn when newlyweds made their grand entrance to WWE Superstar Jey Uso’s “Main Event Ish” theme song. As the iconic “YEET” catchphrase played, guests raised their phone lights in the darkened reception hall, just like a WWE crowd.

The wedding party preceded the couple in pairs, building anticipation. When the DJ finally announced the newlyweds, the room erupted with guests performing Jey Uso’s signature “”YEET handwave” gesture.

TikTok user @playwithjambo shared the video with the caption,

“my cousin and his wife walked into their wedding reception to jey uso’s intro and the entire reception yeeted for them ?”

Elektra Lopez Reportedly in Talks to Join TNA Wrestling After WWE Release

0

Elektra Lopez, recently released from WWE in February 2025, may soon find a new home in TNA Wrestling. The former NXT competitor was spotted backstage at TNA’s iMPACT tapings on February 21 at Full Sail University, fueling speculation about her next move.

According to Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass reporter Chris Featherstone, TNA Wrestling is in active discussions with Lopez, with sources indicating a “very high interest” in signing her once her 90-day non-compete clause expires.

While other promotions have reportedly shown interest in acquiring Lopez, she appears to be leaning toward TNA. Given the strengthening partnership between WWE NXT and TNA, a move to the promotion could be a natural transition.

Lopez’s WWE Journey and Potential Future in TNA

Lopez first appeared in WWE in 2018, returned in 2019, and officially signed with the company in 2021, becoming a key figure in NXT. With her WWE chapter recently closing, TNA could offer a fresh opportunity for her wrestling career.

If finalized, Lopez’s signing would further bolster TNA’s growing roster while continuing the talent exchanges between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling.

WWE Raw Preview (2/24): CM Punk and Ripley Return, 2 Championship Matches

0

Tonight, February 24, 2025, WWE Raw is set to deliver an exciting show live from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, airing at 8 PM ET on Netflix. With the Elimination Chamber event looming, here’s what’s on tap based on the latest announcements and developments:

Matches

  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair and Naomi will defend their titles against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. This match stems from a heated rivalry, sparked by video evidence linking Morgan and Rodriguez to an attack on Jade Cargill. The personal stakes are high, and a title change could shake up the women’s division heading into WrestleMania season.
  • WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Lyra Valkyria puts her newly won title on the line against Dakota Kai, who earned her shot by defeating Ivy Nile last week. Valkyria beat Kai in the tournament final to claim the inaugural championship, so this rematch promises to be a fierce battle as Kai looks to reclaim her momentum.
  • Triple Threat Match: Penta vs. Ludwig Kaiser vs. Pete Dunne: After a chaotic brawl last week, these three hard-hitting competitors will collide in a triple threat match. It’s a chance for each to prove their dominance, with no alliances likely to hold in this unpredictable showdown.
  • The New Day vs. LWO: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day take on Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of LWO. This feud intensified after The New Day’s brutal attack on Rey Mysterio, prompting LWO to seek retribution. Expect a fast-paced, emotionally charged tag team clash.

Segments

  • CM Punk, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, and Logan Paul Appear: Just days before they step into the Elimination Chamber, these three larger-than-life personalities are slated to be in the building. Expect some intense verbal sparring and maybe even a physical preview of what’s to come, given their history of backing up their egos in the ring.
  • Rhea Ripley’s Message: Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley returns with a message for IYO SKY ahead of their anticipated title match next week. After SKY’s warning last week, this segment could set the tone for their showdown.

What Else to Expect

  • Jade Cargill Return Rumors: There’s chatter about Jade Cargill making a comeback after her recent assault, possibly confronting Belair and Naomi or Morgan and Rodriguez to settle the score.
  • Gunther Buzz: The World Heavyweight Champion is rumored to appear, likely addressing his ongoing tension with Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso. Their heated exchanges have been a highlight, and tonight could escalate their road to WrestleMania.

With Elimination Chamber qualifiers wrapped up last week, it’s full speed ahead to Saturday’s premium live event from Toronto!

