Absent AEW star Britt Baker has been discussed for an upcoming special show produced by Tony Khan’s company.
The Doctor has not been seen on AEW television since November 2024. In a recent Fightful Select Answers Q&A, a question was asked about Britt Baker. The outlet reported that her name came up in conversations within AEW about the upcoming Rebel Heart Dynamite show, dedicated to AEW star Rebel, who has been diagnosed with ALS. The show will air from the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia on September 9.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion and Rebel had been associates in the company. At the same time, Baker and Rebel were seen together in numerous social media posts. Their history and close acquaintanceship could have been the reason for her name reportedly coming up in the aforementioned discussion.
On the other hand, Britt Baker has been one of AEW’s top attractions for years. However, her tenure has reportedly seen turmoil with stars like MJF and even Tony Khan himself, with backstage altercations reported in the past.
Moreover, her last was on an episode of Dynamite against Penelope Ford in November 2024. Since then, Britt Baker has been active on social media and made major public appearances. At the same time, she has cryptically spoken about her AEW status.
On one occasion, The D.M.D. stated that her return to AEW was not in her hands. Most recently, Baker was asked to return to the ring, to which she had replied, “Should I?”.
With Baker’s future uncertain, we will have to wait and see if she does show up on Dynamite.
