WWE is getting close to the premiere episode of SmackDown on FOX.
With promotion for the first show, which is now being titled “Friday Night SmackDown,” only ramping up, even more, a new commercial was released.
In it, the promo features several big names including Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Becky Lynch.
It also hypes the main event, which is Brock Lesnar challenging Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. You can watch it here:

FOX is helping promote the brand during its various sports broadcasts in hopes of increasing ratings when the show gets to the network. There is a one-hour “blue carpet” special scheduled before the big debut.
The belief is that it will be a new era for the company as it will be the start of SmackDown being viewed as the “A” show ahead of Monday Night RAW.
WWE Hall of Famers Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair, and Sting are advertised to appear.
The October 4th show takes place from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.
