Bear Bronson earned this title shot in just his second TNA match, winning a 20-man Battle Royal on December 18 by last eliminating Eric Young. Kazarian won the title controversially in November by cashing in on Mike Santana after NXT invaders attacked the then-champion. With Santana\'s rematch waiting at Genesis, Kazarian can\'t afford a slip-up against the hungry challenger.
