Justin Bieber, Novak Djokovic Go Full WWE At Fanatics Fest

ByMike ReichlinProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Justin Bieber hit a full nWo entrance and Novak Djokovic walked the ramp in Jacob Fatu’s mask as WWE took over Fanatics Fest NYC on Saturday. The Javits Center crossover turned into the wildest content run of the weekend, hours before WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event across town at Madison Square Garden.

Bieber’s surprise appearance leaned all the way into wrestling. The pop star strutted out in an nWo shirt and soaked up a pro-style entrance before performing, and WWE’s account posted the clip with a “BIEBER 4 LIFE” caption.

He didn’t stop there. Bieber went shirtless to shoot hoops, sank a few threes, and took cuts at the MLB batting activation while the NBA and MLB accounts traded highlights of his day.

Novak Djokovic borrows a mask from Jacob Fatu

Djokovic went even deeper into character. The 24-time Grand Slam champion pulled on Jacob Fatu’s Samoan Werewolf mask and hit a full WWE-style entrance, complete with red lighting and a wolf backdrop, with Fatu walking him out.

It wasn’t an official WWE signing or debut, just a crossover bit for the crowd, but the sight of Djokovic stalking to the ring in Fatu’s gear had fans doing double takes.

Roman Reigns runs the Javits Center

Roman Reigns was everywhere. He posed with New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson and San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, laughing off the height gap, then cleared a FIFA-style soccer shootout and a field goal challenge.

The punch machine treated him better than the basketball did. Reigns lit up the UFC punch activation but went 0-for-6 from three, and on the Nightcap podcast he floated roughly three more years at the top before he’s done.

John Cena turns the punch machine into a bit

John Cena refused to take any of it seriously. Wearing a Knicks shirt and cargo shorts with a fresh buzz cut, Cena stepped up to the same punch machine, then slapped his own knee instead and cracked, “Still haven’t hit anybody for real,” a wink at wrestling’s worked punches.

Earlier he milked a Reigns tribute, walking to the Tribal Chief’s music and stretching the entrance out for several minutes while the crowd howled.

Tom Brady slaps Logan Paul

The loudest non-wrestling moment came when Tom Brady smacked Logan Paul across the face during a stage panel, footage that spread fast across TMZ and other outlets. Paul played it up afterward, joking that he was “suing,” while fans argued over whether the slap was staged.

Between Bieber’s nWo run, Djokovic in Fatu’s mask, Cena’s fake punch and Brady’s very real slap, Saturday at Fanatics Fest produced more viral wrestling-flavored clips than most WWE TV tapings. The actual wrestling hadn’t even started yet at the Garden.
