WWE SmackDown Results (10/30): Roman Reigns & Jey Uso, Survivor Series Qualifiers

Aalyah & Murphy Are A Couple

Murphy and Aalyah Mysterio came to the ring to begin the 2nd hour of SmackDown. Murphy said that he understands why Rey and Dominik Mysterio despise him but he is not the same person anymore. Murphy admitted to doing terrible things and as a man he needs to apologize to Rey and Dominik face-to-face.

Murphy begged for them to come to the ring because he needs to apologize. Seth Rollins interrupted and told Murphy that Rey and Dominik are never going to forgive him. Seth added that they will never accept whatever is going on between Aalyah and Murphy but he will.

Seth Rollins told Murphy that he will always accept him and will forgive him for what he has done. Rollins also stated that he embraces the relationship between Aalyah and Murphy and would marry them right now if he could. Seth claimed that there is a place for all of them in the greater good and stated that Rey has forced his hand every step of the way.

Rollins said that it seemed like Rey was controlling Aaliyah and that Dominik has become a coward. Dominik rushed the ring and attacked Seth Rollins. Dominik then shoved Murphy and they began fighting. Rey rushed the ring and tried to hit Murphy with the 619 but Aaiyah got in the way.

Aalyah said that was enough and that she loves Murphy. Rey and Dominik then left the ring as Aalyah and Murphy hugged. Rey demanded that she get out of the ring but she kissed Murphy instead as Rollins laughed at the top of the entrance ramp.

Opinion: Reigns and Jey Uso is the best storyline in wrestling right now but this is one of the worst. I just cannot wait for it to end. I don’t care if Rollins is behind all of this or what the conclusion is. SmackDown will be a better show once we get there.

Street Profits Picked Up A Win

Street Profits battled Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura tonight on SmackDown.

Sasha Banks Will Defend The SD Women’s Title Against Bayley Next Week

SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks came to the ring with the steel chair. Banks said that she finished what Bayley started and took the one thing she loved the most away from her. Sasha took a seat on the chair and thanked Bayley for stabbing her in the back because she finally ended an era.

Banks said that she thought Bayley was her sister but when she took this chair and tried to end her career she realized that she was unstoppable. Sasha added that she is the leader, the standard, the blueprint, and the Boss of SmackDown. Sasha brought up her upcoming match against Asuka at Survivor Series and said that she is the best of the best.

Bayley interrupted and joked that the world knows that Banks cannot hold onto a championship. Bayley boasted about being the longest reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion and claimed that Sasha cannot beat Asuka without her in the corner. She then challenged Banks to a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship next week and told Sasha to enjoy her two week title reign. Banks accepted and raised the SmackDown Women’s Championship to end the segment.

Jey Uso Qualified & Acknowledged Reigns As The Head Of The Table

Jey Uso squared off against Daniel Bryan in a Survivor Series Qualifying match in tonight’s main event.

Match Recap: Jey connected with a headbutt and followed it up with a massive Clothesline. Daniel Bryan battled back and knocked Jey out of the ring. Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman made their way down the ramp as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Jey connected with a Crossbody for a two count. Daniel sent Jey out of the ring and went for a Suicide Dive but Jey caught him with a Superkick. Jey went for a Splash but Bryan got his knees up and applied the LeBell Lock. Jey fought through the pain and reached the bottom rope to break the hold.

Bryan hit a Dropkick but Jey responded with a couple Superkicks. Jey climbed to the top rope and hit Daniel Bryan with the Uso Splash for the pinfall victory. Jey Uso qualified for the SmackDown team at Survivor Series. After the match, Jey told Roman that he is with him and he is the head of the table. Reigns looked at Bryan and Jey hit him with a Superkick. Jey followed it up with the Uso Splash and told Roman that he loved him. Roman told Jey to make Daniel Bryan understand how much he loved him.

Jey dragged Bryan out of the ring and sent him into the steel steps. Jey then put Daniel Bryan on the announce table as Reigns looked on. Jey made his way to the top rope and hit Bryan with the Uso Splash as Reigns smiled. Uso smashed Bryan’s head over and over on the table as SmackDown went off the air.

Opinion: This was excellent. It would have been ridiculous to see Jey Uso beat Daniel Bryan clean a couple months ago but it didn’t feel out of place at all tonight. Reigns is constructing a dominant heel stable and RETRIBUTION should be taking notes. Jey missed Bryan a bit with the Splash and it looked like he hit his ribs on the announce table. Overall, this week’s episode of SmackDown was a good show. I wish there were stakes at Survivor Series. It is difficult to care which superstar makes the team if they aren’t fighting for anything.
