Street Fighter Movie Debuts First Trailer at Game Awards, Featuring Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes
The cast of Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Street Fighter movie made a surprise appearance at The Game Awards on Thursday night, debuting the first trailer with a look at all 17 iconic characters.
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were among the stars on hand at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for the reveal. Reigns stars as the demonic Akuma, while Rhodes takes on the role of American military hero Guile.
The trailer offered the first glimpse at the wrestlers’ transformations into their video game counterparts, alongside co-stars Noah Centineo (Ken Masters), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chun-Li), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Jason Momoa (Blanka), and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Balrog).
Set in 1993, the film follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken as they’re recruited by Chun-Li for the World Warrior Tournament, uncovering a deadly conspiracy that forces them to confront their past.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter is produced by Legendary Pictures in association with Capcom. Jason Momoa serves as a producer in addition to his on-screen role.
Street Fighter arrives in theaters October 16, 2026.
