AEW Teasing Big Debut For WrestleDream

AEW is teasing a debut for WrestleDream.

The company originally aired a 22-second vignette during the October 14 live three-hour special of Dynamite and Collision. The video showed a mystery person conducting an orchestra, but no further details were given at the time.

An extended version of this video was posted on AEW’s socials on Friday. While the footage itself did not give any new information, the caption of the post teased the reveal for the WrestleDream PPV tonight:

Spoiler On AEW WrestleDream Debut

Fightful Select has confirmed that the latest mystery vignette is signaling the arrival of none other than Ilja Dragunov. The 33-year-old became a free agent back in August after choosing not to renew his WWE contract.

The report suggested that the former NXT UK Champion had not debuted yet despite already being signed by the promotion because the company had been getting his visa situation rectified.

The latest AEW PPV will be taking place from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida on October 17, 2026. Will Ospreay will defend his World Title in a Clockwork Carnage match in the main event of the show, against names such as Samoa Joe, Mike Bailey, Adam Copeland, Konosuke Takeshita, Kazuchika Okada, Ricochet and Darby Allin.