Drew McIntyre Takes Aim At Cody Rhodes, LA Knight At Topps Rip Night

0

Drew McIntyre was a part of WWE’s Topps Rip Night in Jersey City, but the Scottish Warrior had more than trading cards on his mind. When McIntyre pulled a Cody Rhodes card from a pack, he warned the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion “I’m coming for you.” McIntyre will be a part of the Men’s Elimination Chamber match which will determine Rhodes’ challenger for WrestleMania 41 in April.

McIntyre later pulled a card featuring LA Knight, an individual the three-time former WWE World Champion has had issues with as of late. Referring to their issues stemming from the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match, McIntyre shared that “Alright, let’s do the bit. My good buddy, LA Knight. See, I got your stuff in for you.”

McIntyre was reportedly left furious as Knight’s attempts to ‘get his stuff in’ affected Drew’s role in the Rumble, including his elimination. While these issues have seemingly simmered down, with the matter even being addressed on SmackDown, WWE are reportedly considering ditching a McIntyre Vs. Damian Priest feud, another idea McIntyre has taken issue with.

With McIntyre not a favorite to win the Elimination Chamber match, questions remain as to what his role at WrestleMania 41 will look like. Though WWE has yet to confirm anything, many believe a showdown with Knight is coming, especially after his comments this week.

Matt Hardy Shares Issue With AEW’s Use Of Talent: “It Drives Me Nuts!”

0

On his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt looked at the recent push of Harley Cameron, who despite her popularity, came up short against Mercedes Moné at Grand Slam: Australia. Hardy argued that even if Cameron isn’t on Mone’s level when it comes to in-ring wrestling ability, that shouldn’t have been a factor in the event’s booking.

“Who cares? Harley doesn’t match her in the ring. That’s irrelevant.”

Hardy shared his issue with Tony Khan’s mantra that AEW is ‘Where the best wrestle.’ While this is some effective promoting of the company, Hardy believes that Khan’s focus on in-ring work is having a negative impact on popular acts on the roster who may not be the ‘best’ in the ring.

“It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t match up. It drives me nuts man. If you are over (as a) character, if people are interested, it’s gonna help sell tickets, it’s gonna move merch, and someone that’s popular, utilize them.”

While Cameron may still become AEW TBS Champion, many believe the promotion’s ideal window has passed, and that a victory in her native Australia should have happened. The match in Brisbane marked Cameron’s first time competing for any championship in AEW, with fans hoping it is not her last.

As for Hardy, he will be a part of the upcoming WWE NXT, in a historic return for both himself and Jeff. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Matt Hardy and his views on AEW and the wider wrestling world.

Sami Zayn On How Triple H’s Takeover Has Changed His Relationship With WWE Creative

0

Sami Zayn has revealed how his relationship with WWE creative has changed over the years.

Whether it’s giving a celebrity like Johnny Knoxville a good match or putting over young stars like Bron Breakker, Zayn is a name that WWE officials always seem to rely on more than most veteran talents on the roster.

During a recent interview with Flamesnation, the Underdog from The Underground was asked if the creative ever hear no from him for anything they throw at him. Sami Zayn explained that they don’t hear no but they always hear different ideas:

“I don’t think they hear no, but they hear ideas, that’s for sure. They hear a lot of them. I think I’ve been pretty fortunate over the years to have a pretty decent success rate to where it’s given me a certain amount of equity with them that my ideas will be heard. And again, I’ll also give a little bit of credit to the sort of change in creative and the creative shift over the years.

Last couple of years under Triple H, but even a little bit prior to that, just with my relationship with the creative team to where just my voice feels heard. They’re not gonna do everything I suggest but they don’t look at it like ‘Gosh, these wrestlers giving us these ideas.’ Some wrestlers might give bad ideas. I hope I’m not throwing anything bad out there.”

Privilege That’s Earned Over Time: Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn explained that the equity he has built with the creative over the years has allowed the two parties to be more communicative. His positive reputation is one of the reasons why the former IC Champion is always factored into plans:

“So I’ll throw a lot out there and I really appreciate having a voice that’s heard and being met or if an idea doesn’t work, they kind of explain why and ‘Hey we want to do this idea instead’ or whatever and you just go with it.

