Damian Priest is heading to Netflix, and not for wrestling.
The WWE Tag Team Champion has joined the voice cast of Steps, an animated Cinderella reimagining that hits the streamer on November 20. Priest voices Cracktor, described as a fantastical, formidable monster-man.
As WWE Superstars, we use our voices as an extension of our onscreen character. I enjoyed channeling that energy into making Cracktor feel intense and larger than life. I think people are going to be surprised by how much of a show-stealing character he is.

Steps flips the fairy tale onto Cinderella’s so-called evil stepsisters. Ali Wong voices Lilith, who swipes the Fairy Godmother’s wand, hijacks the Royal Ball and accidentally hands the kingdom to a scheming usurper. Stephanie Hsu plays her sister Margot. Amanda Seyfried voices Cinderella, who winds up an ally instead of a rival.
Priest lands on a deep bench. Bette Midler is the Fairy Godmother, Daniel Radcliffe is The Prince, Peter Dinklage is Roderick, Nikki Glaser is Priscilla and Young Mazino is Gef.
Alyce Tzue and John Ripa direct, with Amy Poehler among the producers. The film is a milestone for the streamer, the first feature produced end-to-end inside Netflix Animation Studios.
Priest has plenty in front of him before November. He and R-Truth defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against the War Raiders in a title vs. title match on Friday’s SmackDown, the go-home show ahead of SummerSlam on August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis.
