NXT House Show Main Event Called Off After Scary Injury

A scary injury at NXT.

WWE’s development brand held a live event in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, this Friday night. The main event of the show saw Birthright members Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Lexis King, Uriah Connors, and Charlie Dempsey taking on the team of Tony DeAngelo, Tavion Heights, Shiloh Hill, and Shawn Spears.

According to people in attendance, Stacks suffered a scary injury during the match while taking a back body drop from the ring onto the floor. One fan noted that the NXT star hit his face on the post and landed hard on the floor. The paramedics were quickly called in and they stretchered Lorenzo out after putting him in a neck brace.

The match was called off after that. The faces put Uriah Connors through a table to give fans something to cheer before ending the show.

This isn’t the only WWE injury of the night as R-Truth’s match against Damian Priest on SmackDown also ended early after the former landed awkwardly while attempting a missile dropkick. Not much is known about Truth’s health at the moment either.

Stay tuned for updates on both these injuries.