But even that’s sort of like a privilege that’s earned over time. Because they don’t write everybody into stories all the time. I feel like over the last 4-5 years I’ve been consistently written into a story at all times. Then it’s incumbent on me to just make it work. So that I don’t know, that’s not lost on me.”

Rhea Ripley Shares Concern Over Fans Showing Up At Her House

0

Rhea Ripley has cautioned fans to never send fan mail or gifts to her private residence as such as an act is “100% not ok.” On X, fka Twitter, the Australian Superstar made herself perfectly clear.

Ripley didn’t share whether a recent incident had prompted her to make this post, though many believe this to be the case. Ripley’s statement about fans comes after several wrestlers have either addressed, or fallen victim to, fans who cross the line.

In January 2025, WWE’s Asuka shared that fans had attempted to interfere in her private life, a matter that had forced the Japanese wrestler to contact the police. Asuka made clear she rejects any romantic advances fans may make at her, but her statement sadly went ignored by some.

Earlier this month, Michelle McCool shared her experience of dealing with harrassment at airports that was common during her WWE tenure. McCool, soon to be a WWE Hall of Famer, shared that “people just don’t have boundaries,” and spoke about being chased by fans even when with her kids.

Sonya Deville was the victim of an attempted kidnapping in 2020, which resulted in the ex-WWE Superstar taking months away from WWE to recover. More recently, Deville advocated for stricter stalking laws as for many victims, the law doesn’t go far enough to protect them and punish the criminals.

The reigning Women’s World Champion, Ripley will put her title on the line against IYO SKY during the March 3, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. With a huge title match and WrestleMania 41 drawing closer, Ripley seeks to focus on her WWE career, and not on fans potentially invading her private life.

Unlikely Name To Use ‘Kaylx’ Moniker After Recent Trademark Filing

0

WWE recently filed a trademark for Kaylx, leading WWE fans to believe that Sol Ruca (real name Calyx Harmony Hampton) was set to undergo a name change. Now Fightful Select reports that the new name will instead be for WWE referee Jessika Carr.

Though giving a referee an in-ring name may seem odd, there’s a reason behind WWE’s plans. Carr competed under a mask at recent WWE Evolve tapings, the report adds. It is believed that she will work as Kaylx on the program, which is set to premiere in March 2025.

Carr has established herself in WWE as a referee capable of officiating some huge matches, but she does have prior in-ring experience. Before joining WWE in 2017, Carr competed as Kennadi Brink, Jessie Kaye, and J.K. Kennadi in various promotions including Shine, and Ring of Honor, and SHIMMER. In January 2017, Carr lost a squash match to Nikki Cross as part of WWE NXT before Carr signed with WWE as an official.

WWE Evolve will serve as the promotion’s latest attempt to develop talent, but by no means is it the only one. Other recruitment and development efforts include:

As for Carr, fans are excited to see how she fares as an in-ring talent after years as a referee. Hopefully Kaylx will observe the rules when she competes for WWE Evolve, or face the wrath of one of Carr’s colleagues.

Ex-WWE ECW Champion Returning to Wrestling After 9-Year Hiatus

0

A former WWE Superstar who held both the ECW Championship and Intercontinental Championship, is set to make his return after close to a decade out of the ring. On his YouTube channel, Ezekiel Jackson shared that he will be compering for FWE in North Carolina on March 15. In the video, Jackson reflected on how his full-time career ended.

“I keep asking myself if I ended my career the way I wanted to, and for the most part, I didn’t. So, I’ve always had that little chip on my shoulder, wanting to finish things on my terms. I’ve also had a bucket list of people I’d love to compete against, so we’re looking into scheduling a few things.

Jackson is accepting bookings and the ex-Superstar, who remains “big as hell” is ready to have some fun. Despite his impressive physique, Jackson acknoweldged the importance of getting into “ring shape,” and shared his training strategy.

I’m adding more cardio-based workouts, incorporating some rowing, and I’ll be getting in the ring a few times this week and in the coming weeks.”

Jackson, the final holder of the WWE ECW Championship, last competed in October 2015 as part of an event for the Germany-based wXw promotion. At the time, it was shared that this marked the end of Jackson’s in-ring career. Now fans can look forward to seeing the former WWE and TNA star back in the ring as he prepares to end his career on his own terms.

