Andrade is ok.
The AEW star picked up a big victory at last week’s Grand Slam: Mexico special of Dynamite, where he defeated Komander and Tommaso Ciampa to earn the #1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In.
He was attacked by a returning MJF after the bout, however, and the former AEW champion left the Mexican star bleeding after attacking him with the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
Sharing a photo of his injury on Twitter earlier this week, Andrade had claimed that he hadn’t been feeling well since the attack. The former champion said that he might have to go on a hiatus, fuelling speculations about a potential injury:
Hi everyone and especially Las Señoritas! I’ve just landed back in Miami, where I live, and I went straight to the DR. I hadn’t been feeling well since the Wednesday after the Grand Slam, but as a professional, I had two shows in Canada with MLP. I’ll keep you posted, but I have to be out of action for a few days or weeks. It’s nothing serious. Take care!
Update On Andrade
A new report from Fightful Select provided an update on the matter, confirming that the 36-year-old is doing fine. Regarding his tease about going on a hiatus, the site noted that the former WWE star actually has a scheduled week off and he is expected to be back on TV next week:
Fightful Select has learned that Andrade is fine, and that this was actually a scheduled week off for him. He’s expected to be back on TV the following week and the angle with MJF and for AEW All In is still on.
This is good news for the fans of Andrade, and now we will have to see if he is able to earn himself an AEW World Title shot by winning the Casino Gauntlet match at the upcoming PPV on August 30.
