The Mick Foley series still doesn’t have a completed script, but according to Paul Walter Hauser, the project is picking up real momentum behind the scenes.
Appearing on Not Sam Wrestling, Hauser was asked for an update on both the Foley project and a separate Chris Farley biopic he’s also attached to. He made clear the Foley series currently has more traction, explaining that while there’s no script yet, the team assembling around the project makes it feel increasingly real, while the Farley project remains on pause for now.
Yeah, Mick Foley’s further along than Farley. We don’t have a script. Mick Foley, just… we’re assembling the team and it feels more real right now.”

Hauser first confirmed his casting as the WWE Hall of Famer back in February, revealing at the time that the series would focus on Foley’s broader life story rather than just his in-ring career, with an emphasis on capturing his humor and personality alongside the wrestling.
The project still hasn’t been picked up by a network or streaming service, and no production timeline has been set. But with Hauser describing active progress on assembling the team, the series appears to be moving forward rather than stalling in development.
