Chris Jericho has landed a major television role. The legendary superstar will be playing the villain in an upcoming episode of the CBS series Tracker.
Jericho announced on March 16, 2026 via Instagram that he will appear in the Tracker episode titled “Breakaway.”

Jericho hyped his role on Instagram, saying:
"Stoked to announce I’ll be playing the lead bad guy on this Sunday’s episode of @trackercbs, the NUMBER ONE SHOW on network tv!!! The episode is called #Breakaway starring @justinhartley, @fionarene, @davidpaulramsey & @durance.erica and was directed by #DavidBarrett! I play #VirgilDean and let’s just say, he’s not a nice guy. Can’t wait for you all to see it, THIS SUNDAY at 9pm EST on @cbstv & @paramountplus!"
He will be playing a character named Virgil Dean. The episode, which airs Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+, also stars Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene, David Ramsey as veteran stuntman Baxter, and Erica Durance as accomplished stuntwoman Laura.
The 'Breakaway' episode plot: After veteran stuntman Baxter disappears following a risky stunt, his girlfriend Laura calls Colter to investigate a B-movie set, uncovering shady producers and a trail leading into a dangerous underground world.
The episode was written by Travis Donnelly & Dominque Holmes, and directed by Dave Barrett.
Tracker is the #1 series on CBS with 17.3 million viewers.
