Contract update on Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford.
The two AEW originals have been with the company since its inception in 2019. They were part of some of the promotion’s first shows and have been AEW regulars ever since.
The two stars have not been seen on TV for the past few months, however, sparking speculation about their potential exit from the company.
Some of the rumors used a Fightful article to support their claims that Ford and Sabian’s contracts were expiring soon, but the site has now clarified things. According to the latest Fightful Select report, the real-life couple still have years left on their current deals with the promotion.

Penelope Ford is currently out of action with a leg injury she suffered during the February 25 episode of Dynamite while performing a dive from the top rope. Sabian has also not wrestled on TV since the April 22 episode of ROH this year, though the reason behind his absence is not known.
AEW rarely releases talents before their contract expires, and with the latest reports, it seems unlikely that the two originals will be leaving the promotion anytime soon.
