Maxxine Dupri has a short answer for anyone who thinks WWE: Unreal pulls the curtain back too far. Stop watching.
Dupri covered the Netflix series and life on the road in an interview with the Witty Whittier YouTube channel. When asked what fans misjudge about the job, she went to the travel.
I think I’m going to say, I think the schedule. I think people just don’t realize how much you’re not home and, like, how much you’re spending time on the road, which is a beautiful thing. I think it’s like the blessing and the curse, right?”
She said the part people miss is simply how little time she spends at home. Her point was not that fans are clueless about it. It was that knowing about early flights and landing in time to go straight to a show is a different thing from living it.
Dupri answers the WWE: Unreal criticism
The Netflix series has drawn steady complaints since it debuted for exposing too much of how the business works. WWE talent have landed on both sides of it. Dupri is firmly on one.
She traced her own entry point to Total Divas and said she will back anything that shows that side of wrestling. She also pushed back on the premise, noting that WWE films across the entire year and six episodes can only hold a sliver of it.

She followed it by asking whether the people complaining have any willpower or self-discipline, called the show incredible, and suggested critics hit next.