Becky Lynch Isn’t Sure What Her Wrestling Future Looks Like

0

Fans are eager to see Becky Lynch back in the ring, but The Man isn’t sure just how much longer her career as a wrestler will last. While speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Becky Lynch was asked that how long she will continue in the ring, and shared that she doesn’t know what her future looks like.

Life has surprised me in wonderful ways recently. You can make all these plans, but sometimes things don’t go the way you intended. In the long run, though, something else works out—something even better than you expected. And honestly, I feel like that’s been the story of my entire career.

Lynch hasn’t competed for WWE since the May 27, 2024, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, where she lost a steel cage match to then-Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Lynch’s contract with WWE would expire the next month, making her a free agent for the first time in over a decade.

Becky Lynch has since re-signed with WWE though the Man has yet to return on the Road to WrestleMania 41 as many had expected. With WWE’s biggest event (a show Lynch has headlined,) mere weeks away, fans are eager to see Lynch back, but she is well-aware that life may have other plans.

The Hardys’ WWE NXT Return Sets Historic New Record

0

The Hardys are set to make their in-ring return to WWE television on the February 25 episode of NXT, marking their first tag team match in the company since 2019. The TNA World Tag Team Champions accepted a challenge from Tavion Heights and Myles Borne of the No Quarter Catch Crew, setting up a must-see showdown.

Beyond their long-awaited return, Matt Hardy will achieve a historic milestone. His appearance on NXT will set a new record for the longest gap between matches in the brand’s history. Hardy last competed on the very first season of NXT in March 2010, meaning his upcoming match marks a 15-year hiatus from the brand. This surpasses Carlito’s previous record of 13 years and nine months between NXT appearances.

The Hardys’ return to WWE adds another chapter to their storied careers, bringing veteran experience to the NXT tag team division. Their match against the rising stars of No Quarter Catch Crew will be a clash of generations, giving fans an exciting mix of nostalgia and fresh competition.

  • Ricky Saints teams with Je’Von Evans to take on Ethan Page and Wes Lee

Logan Paul Rules Out Using High-Risk Move Again

0

Logan Paul has revealed that he will no longer be performing a specific move in WWE, despite recently adding it to his in-ring arsenal.

On February 10, Paul competed in his first-ever match on WWE Raw, securing a victory over Rey Mysterio to qualify for the men’s Elimination Chamber match on March 1. During the bout, he debuted several new moves, including a finisher dubbed the “Paulverizer” by commentator Pat McAfee, which he used to pin the WWE Hall of Famer.

Paul also executed the Moonsault & Battery, a maneuver popularized by Shane Mercer. The move drew an enthusiastic reaction from both the crowd and the commentary team, with Michael Cole giving Mercer a shoutout during the broadcast. However, despite its impact, Paul has decided to retire the move immediately.

Sharing a clip of the move on Instagram, Paul captioned it,

“Never doing that again.”

Following his victory, Paul will appear on the February 24 edition of Monday Night Raw, where he joins CM Punk and Seth Rollins, both of whom have also secured spots in the Elimination Chamber match.

Ryan Nemeth Names CM Punk, Tony Khan & AEW In Assault Lawsuit

0

Ryan Nemeth has filed a lawsuit against AEW, Tony Khan, and CM Punk, in the latest chapter of the Best in the World’s controversial time with the promotion. Nemeth’s lawsuit was filed on February 14 in California. The complaint is for assault, breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing and intentional interference with prospective advantage.

This isn’t the first time Nemeth has taken aim at Punk and his AEW tenure. In December 2024, it was reported that Nemeth had alleged the use of threats and harrasment in AEW which involved Punk. Fightful reported at the time that Nemeth had detailed these issues in a complaint dated September 12, and provided emails, texts, and call logs as evidence.

In the lawsuit, Nemeth makes a series of startling claims, including that Punk assaulted the Young Bucks “in early 2023.” This would come after the altercation at All Out 2022 that resulted in Punk, the Bucks, and others being suspended.

