Seth Rollins Advertised For Dark Match Before Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins is advertised for a six-man tag dark match after this Friday’s SmackDown from the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana, the night before Money in the Bank. He is listed alongside LA Knight and Solo Sikoa against 946’s Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price.

A dark match takes place after the broadcast goes off the air, so it won’t be televised. Rollins, who recently confirmed three years remain on his WWE contract, hasn’t appeared on WWE television since losing to Roman Reigns in the SummerSlam Night 2 main event in Minneapolis on August 2.

Speaking with ESPN Chicago’s Waddle and Silvy, Rollins said, “I’ve been off WWE television since SummerSlam,” and added that he’ll come back when the time is right. He didn’t give a date, and WWE hasn’t announced one, though he has worked WWE live events in South America during the break.

Why the card could change

The six-man was advertised before Solo Sikoa reunited with The Bloodline on Raw this week. Sikoa is now set to team with The Usos against Keys, Nima and Price in a six-man tag on Raw on October 12, after 946 spent weeks targeting the family, including kidnapping Sikoa in the storyline.

The Cajundome has advertised a different matchup for Friday, 946 against The Usos and Jacob Fatu, who was run over by a car on Raw on September 28 in the storyline. The two advertised lineups don’t match, and dark match cards can change before showtime.

CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Gunther are also advertised for the Lafayette show. Money in the Bank takes place Saturday, October 10, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

Tickets for SmackDown at the Cajundome are available through Ticketmaster.
