PAC’s family thanked Tony Khan, AEW and fans around the world in a statement Renee Paquette read on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, a show dedicated to Benjamin Satterley, who died at 40.
The Satterley family said they are “completely devastated to have lost our beautiful Ben,” and that support from every corner of the globe has helped them through the last few days. It came after AEW announced his death.
They described him as “an honorable man with principles” who adored his family and his “sausage dog son, Wolfie.” The statement said he loved Newcastle United, reggae and hip-hop.
The family also spoke about his time in AEW. They said he met Khan in late 2018, that Khan’s faith in him was never lost on him, and that he was always committed to giving the best performance he could. Satterley was proud to be part of the AEW family, they said, in an encouraging and caring environment where he made wonderful friends.
The statement closed by thanking everyone at AEW for their help through the tragedy, and was signed by the Satterley family. Paquette read it during the second hour of the Pittsburgh show, and Khan thanked fans after the tribute.