Nemeth alleges that in April 2023, he contacted AEW executives, concerned that Punk would return from suspension to assault him. He adds that despite this, AEW didn’t hesitate in bringing Punk back. Nemeth alleges that on June 21, 2023, Punk assaulted him, despite Nemeth’s efforts to de-escalate the situation.

Punk faced no punishment for assaulting Nemeth, the lawsuit adds, while Ryan feared being “benched” by AEW. The promotion’s attorneys assured Nemeth that this would not be the case, but it would be another two months before he was used in any capacity.

Nemeth adds that he learned that Punk had insisted that he be ‘benched,’ despite not having done anything wrong. The suit adds that when Nemeth was booked to return in August, Punk spotted him and fired off a text. Nemeth was informed shortly after that he would not be used.

When Tony Khan fired CM Punk in September 2023, the AEW President blameed Nemeth, the suitn adds. It is claimed that Khan and Punk have embarked upon a campaign to “blackball” Nemeth from professional wrestling. Khan has “used his significant resources to make sure that Nemeth can never again make a living in wrestling” the lawsuit adds.

Punk returned to WWE in November 2023, where his conduct has reportedly been exemplarly. While Punk is focused on this weekend’s Men’s Elimination Chamber and a potential title match at WrestleMania 41, the issues stemming from Punk’s AEW tenure continue to haunt the Chicago-Made Superstar.

Tiffany Stratton & Sami Zayn Meet WWE Fans During 2025 Topps Rip Night (VIDEO)

0

I had no idea how big or fun the world of WWE cards was until it hit home while attending Topps Rip Night at Layton Sports Cards in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Fanatics Collectibles’ Topps Rip Night welcomed sports trading card and memorabilia hobbyists, where more than 70,000 fans and collectors visit more than 600 hobby shops across 16 countries around the world. WWE superstars joined other pro athletes as they met and interacted with fans, took part in Q&As and ripped open some packs to give away. It gave me the vibe of a Free Comic Book Day, but upped a notch. Not to mention free food and drink!

Another thing I love about Rip Night festivities is it gives an opportunity for owners like Layton Sports Cards’ Rich and Sara Layton to give their store business a shot in the arm. The couple just opened this particular space as it stands in December, so a nice way to create awareness.

First, it was “Tiffy Time” as WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton hopped off a plane from SmackDown the night before in New Orleans to Central Florida to meet some of her biggest admirers. Much like a WWE show, there were fans in Stratton shirts and holding signs. One South Carolina couple even came after finding out about the event while in town for a cruise. Stratton got to work opening up packs and revealing the contents.

The champ was learning about things like gold refractor and parallel meant, She got a kick out of pulling her own card and “Trishy Time” Trish Stratus. A fun moment came when Rich asked who may have a “Tiffy Time” card within their packs. Without much luck, he then asked for her favorite and Elimination Chamber tag partner Stratus card. A fan yelled out, “Hey Tiffany, what do you think about Charlotte Flair?” She said, “If you have that, you can throw it on the ground and stomp on it.” He did it! Stratton then responded with, “He’s the winner right there.” The attendee got rewarded with some additional packs.

Next up was Sami Zayn, who reminisce about collecting hockey cards. Zayne brings such a welcoming presence I can liken to that of Mick Foley. Just a regular guy in an extraordinary profession. Fans also came with Sami signs with one wearing a classic El Generico shirt. I wonder what happened to that guy? Perhaps, still retired running an orphanage in a Mexican village.

After opening all the cards, Zayn offered to personally hand out the cards to those in the crowd. He also took time to take photos and autographs with literally anyone who asked. The staff was amazed how he dedicated so much extra time to doing something he wasn’t obligated to do.Just another reason why Zayn has such a deep-rooted connection to his fanbase.

Along Stratton and Zayn, later in the evening, Orlando Magic’s Anthony Black came for a visit. Elsewhere in Central Florida, Stratton’s and Zayn’s future opponents Charlotte Flair and Kevin Owens were across town for a similar event at Game Time Cardz in Winter Park.

Victoria Reflects On Highs & Pressure Of WWE Women’s Title Glory

0

Former WWE Superstar Victoria recently sat down with ‘From the Vault’ to reflect on her second Women’s Championship victory in February 2004. Victoria recalled being in tears after the match and reflected on what winning any championship in wrestling means.

