Chris Jericho TV Series Is Close to Filming a Pilot

Chris Jericho says a TV series based on his first book, A Lion's Tale, is close to filming a pilot, with an actor from Letterkenny in line to play him.

Chris Jericho’s early years could soon be coming to television.

Jericho told Skratch N’ Sniff that a series based on his first autobiography, A Lion’s Tale, is moving toward a pilot.

We are actually working on something based on my first book, A Lion’s Tale, that we’ve been working on for a while, of doing a TV series based on that.

And so we’ve kind of moved it up the food chain, and it’s getting pretty close to filming a pilot, and we do have an actor that is very similar to me when I was first starting out that was from the Letterkenny series, if you ever watch that show.

Jericho wouldn’t name the actor.

I won’t say who it is in Letterkenny, but there is a real facial similarity.

He said the show would focus on the start of his career.

I always have to push the envelope that we might have a whole actual TV series about kind of the early years of my career which would be a lot of fun. So that’s something we’re working on and we’re getting, you know, we’re moving to the pilot stage fairly, fairly soon.

A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex was released in 2007 and covers Jericho’s childhood and his rise through the wrestling business. He followed it with Undisputed in 2011 and The Best in the World in 2014.

No network or release window has been announced. Jericho has been busy in Hollywood lately, including landing the role of Gorgeous George in a Muhammad Ali series.
