The Undertaker reveals financial advice.
The Dead Man was recently approached by the School of Hard Knocks for a brief interview. He was asked about pursuing wrestling as a career and if people thought he was crazy at first. The wrestling legend noted that even his parents didn’t support him at first, because he left a “full-ride scholarship playing basketball” to become a pro wrestler.
During the talk, The Undertaker also revealed that he became a millionaire at 27. When asked what was the most money he made in a single year as a wrestler, the Last Outlaw said it was “Just shy of $15 million.” Asked about the greatest piece of financial advice he can offer the younger generation after making so much money, the former World Champion recalled something his dad had told him:
Ah, it’s funny because it came from my dad as well. He said, ‘Son, always live beneath your means. You never know what tomorrow has in store for you. And if it all goes away, what are you going to do?’ So I can do and drive anything that I want to drive. I drive a 2018 Ford F-250. I don’t put on and do things for other people, and I’m happy.
After discussing his religious beliefs, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed the one last message he would leave the younger generation with if he died tomorrow. The Undertaker told young people to ‘embrace the suck’ if they want to be something. He also advised people not to let success get to their heads and failures to their hearts.