“Every time you win the championship, you are getting a pat on the back and there’s a lot of pressure on you, but they know you can do it. It was truly amazing.”

Though Victoria walked into the match alone in 2004, she often worked with Stevie Richards during her WWE tenure. Victoria shared that Richards was often ready to help her, both on and off-screen.

“Stevie and I, amazing. He always gave me a pep talk in the backstage cuz I always self doubt. I’m just really hard on myself, and he always just looked me in the face. ‘You got this, you got this, you got this.'”

Victoria’s second reign with the gold, her first as a babyface, would see her defend at WrestleMania 20. Not only did she retain the gold at WWE’s biggest annual event, inside the iconic Madison Square Garden, but as a result of losing, Molly Holly had her head shaved.

Victoria recently joined WWE under a Legends Deal, leaving fans excited at seeing more from the veteran. Whatever comes, Victoria will never forget the profound effect that becoming WWE Women’s Champion had on her.

Miro Battles Ex-WWE Champion In First Post-AEW Match

0

Miro has finished his time with AEW and the former TNT Champion has made a successful return to the ring after over a year on the shelf. During a Qatar Pro Wrestling event held on February 22nd in Doha, Miro took on fellow WWE and League of Nations alum Alberto El Patron.

This marked Miro’s first match since his bout against Andrade El Idolo at the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30, 2023. Despite a 14-month absence from the ring, Miro proved he could still compete at a high level.

Miro joined AEW in 2020 and despite a strong initial push, would become less utilized from 2022 until the end of his tenure. In late 2024, it was shared that Miro had requested his release, but that his request was turned down. Miro was nevertheless let go in early 2025 alongside Malakai Black and Ricky Starks, the latter of whom has joined WWE NXT as Ricky Saints.

Whether Miro returns to WWE remains to be seen, though his ex-wife CJ Perry has teased Miro taking on Andrade, another AEW alum who’s since returned to WWE. Whatever’s next for the Bulgarian, Miro is proving that his absence from the ring hasn’t dulled his skills.

Sami Zayn Reveals How He Felt Taking The Package Piledriver After So Long

0

Sami Zayn has revealed how he felt taking the package piledriver from Kevin Owens again.

KO and Sami are no strangers to the move, as they used it a lot during their time in the indies. In WWE however, it had been banned for a long time due to its high risk. Owens has brought it back on TV recently since turning heel and both Zayn and Cody Rhodes have been on the receiving end of it in recent weeks.

The Ultimate Underdog was asked how he felt taking the move after so long during his interview with FN Barn Burner. The 40-year-old claimed that he felt things that he has never felt before when Owens delivered one to him during the February 3 episode of Raw:

“Oh my god. Yeah, different ball game. I felt things in my spine that I’d never felt taking that move. And you know, I used to take that move a lot in my early 20s. My entire 20s, actually, was just me taking that move pretty much. [It] felt very different at 40, no question.”

It’s Time To Solve It: Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn was also asked if his relationship with Kevin Owens was damaged beyond repair or they could become friends again in the future. The former IC Champion noted that after doing this dance for many years with his real-life best friend, he’s learned to never say never:

“Look I’ve said before no and I’ve been wrong. So I don’t know, maybe I’m just being emotional when I’m saying ‘No no, this is it, this is it for real.’ and you know maybe 3-4 years pass, and you kind of start to overlook things. It’s just kind of how life is I feel. I don’t know, never say never. I’ve learned that by now. But I don’t know. Right now we’ve got an issue and it’s time to solve it.”

15 years after their first unsanctioned match at ROH Final Battle 2010, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be going to war once again under the stipulation at the upcoming Elimination Chamber: Toronto event on March 1.

Mick Foley on WWE’s Shift from Attitude Era Programming

0

It’s been over 2 decades since the end of The Attitude Era but there are many fans who still begrudge WWE for moving away from the mature themes and eccentric programming of the time. Wrestling legend Mick Foley, however, believes that it happened for a good reason.

The Wrestling veteran recently had an interview with SportingTalk to promote his 40 years of Mick Foley show. During the interview, he was asked about the evolution of WWE and things being toned down since his active years.

