WWE Friday Night SmackDown Viewership Sees Big Decline On FS1

Final numbers are in.

Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown on FS1 from averaged 888,000 viewers, according to ShowbuzzDaily. This is down from the 2.418 million viewers that the show did for last week’s episode of SmackDown on FOX.

The episode was expected to drop viewership due to the show going from FOX to FS1 as FS1 is in lesser homes than FOX. SmackDown pulled in .27 in the 18-49 demos.

The show had to go up against an MLB World Series game on FOX that averaged 12.220 million viewers.

Matches that took place on this show include Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler vs. New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston, Mandy Rose vs. Nikki Cross, and Ali, Roman Reigns & Shorty G (w/Hulk Hogan & Jimmy Hart) vs. Cesaro, King Corbin & Shinsuke Nakamura (w/Ric Flair & Sami Zayn) in a six-man tag team match.

The show also featured appearances by WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair.

WWE is expecting to see an increase in viewership for the following episode due to it airing on FOX, which should be interesting to see what number it pulls in. It will also serve as the post-Crown Jewel episode for SmackDown.
