Tony Khan provides an update.
The AEW President opened the All Out media scrum with an update on Steven Borden Jr. after his scary injury at the PPV. Khan revealed all tests done so far have come back good, and they are hopeful that the wrestling star will be allowed to fly home tomorrow:
First and foremost, I wanted to get down to business and say I have a great update. Thankfully Steven Borden [is] awake and responsive at the hospital, and he had a CT scan, and all the tests have come back good. So far all good results, and we’re hopeful Steven is gonna be able to fly home tomorrow to his family.
Steven Borden was stretchered out of the arena after failing a coast-to-coast attempt during his match on the show. The match was called off immediately after the spot, and the duo of Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher were declared the winners.
The victory earns Knight and Fletcher the right to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Bucks won the belts from Cage and Cope during the PPV.
There is no word on the immediate plans for Borden after his injury. Though he is likely to be placed in concussion protocol and kept away from the ring for at least a few weeks.