The WWE Hall of Famer explained that in some ways the matches today are a lot better than past and there is a different kind of danger involved because of how fast-paced some of the moves are. He also discussed how the change was required for WWE to survive because even at the height of the Attitude Era they couldn’t get sponsors:

“When you say toned down, I think the matches are better on a whole than they’ve ever been. I see danger in a different way. I see things like the fast moves coming off the ropes are things that can hurt ligaments and things like that. So these really quick moves that require lightning speed and strength, they’re dangerous for your joints and your ligaments.

But also, I know how frustrated we were in the attitude era that our ratings were through the roof and we couldn’t get sponsors. Like nobody would touch us. So I definitely understand why WWE moved in the direction they did. They made it more accessible to people not only in United States but around the world. So worldwide wrestling and WWE has never been more popular. And then I think some of the superstars are making a lot of money. And they should.”

I Thought I Had 18 Months Shelf Life: Mick Foley

When asked if he felt he was undervalued or underpaid during his time in WWE, Mick Foley discussed how things could have gone either way had he come up in a different era. The former champion noted that he feels lucky that people remember him after all these years:

“Well, I’m never going to begrudge anybody who gets what they deserve. Yeah, maybe if I’d come along in a different time. But if I’d come along at a different time, maybe I wouldn’t have been utilized as well. I was kind of an outside-the-box type of wrestler and I was lucky that when I got to WWE the powers would be saw something in me and used me really well.

But I’m lucky that I can come to Manchester and have people waiting in line to see me. I mean I haven’t wrestled full time in 25 years. I seriously thought I had a 18-month shelf life before everyone forgot about me. You would have told me that I’d be making more money for a signing in Manchester than I did main eventing Madison Square Garden. I would have thought you were crazy.”

Fans Predict WWE NXT Star Name Change After Trademark Filing

0

In WWE NXT, Sol Ruca has proven to be a star on the rise, but now the popular young Superstar could be waiting for a significant name change. Recently, WWE filed a trademark for Kaylx with the USPTO, a name that conveniently matches Sol Ruca’s real name of Calyx Hampton. On X, fans speculated that Ruca will soon be on the receiving end of a name change.

In recent weeks, Ruca has been teaming with Zaria, who has been making waves since her arrival in WWE NXT in late 2024. After Ruca recently introduced Zaria to her surfing lifestyle, Zaria has teased introducing Ruca to her way of life, which fans believe could lead to a name change.

Whatever name Sol Ruca goes by in WWE, the young star has been off to a promising start. Though she is yet to hold gold, Ruca has challenged for the NXT Women’s and NXT Women’s North American Championship. In September 2024, Ruca challenged then-TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, becoming the first NXT talent to challenge for the title.

WWE often changes the name of talent, just ask the recently-debuted Ricky Saints, and now many expect Ruca to receive a change, ironically to something closer to her real name. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Sol Ruca, and her future in WWE, whatever she is called.

NXT Vs. TNA Title-For-Title Match Set For Upcoming Event (Spoilers)

0

On the latest WWE NXT, TNA X-Division Champion Moose confronted Oba Femi, and the reigning NXT Champion returned the favor during the latest episode of Impact. Femi will be in six-man-tag action on next week’s Impact, pitting the Ruler and the Hardys against The System, but a much bigger match has now been confirmed.

During the latest tapings of Impact, for an episode set to air on March 6, Femi was again part of the show, but his moment was cut short when Moose and the System stormed the ring. Both Moose and Femi held up their titles, and a winner-takes-all match has been set for the pair. That showdown will come at NXT Roadblock on March 11, from The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Regardless of who wins, this match will prove to be historic. Since TNA and WWE NXT began partnering in 2024, no wrestler has won a championship from the other show. That will change soon enough, as in addition to the winner of this match, Cora Jade hopes to become TNA Knockouts World Champion at Sacrifice.

As for whether it’ll be Moose or Femi who become a double champion, time will tell. One thing for certain though, is that NXT Roadblock in the Theatre at MSG will be the stage for arguably the biggest match in this multi-year partnership to date.
