CM Punk had some fun

CM Punk had some fun with fans by joking about the way he departed from WWE while responding to a post sent out by Eric Bischoff

It’s well known that on Tuesday it was confirmed that Bischoff has been replaced by Bruce Prichard as the executive director of SmackDown. He’s also no longer under contract with WWE after his latest stint started four months ago.

A post shared on the official Twitter account for his podcast 83 Weeks showed a shirt in the store that reads “Fired”, with a FedEx style font. This is supposed to be a joke about how wrestlers were fired by Bischoff via FedEx when he was in charge of WCW.

Punk decided to make a joke about his own firing by asking Bischoff if he was fired on his wedding day.

While Punk was on sabbatical from the company, he was served his termination papers on his wedding day to former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee.

For several weeks now there has been speculation as to whether Punk will make a WWE return. It all started when he had a recent tryout with FOX for the WWE Backstage studio show.

He has since confirmed through various interviews the tryout as his agents reached out to him because of how much Fox is investing in WWE with SmackDown.
