Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight are next in line for the AEW World Tag Team Championship after a doctor stoppage at AEW All Out.
Fletcher and Knight faced Darby Allin and Steven Borden in a number one contender’s match on Saturday at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The winners earned a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Fletcher and Knight worked over Allin for most of the match. Borden, the son of Sting, eventually got the hot tag and went for a Stinger Splash. He flew over the top rope to the floor and was sent into the barricade.
Allin hit a dive to the outside before Knight took him out with a jumping knee strike.
Borden and Knight then traded a coast-to-coast spot. The doctor checked on Borden right after he landed, and the match was called off. Fletcher and Knight were declared the winners by doctor stoppage.
There is no word yet on Borden’s condition.
