Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda) sadly passed away in August 2023. His legacy, however, remains fresh on the minds of his former colleagues.
This includes the members of Wyatt Sicks, who joined forces to honor Wyatt on WWE programming from 2024 until 2026.
During an interview with Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Nikki Cross, who portrayed Abby The Witch, recalled a heartwarming interaction Wyatt had with a young fan in the midst of their workout session in Europe.
I remember one time it was just the two of us in the gym, and there was this kid and his dad. It was in somewhere in Europe, maybe in England somewhere. I was stretching or whatever, working out, and there was this kid that was just waiting outside the gym,” Cross said. “They were just waiting for Bray to come out so that he could get an autograph. I remember watching Bray just literally go bring the kid in and made the kid feel like it was Christmas morning. I just watched that, and I was like, that’s how I always want to be. It was such a great example he set. And again, it wasn’t like there was a lot of us in the gym.
Wyatt’s kindness extended to his WWE co-workers as well. The third-generation wrestler routinely went out his way to help out the company’s up-and-coming stars, including Cross and her husband Big Damo (also known as Killian Dain).
Cross specifically remembered Wyatt encouraging her to seek him out if she needed anything at WWE live events or elsewhere.
He went out of his way to be like, ‘Hey, how you doing? If you need anything, let me know.’ No one was asking him to do that. He would do that, and no one was watching. No one was around. But it was almost like he understood what it was like to be [in that position].
Cross joined WWE in 2016. She, along with the other members of the Wyatt Sicks, later exited the company as a result of talent releases in April 2026.
