Michael Cole Reveals Famous WrestleMania Line Was Off The Cuff

Michael Cole reveals that his famous WWE line was not planned in advance.

The voice of WWE recently spoke to Outkick for a new interview. He talked about things such as the rise of Roman Reigns, what a normal week looks like for him, CM Punk’s WWE return and more.

During the talk, the WWE veteran was also asked if he always knows the finish of matches he is calling in advance. Michael Cole explained that the ratio is 50-50 because sometimes he needs to know the finish to lead the audience towards the intended story.

The 59-year-old then mentioned that sometimes he likes not to know the ending of matches in order to let the excitement take him over:

Sometimes, I don’t like to know the ending of matches. The Money In The Bank match is a great example. I want the excitement to take over. There have been some great matches over the years that I didn’t know the finish for.

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar when Brock Lesnar defeated Undertaker and ended his undefeated streak at WrestleMania. I didn’t know that was going to happen.

I didn’t know that Seth Rollins was going to cash in Money In The Bank at WrestleMania [31]. The term ‘Heist of the Century’ I came up with on the fly.
