Former WWE Star Calls Big E Neck Injury ‘Karma’

ByBishal RoyProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Former WWE star Lars Sullivan has publicly declared that Big E’s career-threatening neck injury was “karma,” calling the former WWE Champion an “anti-white racist” in a social media post that has drawn immediate backlash from the wrestling community.

The former WWE Superstar made the comments on X, escalating a long-running pattern of attacks aimed at Big E and The New Day. Big E suffered a broken neck during a 2022 match, an injury serious enough to leave his in-ring future in doubt, which is part of why the remark landed so hard with fans.

In the post, Sullivan went after The New Day for kneeling during social justice demonstrations and referenced both George Floyd and Austin Metcalf before invoking Big E’s injury directly.

Why does the New Day only kneel for criminal pieces of s*** like George floyd? Not a peep about Austin Metcalf? Interesting how that works. Glad everyone sees the scam that was blm. Sucks what they did though. Big e is an anti white racist. His neck break was karma :)

A Long History Of Controversy

This is not the first time Sullivan has targeted Big E. He previously drew backlash for attacking Big E over the former WWE Champion’s support of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, when Big E spoke publicly about systemic racism and inequality.

Sullivan responded at the time in a since-deleted post, accusing Big E of virtue signaling and describing the movement as corrupt, racist, and anti-white.

The controversy traces back even further. During his time in WWE, Sullivan was fined $100,000 for offensive comments unearthed from message boards, including racist, sexist, and homophobic remarks.

His exit from the promotion was covered in detail in the backstage news on Lars Sullivan’s release from WWE, and an update on his post-WWE plans offered the most recent look at where he stands today.

Big E has not responded to Sullivan’s latest post as of publication.
