The Great Khali is making more money than ever.
The former WWE star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a rare interview in English. He talked about things such as his days working in the Punjab police, how he got into wrestling, working in Japan and more.
When asked how he became The Great Khali in WWE, the wrestling veteran revealed that he was given only two choices for a ring name. He didn’t choose the other option, as it was based on Mahatma Gandhi
Vince McMahon. Vince said Great Gandhi or Great Khali. I said I can choose Gandhi, but Gandhi is a peaceful guy.

The Great Khali was also asked why he thinks he is loved by fans so much. While answering the question, Khali revealed that he is able to cash in on that popularity and he is making more money now than ever:
I have some commandment, then I deliver this thing. You know, I have almost 200 commercials. So I make more money now than I made in WWE. I do so many commercials. Every week I shoot a commercial.
The Great Khali is one of the most recognizable faces in India, and he has been featured in popular commercials such as KFC and Ambuja Cement. The giant has also appeared on prominent Indian TV shows such as Big Boss and The Kapil Sharma Show.
Apart from appearing in commercials, Khali has founded Continental Wrestling Entertainment in India, and he is involved in the restaurant and real estate businesses.
