EC3 is drawing concern from wrestling fans after footage from an ASW Canada show showed him lumbering to the ring before a match for the promotion’s Heavyweight Championship.
The clip shows Ethan Carter III, introduced by the ring announcer as the “Top One Percent,” limping and visibly uncomfortable during his walk to the squared circle against Leon Lokombo. He briefly hits his signature pose before the discomfort returns.
The footage spread quickly on X, racking up millions of views and pulling in a wave of worried responses. Several fans zeroed in on his movement and asked whether people close to him should step in. One fan wrote, “Hope someone close to him reaches out and gets him the help he needs.”
Other reactions ranged from concern about his physical condition to outright surprise that he competed at all given how he looked walking to the ring. No cause has been confirmed, and neither EC3 nor ASW has addressed the reaction publicly as of this writing.
Where EC3 Stands Heading Into The Appearance
The indie date comes during an active stretch for EC3. He returned to TNA Wrestling in April after departing NWA at the start of the year, and he remains connected to Control Your Narrative, the promotion he launched out of Cleveland after his WWE release in 2020.
This is not a confirmed injury report, and this article will be updated if EC3 or a representative comments on his condition.
